Game mechanics I've taken note of.
Mechanics regarding pleasure.
Everyone is free to seek and enjoy pleasure.
All forms of immediate pleasure has limits.
Because there is a limit, there is always a cliffhanger — one can never be satisfied.
Gratitude reduces cliffhanger and enhances enjoyment of pleasure.
Either one reaches the limit of pleasure or gets interrupted by environmental or social forces to live their life.
Pleasure is made to appreciate the beauty of life and reward people for their continued existence.
Highest level of pleasure only comes from the process of striving for meaning and truth.
This kind of pleasure is called "satisfaction", a subconscious form of pleasure we experience not by our body, but deep within our soul.
Mechanics regarding pain.
Those who want to gain something must be willing to transform something.
Transformation from potential to kinetic, mental to spiritual, requires time and effort.
Effort always involves pain, either psychological, physical, or both.
Psychological pain comes from disappointed expectations and longing.
Physical pain often comes from environmental influences outside of our control.
Life only gives us pain that is necessary and bearable, otherwise we'll pass out or die.
Pain is made to stimulate learning and growth.
A person with low learning capacity or desire for growth will also have low pain tolerance, making them unable to learn from pain once their pain threshold crosses a certain level.
Mechanics regarding survival.
While humans may not be born without their consent, their continued survival is of their own choosing.
A person who truly wants to survive will not only live their full lifespan, but will do everything for their personality, values, and ideals to survive as well.
Survival ability is closely linked to a person's material and spiritual achievement.
Those who enjoy pleasure and avoid pain often have higher survival abilities.
Other mechanics.
Personality cannot be completely determined through environment and genetics alone.
Regardless of genetics and environment, a person is responsible for their own personality, as they unconsciously chose their growth.
