Without even knowing it, my life has become a passing blur.
My unemployed dropout days are characterized by house chores, media consumption, and naps.
My dreams.. seems so far away.
Just like stars in the sky.
How will the prophecy unfold?
Try your hardest, only a ripple
When a writer lives in their words
No ripples for ten thousand years
Suddenly reality is rewritten
A book's weight shakes the world
Like an artist gliding on canvas
Mere treasures of imagination
Drawing everywhere, earning nowhere
Painting oneself, spilling the world
The world's ladder needs rest,
Or it will often kiss the ground
Go on, build your own ladder
Give it a name, a worthy one
Make it fall in love, and kiss your dreams
Let it contract, extend, on its own
Allow it to, follow the wind, and fly
Listen to the birds, they know the way
And the moon shall come alive...
Holding the secrets of the breeze
Release your world to the skies
Offer your stars to the night!
What is this? I intended to write an article. Not whatever abomination this is. I'm not some sort of disney character who would randomly sing dreamy sheep out of nowhere everytime I'm in terrible situations.
Basically, this poem says to calm down, don't think about the future too much, don't try too hard, do what you want, and do what you can. When your world is ready, you can release them, and the universe will find a way to arrange stuff for you. You're not alone. It's not only you that has dreams. Just like you dream of reaching the stars, the stars dream of reaching you. The prophecy will be fulfilled, one way or another.
That's.. a more detailed interpretation than I thought. You didn't add your extra opinions in there, did you? Thinking that everything would be okay somehow, without sacrificing anything, isn't that just laziness?
If you try your hardest doing the things you don't want, you'll get exhausted and depressed quickly. Value your strengths, trust the universe that brought you to this world. You are here because you have a place in it. No amount of humans or society can take what the universe itself has given you. You don't need to fit in. It is precisely because you fit in that you are born in this world. Everyone is given their own chair. Yours simply happen to be a throne. Treat it like any other chair. Even if everyone else thinks otherwise.
