Ohtani is the 31st gun
With Clayton Kershaw returning to the mound after undergoing shoulder surgery, Shohei Ohtani hit his 31st home run of the season.
Kershaw, the legendary starting pitcher of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the U.S. Major League Baseball (MLB), was replaced after allowing two runs on six hits in four innings at home against the San Francisco Giants at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles today (26th).
Kershaw, who posted 72 pitches, struck out six and allowed two walks.
Kershaw, the Dodgers' franchise star, had shoulder surgery after last season and has been focusing on rehabilitation.
The Dodgers won 6-4 in the bottom of the eighth inning when Nick Ahmed and Ohtani hit "back-to-back" home runs.
Ohtani, who played as the first designated hitter and hit his 31st home run of the season, led the National League in home runs.
