Another parent who supported the decision said, "Basketball team members train only about two hours a day due to constant waiting orders for the coach of the basketball team and renting a gym. Players' right to learn and exercise is being infringed upon. However, the school is not interested in the basketball team at all. We should at least close the team."

Earlier on the 6th, Sports Seoul reported that Hwimoonjung's basketball team did not attend the "2024 Korean Secondhand Basketball Weekend League King of Kings" held in Yanggu.
