ACTION: Call for Stripe, WePay, and Paypal to stop servicing payments for GiveSendGo

Background Info

GiveSendGo bills itself as the "#1 Free Christian Crowdfunding Site." In fact it is a major fundraising platform for hate-based paramilitary groups like the Proud Boys.

GIVESENDGO. A PLACE TO FUND HOPE. A PLACE TO WORK TOGETHER WITH THE BODY OF CHRIST AROUND THE WORLD TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

GiveSendGo uses Stripe, WePay, and PayPal to process their payments. All three of their terms of service prohibit crowdfunding sites from encouraging, promoting, or celebrating hate crimes.1 As the Proud Boys prepare to attack Washington DC on January 6, they're funding their hate-filled, super-spreader vacations with GiveSendGo.

Direct Evidence of Proud Boys Activity on GiveSendGo

  1. This campaign features an image of a boot with a Proud Boy logo on it stomping out what appears to be a bunch of local kids and young adults with differing political opinions showing up to prevent their communities from experiencing hate crimes.

  2. The Proud Boys raising money for Alan Swiney's legal fees. On Sept 30, Swiney was arrested and charged with 11 counts of various assault and weapons charges for alleged crimes on Aug 15 and Aug 22.

  3. Philly Proud Boys raising funds for travel expenses.

  4. The Proud Boys raising funds for Jeremy Bertino, who was stabbed in self-defense during an attack on a local man for wearing dark clothing.

  5. The Proud Boys raising funds for medical assistance after they invaded DC and drunkenly assaulted passerbies for wearing dark clothing or cloth masks, as they gather at super-spreader events in a city that is 45% Black, with a Black majority among front-line workers in hospitality, food service, transportation, and healthcare. These invasions are an attack on Black life.

Arrest of Enrique Tarrio for actions on Dec 12

Yesterday, the Proud Boys' ceremonial2 chairman Enrique Tarrio was arrested for destruction of property related to the vandalism of four historically black churches. Tarrio admitted to the crimes on Parler. He was arrested with two large capacity magazines that are illegal in Washington DC but legal in many areas in the United States.

Yesterday, civil rights groups announced that they are suing the Proud Boys for destruction of the African Methodist Episcopal's Black Lives Matter sign.

  2. There is strong opposition to Tarrio's leadership simply because Tarrio is Afro-Cuban. Despite his staunch anti-communism styled after School of the Americas graduates, Tarrio cannot be accepted by the Proud Goys on ideological grounds. He's not of their race.
