Vision of a Colorful Desert

While I was taking a shit, I just had an interesting vision. I was in the middle of the desert, and the desert was very colorful. Each grain of sand seems to have a color. I looked back and saw a colorful mountain of sand behind me. When I looked up, I saw a ceaseless rain of colorful sand raining over the mountain, so the grains of sand pile up and fall naturally. Whenever I look at the rain of colorful sand, I feel mesmerized. Most of the time it shows nothing, but sometimes it forms really beautiful and interesting images as it falls, perhaps due to the coincidental arrangements of colorful grains of sand. But when the image falls on the mountain, it immediately disintegrates and becomes part of the mountain, then as the grains fall from the mountain, they become part of the desert, carried away by the winds.

Some images that form in the rain are so beautiful beyond what words can describe, that many people try to catch the image and collect the individual grains of sand that formed the image. Some people even fight over those grains of sand. Those who try to catch the images climb the mountain of sand, but the raining of sand obscures their senses and makes them confused, that many of them trip and become buried in the mountain of sand. The colorful desert seems so vast and endless, but most of it is empty except the mountain of sand and the rain in the center. Therefore, most people stay around the middle just to watch the ceaseless and colorful rain above the mountain of sand. Even if you wander far away from the center, you can still see the mountain and the rain from afar but it won't be as mesmerizing as those who look at it from up close.

I wonder, what is the source of all this rain? If I manage to reach above the clouds, will I finally see the source of all these images? Will I be able to see the source of all beauty? What if the rain eventually stops? What will happen? Will the entire desert flip upside down and start all over again? We... we're made of these same colorful sands aren't we? Maybe it's the mountain of sand that gave birth to us... And just like the rain, we'll eventually fall and return to the desert.

I... I want to drink every drop of rain, and eat every piece of cloud that makes these sand rains. I want to reach not only the pinnacle of the mountain, but the pinnacle of the clouds so I can have all the wonderful images for myself. Oh how great would it be!

What a wonderful vision, I started with the thought of living on the bottom of an hourglass, and arrived at such wonderful scenery. I wonder what we should do here, we'll end up just walking around somewhere and watching the rain from time to time. The desert is so full of grains of sand, yet it is also so empty. The desert is so vast but no matter where you go, the only thing you can find is vastness itself.

The Beast

The beast is scratching the walls and banging the door again. I have no idea what to do with this guy. It has gotten a little bigger since someone else fed it. But now that it has suddenly stopped eating, it's now losing its mind. If I feed it, it would calm down a little and get a little bigger. When it gets bigger, it would require more and more food. Their food is expensive and really difficult to find though. And if it gets big enough, it would easily break the cage the moment it gets hungry again. However, if I don't feed it, it would keep scratching on the walls and banging the door. How troublesome.

I know. I could turn back time so I can let it feed endlessly. I could activate teleportation and invisibility to easily find food for it. But the moment I do that, I won't be able to play as a human again. I won't be able to gain anymore human points. All my points would be wasted and not recorded. That would be tragic.

I could activate my omniscience and learn how to handle this beast and where to get food. But if I do that, I would also get spoiled about the ending of the story, I would also be spoiled by the plot twists that I have yet to experience. Everything would become so boring and useless. They're not an option. This is just a simple problem, there's no need to solve it by creating an even bigger problem.

Or... I could just simply let the beast outside, let it roam and find food on its own. I cannot even begin to fathom what kind of disaster it would unleash. Plus I can't be sure that it won't eat me the moment it gets out. That's the most terrible idea ever. Maybe someday I'll take it for a walk from time to time but now is not the time.

Sigh, I'll just sleep, meditate, or something. I already tried fishing for the past few days and got some food for the beast. It should be enough for now. Endure starving for now, I promise to get you a lot of food later when I get rich. Feel free to scratch the walls and bang the door as much as you want, that's the least I can give you. It's gonna be alright. When I finish this playthrough and get as many human points as I can, I promise I'll restart this again but this time you won't ever be confined. I'll use my superpowers too so you'll be able to eat everything you want!!

It's raining... I'll just watch the rain for now.
