The Greatest Advantage

While I was reading a webtoon, I've come across a legendary quote, one that sounds something like "no amount of wealth or authority can defeat someone with too much time on their hands".

And from there I have been enlightened. I learned that the greatest advantage I have in life is the vast amount of free time I have on my hands. With this amount of time, there are so many things I can do. I can learn a skill, master a craft, write a book, create a story, or even start a business.

The activities are limitless, only the imagination is the limit.

However, trying to put this free time to use and turn it into something grand and life-changing requires the greatest amount of patience.

2 Ways to Live

There are two ways to live our lives: to spend each second as if it were the last, knowing fully that the past is irreversible. Or to live our lives as if we have all the time in the world, as if there's always tomorrow and everything's going to be fine.

I have tried the first method countless times, but I have always failed. I have always wanted to make every second of my life meaningful and exciting, but there's just no way it's going to happen.

Because I am weak; I have spent most of my life running away, hiding, and being frozen in fear. I simply cannot live my life as if this day is the last, I don't want to live my life as if there's no tomorrow. I don't want to live the rest of my "tomorrows" in fear and despair either.

As much as awesome and cool it would be to fully live every second of my life as if it were the last, I do not want to live that kind of life. I don't want to live a righteous life, where everything I do has to be "right" and "best", I don't want to make the perfect decisions.

Timeless Decision

I want to live my life as if I have all the time in the world, where I can think and overthink as much as I want before making a decision.

Get me a life where I can make as much mistakes and failures I want without anything holding me back, not the kind of life where I have to be successful and "right" all the time.

I fully understand that my life may end at any moment in time, that I should make the most out of it, so I can live without any regrets. However, I think I'll regret it more if I live my life as if I'm always in a hurry for something.

I haven't lived a half of my lifespan yet, so I still have time. In fact, there's so much time that I shouldn't worry about running out of time any moment soon. I can contemplate and think as much as I want and there's still be plenty of time left for me to reach my dreams.

Time for Everything

Yes, that's right. I have time for everything. I have time to be weak, scared, and stupid. I also have time to be strong, confident, and resolute. I have time to write the most cringe of articles, and I also have time to write an entire book about life skills.

I have time to read every business book in existence, as well as the time to read every webtoon ever made. I have time to learn every profitable skill in the market, as well as the time to learn every esoteric philosophy in existence.

Above all, I have time to think, rest, and act.

I Have Time

I may not have a job, school, or real-friends, but guess what? I have time. And that gives me the greatest leverage above anything else.

If I just learn how to use my time properly, I might as well be the most powerful person in the world.

I can finally understand why they say "patience is the key". It's the key that will allow someone to concentrate cumulative amount of efforts over time into one single point, giving them the power to accomplish everything they want to do.

Think as if you have all the time in the universe, and you'll find the answers to all your problems. Write as if you have all the time in the world, and you'll make the greatest book ever made. Draw as if you have all the time in the world, and you'll create a great masterpiece of art.

This is the power of time. It gives unfathomable strength to those who do not hurry. From trees to skyscrapers, novels to anime, everything is made possible with enough time.

It only makes sense that those with the highest amount of patience are also the most accomplished and successful people in the world.

From now on, I'm going to maximize my use of time and become patient enough to concentrate all my efforts into one single objective — to live a fulfilling day, every day towards my dreams.

"Life isn't about being successful as much as possible, but more about making as much mistakes as possible, and enjoying it."
