IOS PRE-REQUISITES FOR SHORTCUT MAGIC EFFECTS

To ensure the magic shortcuts run smoothly on your iPhone, follow these steps:

1. REQUIRED APPS

Shortcuts App

Ensure you have the Shortcuts app installed. It comes pre-installed on iPhones since iOS 13. If it's missing, download it here: Shortcuts App.

Actions App

In order for these shortcuts to run, you need to have an additional app installed called Actions. This app expands the capabilities of your shortcuts by providing additional actions. To find and install the Actions app, follow these steps:

  • Download and Install: Follow THIS LINK to install
  • Launch the App: After installation, open the Actions app to ensure it is properly set up.
  • Restart Your Device: To make the actions show up in the Shortcuts app, restart your device after launching the Actions app.

Files App

Confirm the Files app is installed. It's usually pre-installed, but if missing, download it here: Files App.

2. ADJUST YOUR IPHONE SETTINGS

To optimize your device for the effects:

  • Auto-Lock:

Go to Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock, and set it to "Never."

  • Sounds & Haptics:

Navigate to Settings > Sounds & Haptics, and turn off Change with Buttons.

  • Face ID & Passcode:

Enable Use Face ID for iPhone Unlock under Settings > Face ID & Passcode.

  • Shortcuts Advanced Settings:

Go to Settings > Shortcuts > Advanced, and ensure all toggles are turned on.
