The absence of Iranian players, including Choi Dae-eo

The absence of Iranian players, including the biggest fish, was large. On-site evaluations are sharply divided.

The Korea Volleyball Federation (KOVO) is in the process of trying out the 2024 men's Asian quarter from the 1st.

On the first day, a medical test and practice match were held, and the second round of the physical measurement and practice match was played on the day.

There were variables even before the Asian quarter for men. Iranians were absent en masse. Former national team player Sayed Mohammad Mousavi, who was evaluated as the biggest player, Mohammad Barbast, Amirhasan Fahadi, Saeed Ranjiva, Saruz Khomayunfamanesi, Amirhosane Sadati of Iran and Isromjon Sobyanv of Uzbekistan were absent.

Iranian players have notified their absence due to personal reasons, but Uzbekistan's Sobyanov could not participate due to visa issues. As a result, six Iranian players will be banned from participating in the V-League through the 2025 Asian quarter tryout, but Sobyanov can try next season.

Coincidentally, all six Iranian players who were absent were receiving good reviews from the field. There were even teams that said they would nominate the biggest fish, Musabi, without seeing it in person.

The tryout took place amid regret. On-site evaluations were mixed. Some say that there are still players to pull out, while others say that there are no players to pull out as expected.

"Iranian players are still better. They are looking better physically," a club source said. Another source said, "It was a disaster. I don't think I need to try out at this rate."

Among the Iranian players, Ali Fazli and Aref Moradi received good reviews, while China's Xinfeng Deng, who boasts the largest height among the participants, is also likely to be nominated

A day later, the long-awaited draft will take place on the 3rd. The last practice game before the draft will be held. Attention is drawn to what the clubs will choose.
