NC Koo Chang-mo is out of the season to diagnose a fracture in his left arm

Koo Chang-mo, one of the young left-handed aces representing the KBO League, including his team NC Dinos, was eventually out for the season. The NC club said on the 28th that it will exclude Koo Chang-mo from the first division entry.

This is because of an arm problem that has plagued him all season. Koo Chang-mo pitched 2.1 innings as the second pitcher from the top of the sixth inning after Song Myung-ki, who started the first game of the doubleheader against the KIA Tigers at Changwon NC Park on the 27th.

He had one walk and one strikeout and no run during the inning, but he voluntarily dropped out after complaining of arm pain. Koo Chang-mo later visited the emergency room of Cheonga Hospital, a club-designated hospital, and underwent X-rays and CT scans on the pain area.

The news that Koo Chang-mo and the club want to avoid the most has been delivered. The club announced, "As a result of the examination, it was diagnosed that it was a fracture of the forearm (arm) and ulnar (wrist)."

Koo Chang-mo was injured again where he was injured. He underwent rehabilitation after being diagnosed with muscle damage in his left forearm and ulnar fatigue fracture in June, and returned to the mound through a Futures (second division) league game on the 19th.

He made the final list of the national baseball team participating in the Hangzhou Asian Games, where manager Ryu Joong-il is at the helm, but eventually failed to make it to Hangzhou. Coach Ryu and the national baseball team judged that Koo Chang-mo's physical condition was not normal. Kim Young-kyu, a teammate and the same left-handed pitcher, was selected on behalf of Koo Chang-mo.

The club added, "Since it is a holiday period until October 3, additional checkups have been scheduled after visiting a specialized hospital after October 4." However, Koo Chang-mo faced a situation where surgery was inevitable.

Since the opening of this season, Koo Chang-mo has pitched in 11 games so far, playing 51.2 innings, and recording 1 win, 3 losses and a 2.96 ERA. Koo Chang-mo, who left Ulsan Technical High School and was nominated to NC as the third-ranked player in the second first round in 2015, pitched 680.1 innings in 174 games with 47 wins, 37 losses and a 3.68 ERA.
