literally anything and everything. Mix it up. I never start with the same song. It’s not going to get any easier when we have Wedding websites like "The Knot" telling brides what not to have played. I have a bride that put every song for The Knots do not play list on her do not play list! I’m more than capable of reading a crowd and playing accordingly but The Knot needs to stay in their lane!

1st, No two events are the same so why would one assume one song fits every dance floor. 2nd, Read the crowd, they’ll give you the answers. More importantly step out of the comfort zone (behind DJ BOOTH) and talk to people, introduce yourself. They’ll give you the answers especially once they now your the DJ plus you’ll find the spirit table / people. Drop there song and watch the energy level sky rocket as they pull people to the dance floor. Don’t be afraid to play something different, you might be amazed and it could be the best night you’ve ever rocked! Sure have 5-6 songs you can rely on but don’t assume it’ll work at each wedding, corporate event or celebration. Clubs are a little different and that is typically determined for me by BPM and what I am trying to accomplish for the night. For instance I may start with classics that get everyone bobbing and singing to lyrics then throw in some dance floor ragers and hour or so into the set building up from there.
