An email will be sent in with config for desktops.

We should have a minimum stock level (x20 of each item throught the country).

In the workshop we will need to make calls chargeable if desktop has no fault found.
8 hour fix on desktops. 7 days a week cover. 9am - 5pm

* Follow Build sheet [Barratt Build Instructions from scratch]
* Boot to USB Stick. (Robert has one that is automated).

Print out
\\belper1\Shared\Workshop Build docs
* Find Barratt Network Lead to activate windows.

==Completing Build once it's already pre-built ready to go out==
Plugg in network lead - Green or Purple wire.
Print Unity details off and check which site it is - David Wilson or Barratt Homes etc.
Make a note of the SITE NAME & OU (North, West etc....).
Log into PC with Administrator / networkadmin
Follow the tick sheet.
On The Server - Add Computer to Active Directory. (Look on the back page of instructions to see where geographical location will be, eg NW is BH Warrnington). In Unity full details it usually says which OU it is.

Log in with richards / bteengineer
Remote Desktop - connect.


If pre-built do parts 1 & 2 from the build sheet.

If you get error: when right clicking and select New > Computer an Active Directory Domain Service dialog box pops up saying: "Windows cannot create the new computer object because the pre-windows 2000 computer name WS16299 is already in use. Select another name and try again".
Solution: Click on Active Directory icon on the desktop & find the location under "isales". Right click on it and Select New Computer.

Click on find > change to computers and search on Entire Directory

(If unable to see which OU in the Active Directory it needs to be in call John Russell on 01530278234)

Type the computer Name (Found on the side of the Machine which will start WS....) Click OK.
Double click and re-name it to the same format all the others are in. (Type in site reference name at the end). Click APPLY.
Right Click again and go to ALL TASKS > Add to group. Type in "corporatewirelesscomputer" Click Check Name which underlines it. Click OK.

If you are moving it Isales is on "BH/Computers"

On The PC being built - go to "my computer > properties > Change settings. Click CHANGE Click DOMAIN type in Barratt.internal which then asks for the username and password: bteengineer / richards
(If you are locked out at this point call barratt isales - someone called John).
CLICK RE-START LATER.
DOS > gpupdate /force & then re-boot.
Log back in (Click Switch User & Log in as bteengineer / richards
Check that wifi has connected to BDCORP.
Change wallpaper to suit wherever the machine is being sent.
(if it has not connected to BDCORP do a GP update again).
Put paperwork in the box with the PC "Isales site installation tracking".
Clear down to IDW.

1891742 = Movement passed to workshop 28/08/2013 11:23:00. BARSYS-3002CTO- HP COMPAQ ELITE 8300 AIO TOUCH 23 PC. Passed to Russ in stores to bring kit into workshop. Russ can't find this - he's cancelled the movement and he thinks Paul Wright has already collected this?
