"2024 Tokyo E-PRIX" in the history of the Formula E series will be held

"2024 Tokyo E-PRIX" will be held in Japan on the 30th, the fifth round of season 10 of the "ABB FIA Formula E World Championship," the world's top electric vehicle racing competition organized by the FIA, where Hankook Tire & Technology serves as an exclusive supplier and official partner of electric vehicle racing tires.

The event will be the first Japanese competition in the Formula E series, and Hankook Tire's electric vehicle racing tire "iON" will lead the successful operation of the competition with the best electric vehicle racing performance in the world and imprint local motorsports fans with top-tier electric vehicle tire technology and the premium status of the global integrated brand "Hankook."

The Tokyo Street Circuit (TOKYO STREET CIRCUIT), where the game will be held, is a 2.585km long stadium that includes 20 curved sections surrounding the Tokyo International Exhibition Center, Japan's largest event venue. In order to perform well on the circuit, where three high-speed driving courses and narrow corner sections are repeated, the excellent grip, handling, and braking performance of racing tires must be consistently supported.

Hankook Tire's "Ion" was well received by tournament officials as it brought out the explosive performance of racing vehicles with a maximum speed of 320 kilometers per hour during the Formula E competition held in various climate conditions such as high mountains, deserts, and coastal areas this season. "Ion" is expected to prove its value once again by overcoming extreme driving environments based on its unique electric vehicle racing tire technology.

Nick Cassidy, a member of JAGUAR TCS RACING, which shares the Jaguar I-Type 6 powertrain as of the 5th round, ranks first in the Drivers' Championship with a total of 57 points, while PASCAL WEHRLEIN, a member of TAG HEUER FORMULA E Team, is chasing after him closely by four points to regain the lead.

In the "Team Championship category," "Jaguar TCS Racing" has maintained its No. 1 position since the beginning of the season with 96 points, and the top five teams following it are fiercely competing. In particular, attention is being paid to whether the Nissan Formula E Team (NISSAN FORMULA E Team), which shares the powertrain of the Japanese finished car brand "NISSAN", will be able to leap to the top in its home debut.
