Somewhere around the corners of my encrypted notebook, I wrote and daydreamed about a town, where there's green, yellow, and red question marks posted on most houses, stores, and facilities, where people, who calls themselves adventurers, inquires into these places and sets on upon a great quest.
With Questing, everyone can become an independent contractor and everyone can easily hire these contractors, regardless of their education, status, age, or depth of knowledge.
Anyone is allowed to participate provided that they already have an NPC license if they will be giving quest or an Adventurer license if they will be accepting quest.
Of course, this is regulated by law, those who earn or pay higher amounts are required to pay taxes.
All questing activities and contracts are regulated by the International Adventurers Association who ensures the integrity, security, and safety of everyone involved in these quests.
Those who take quests are called "adventurers", while those who give the quests are called "NPCs". Any aspiring adventurers are required to get an adventurer license by attending an orientation seminar.
The license fee will be charged on the rewards of the adventurers' first quest, so they don't need to pay for it.
However, those who want to get the NPC license must first pay for the license fee before they can get it, where they'll be required to attend seminars and pass documents for the IAA to ensure that those who get NPC license have enough knowledge to create quests and rewards to pay the adventurers who completed the quests.
The IAA has a cross-platform application called "Questing" where all quests are listed. Only legitimate NPCs who obtained a license can give quests and every quest must be listed in the app for it to become legitimate.
Whenever someone acquired an NPC or adventurer license, they will be given an account that they can use to login in the Questing app.
Both Adventurers and NPCs can report fraud, inactive quests, and any illegal behavior within the same app. All proven wrongdoers will be handled by both the IAA and the laws governing the place they are in.
In this application, people can see and filter nearby quest locations, track the quests they have accepted or given to others, and even form a party with other people to complete the same quest, message each other, and share the rewards after completing them.
On great quests, comes great rewards. Green question marks means easy one-time tasks, Yellow question marks means daily, regular tasks, while the Red question marks means high-risk, high-reward, and high-skill tasks.
Every adventurer and quest giver carries a contract, where it is signed by both the quest giver and the quest taker. A quest is defined as a task or set of tasks to be fulfilled within a set amount of conditions and time.
In addition, the IAA has their own buildings in every major locations around the world, where they curate and show all the quests within an area to large bulletin boards, along with the information, rewards, address, time duration, and other details related to that quest.
These buildings are usually called "Town Hall", as they are often located in the middle of the most populous cities.
The main purpose of the Town Hall is to provide a converging point for all adventurers and NPCs, as a safe and progressive haven for all the participants of the Questing System.
Adventurers frequently gather and assemble in this place, for various guild meetings and events are organized in the Town Hall, and to directly report wrongdoers related to Questing activities.
It is also where guilds, a large group of adventurers, manually invite and recruit other adventurers into their guild.
The IAA partners with the Department of Labor of the government so jobs within the city can be physically posted in a separate bulletin board aside from the quests bulletin board. Jobs are a little bit different from quests, in the sense that only jobs can have more than one month duration and expiration date.
What's more, the security and enforcement council of jobs isn't regulated by the IAA, rather, it's regulated by the Department of Labor from the government.
The third bulletin board is about all the events present within the city. Any event organizers can create an event to be posted in the third bulletin board provided that they follow the rules and laws of the city.
The Town Hall is at least* 3 floors tall, and contains many facilities that caters to the adventurers. The most famous of them is the Hall of Fame, where the top adventurers and guilds who completed the most quests are listed in descending order.
Aside from the Hall of Fame, another most prominent facility in the Town Hall is the networking rooms around the second floor, where most adventurers, job hunters, and recruiters socialize with each other and make friends.
There, people can buy snacks and rent board games, but neither liquor nor cigarettes are sold within the Town Hall. It's not allowed to bring any of them either.
The third floor is a restricted area only for the employees and officials of the IAA, it is where the operations of the company are discussed and where meetings are held to ensure the continued maintenance and growth of the Questing system.
This new cultural activity shall become an important tradition that serves to eliminate poverty and unemployment by creating a decentralized community where all professionals and aspiring adventurers all over the world can converge in a single point, exponentially boosting economic growth.
With all legitimate jobs, quests, and events physically and conveniently publicized in an easily accessible place, opportunities are bound to multiply, further decreasing the gap between the rich and the poor.
This would be a difficult task that will require the cooperation of hundreds of people. It is important to start small, like an ordinary bulletin board facility strategically located within the city, then working our way from there, such as creating a website and building the IAA committee.
This may be just a part of my imagination for now, but I'm sure that something very similar to this system is an integral part of a modern functioning society anywhere in the universe.
It won't be long before it becomes reality.
"Creating and promoting cultural activities is one of the highest levels of product development and marketing."
"The modern age demands a more efficient evolution of culture."
"It is only when new cultural practices are established and stabilized, that the transition from the old to the new is finally complete."
