Seeing

Yet another short article about awareness.

There are three types of seeing, seeing through, seeing all, and seeing within. This can be called as Penetrative Awareness, Expansive Awareness, and Inner Awareness.

Seeing through is when you see the most likely direct consequences of actions until the very end. This is often characterized by linear cause and effect. For example, you're studying for exams to get high grades, then when you get high grades you graduate, then when you graduate you work as a fast food service crew, then in the end, you die and everything you have worked hard for would disappear.

As you can see, those with Penetrative Awareness are always aware of their impending death and regardless how much they celebrate or despair, they will die in the end. This is called the Final Ending. Maybe they believe in good afterlife, this is called Perfect Ending. This type of awareness is especially helpful to make a person know that regardless how difficult life is, they can always recover, and regardless how great their life is, everything can end in an instant.

Seeing all is when one can see the infinite possibilities of actions and inactions, allowing them to make more creative choices than those choices that are given to them. This Expansive Awareness makes people feel creative and free, where they see life as full of novel things to explore and discover. Likewise, those with Expansive Awareness never lose sight of the big picture, as they're able to see beyond their current situation and environment.

For those with type of awareness, they do not believe in the impossible, knowing that anything can happen. They're very open to life and willing to explore different activities, places, and ideas. Even if they seem stuck in a single place or situation, their minds are so completely free that they're able to create or find something new in the most unexpected and dull places. This awareness will help one learn new things and understand the vastness of this world.

Seeing within is when one is completely aware of their thoughts, feelings, and sensations without rejecting, denying, or identifying with them. It is when one freely explores their inner world without judging anything using external standards. This is characterized by complete acceptance and self-forgiveness, so those who can see within tend to have a strong mentality and rich inner life.

This Inner Awareness may seem like the most underwhelming compared to other types of awareness but without it, one will have a difficult time benefitting from their penetrative and expansive awareness, making them feel overwhelmed. This awareness gives one the ability to see their worth as a human being, regardless of all their imperfections. Those with this type of awareness know what's important for them, so they're always aware of what they want and what they need to do. After all, it is only those who see themselves can truly see the world for what it is.
