Walking home over the cobblestones, my feet are sliding around inside my Docs, because I only wore one very thin pair of socks.
There’s a shooting pain up my lower left back from being bent over the bed at a 75 degree angle. The bedsheets were day-one-of-your-period pink, and the LED light was mouthwash mint green. I don’t think the colours are what caused the back pain, but I just wanted you to know that they were pretty.
I don’t have a rain jacket right now so I’m wearing a fancy winter coat and a hood that is very not waterproof. Under all these soft cosy layers, I’m a sweaty mess cause I haven’t showered yet. So I know when I go home and take off my clothes I’ll be feeling soggy and sticky and icky but right now it feels good to be dry, although being wet can be fun too.
My Polentoni sandwich doesn’t fit in my Uniqlo bag because my borrowed tupperware with leftover pasta and pecorino is already in there.
So my fingers are slick with oil through the paper containing this eggy bread-y delight that I’m clutching under my arm like a bag after a big night out on my walk home over the cobblestones, with my feet sliding around inside my Docs from my one very thin pair of socks, with my shooting back pain and my soft soggy clothes, and my soaking wet Uniqlo bag and tupperware with my leftover pasta and pecorino.
I get home and whap out the frozen peas for my back.
