Korea recruits FA Lee So-young and Lee Joo-ah 'completed the national-class lineup'

IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, the women's professional volleyball team, has recruited outside heater Lee So-young (29) and middle blocker Lee Ju-ah (23) from the free agent (FA) market.

IBK Industrial Bank of Korea announced today (15th) that it has signed a FA contract with outside heater Lee So-young for a three-year contract with a total annual salary of 700 million won (450 million won annually, 250 million won option) and a total annual salary of 400 million won (330 million won annually, 70 million won option) with national middle blocker Lee Ju-ah for a three-year contract period.

Lee So-young played in 26 regular league games as a member of Jeonggwanjang in the 2023-2024 season, scoring 215 points with a 37.95% attack success rate, leading Jeonggwanjang to advance to spring volleyball for the first time in seven years.

In the 2023-2024 season, Lee Joo-ah scored 214 points in Heungkuk Life's uniform, ranking fourth in blocking (0.617 per set) and fifth in fastball (47.03 percent).

Lee So-young and Lee Ju-ah, who will wear IBK Industrial Bank of Korea uniforms, said, "I am grateful to the Altos Volleyball Team for recognizing their skills and values," adding, "We will do our best to help the team achieve the championship at every moment of the upcoming season."

IBK Industrial Bank of Korea, which failed to advance to the postseason last season as fifth in the regular league, simultaneously recruited Lee So-young and Lee Ju-ah to build a lineup comparable to that of the national team in the new season with Kim Hee-jin and Choi Jung-min.
