Kim Ha-sung, the leadoff hitter in the first inning of his debut, home run...a two-game arch

Kim Ha-sung (28, San Diego Padres) showed off his improved batting sense by hitting home runs in two consecutive games.

Kim Ha-sung started as the first batter and second baseman in the 2023 Major League Baseball (MLB) home game against the Washington Nationals at Petco Park in San Diego, California, on the 24th (Korea Standard Time) and hit a solo shot over the middle in his first at-bat in the first inning.

Kim Ha-sung, who faced Washington left-hander Patrick Corbin in the bottom of the first inning when he faced 0-0, did not miss it and connected it to a home run when sinker was driven to the center for the third pitch.

It is the first time that Kim Ha-sung hit a home run as a leadoff hitter in the first inning since his big league debut in 2021.

This is his seventh home run of the season. Kim Ha-sung, who hit his sixth home run of the season in 29 days against the San Francisco Giants the previous day, operated a home run for two consecutive days.
