What to do?

Blink your eyes three times with three seconds in-between. Breath in and out three cycles.

The wandering mind starving in brain chemicals do well to ask this question every hour of waking life. When this question pops in one's mind, the answer it's looking for is usually for seeking instant gratification and pain relief. But there are times where it takes different answers.

The world is vast, more vast than any webtoons we read. Thus, there are countless things to do.

Progressives

A way to make you feel like you're making progress in life.

To-do

Maybe you got a homework you need to pass tomorrow. Maybe you have something important to do now. Maybe you can organize your notes so it's easier to find them. Perhaps you can study the school textbooks and take some notes so you don't have to do it one day before the exam.

Contacts

Check your messages and email, perhaps someone replied to you and you haven't replied back. Maybe there's an important announcement about school-related stuff. Don't get caught in the death scroll trap though.

Hobby: Book Writing

Perhaps it's time for you to learn how to write a book, edit all those raw chapters and compile them in a publishable material. Maybe it's time for the world to hear your ideas while you sit back and let the book sales pile up like a mountain. This may take a little bit effort but it's definitely worth it.

Exploration

Gotta get those dopamine receptors alive and pumping.

Chaos: Hunting

It might be a fun idea to go the forest, install some traps or chase some rabbits. Most of the time you'll get nothing, maybe you'll get a rabbit, but if today's your lucky day, you might be able to find a lifetime treasure. After all, there's no better thrill than to hunt.

Chaos: Island Hopping

One of the great things in life is traveling, especially between islands. Most of the time they're just deserted islands but some of them can be really beautiful. Who knows, maybe, you'll see some new animal species you haven't seen before? Or maybe you'll get eaten by a cannibalistic tribe? After all, there's no better to place to explore than the unknown.

Trading

There's no better hobby for an analytical basement dweller than to stare at the cool looking charts all day and make money from it. It's such a godsend activity for any statistical genius who happened to be born in a poor family, that by simply turning their mental gears and a few clicks on the phone, they're already on the path to riches.

Drunken Pleasure

Ah life must be so freakin brutal that one so often disregards the future and forgets the consequences just to have a little bit of relief from suffering. Surely it won't hurt to take a little sniff and get a hit?

Learning

It never stops because the universe is such a never-ending mystery.

Contemplation

Would you like to understand what the hell just happened to your life, and what else will happen to it in the future? This fortune-telling activity is as simple as staring into the nothingness, slowly looking at your memories that led to this present situation. One can learn something more important than any books or teacher can provide by simply staring into nothingness.

Reading

Ah the good old pastime since ten thousand years ago. What else is a more efficient way to share and take information than by reading written words? All the great thinkers had one thing in common: they have read hundreds of books, some even eat research papers for breakfast.

Watching

Moving pictures are one of the greatest inventions. But tutorial videos are simply more difficult to watch than funny videos. Yet there are some difficult practices that can only be learned through videos alone. How about you down your imaginary ADHD and stay still for five minutes while watching the tutorial video?

Independent Research

One of the most grueling and tiresome activities yet becomes very interesting and immersive once you get into it. Anyone with a curious mind has something to research on. Maybe they want to know about the effects of social isolation on neurology. Maybe they want to know about algorithmic trading and how to code with it. Maybe they want to know about people with spiritual powers and how they acquired it.

Nope

When one doesn't feel like doing anything, what do they do? They either take a nap or fall into the state of drunken pleasure. Our turn is yet to come, it's better to dream and sleep, even if all of our dreams has disappeared a month ago. A good sleep is surely one of the greatest things in life.
