Conversation with Ren

A nice woman sat beside me and asked me to send a message to the phone. She told me that I seem so invested and serious on my phone lol. After that, she introduced herself and extended her hand, then initiated a meaningful conversation.

A moment of Serendipity ensues.

Here's how the conversation went:

She revealed her situation on why she needs to text my phone saying how she doesn't have money and is waiting for some friend to arrive and give her money. She has been waiting for more than 3 hours already and her friend still won't come.

At first glance, this person looks like a boy, with extremely short hair and rigid movements. But I was like "wait why does his voice sounds feminine?" Turns out she's a girl after all.

She said she's just going to fly to reach the place if her friend doesn't come lol. She revealed herself to be the youngest sibling who loves and enjoys work because her family is her sole reason for existence, and that she has been working as an Encoder for so many years now.

Hmm at first, she seems like a typical isxj, but you can see that she's very comfortable talking about herself and doesn't feel anxious at all, it's almost like she's an extrovert.

(Wtf did I just see a bird float mid-air for two seconds, flapping it wings really fast?)

However I don't see any signs of stress or worry in her eyes or movements, which would characterized an overworking introvert. What the duck? I'm pretty sure this person is enlightened or almost close to it. Her eyes aren't that of a normie either. Just who the hell is this woman? And what is she hiding?

She seemed really sad and troubled about her situation, and remembering the lesson about generosity from "Never Eat Alone", I gave her my remaining coins in my wallet for her transportation fee. She said she'll repay it if she ever saw me again.

Meh, I don't really care about money. It's just to make sure that we'll see each other again and I have someone to talk with. She's pretty good though, she managed to draw enough empathy from me to get what she wants. Her interpersonal and negotiation skills are outstanding, so she earned it.

So she continued ranting about why she's already waiting for so long when that person won't even come. Her tone of voice is engaging and her laughs are interesting, so I engaged in active listening, mirroring her words and labeling her emotions.

Before she noticed it, she started spilling her entire life and told me about her problems. She even gave me advice and life lesson on the importance of family and why friends are awful and they're just there to take advantage of you, so focus on work for the sake of the family, and reject love life.

It looks like she's an extremely kind person, in fact, too kind that all her friends takes advantage of her, she willingly works for her family for the rest of her life without caring about her own, and that she's waiting for her colleague for more than three hours, hoping that he would come.

She said her work as an Encoder involves typing our large piles or paper into documents every single day, and that she works even when at home and not at office. Even her co-workers are saying that it's already breaktime and that she should eat and stop working.

I mirrored and labeled them all, then she asked for my age. Surprisingly, she complimented me as "very mature" for my age. My mind stopped working for a moment and I probably turned red from my awkwardness. Good thing my face mask is there to protect me.

I noticed that my hands are shaking and that I'm avoiding eye contact with her. It seems that my anxiety levels are increasing, my mind is withdrawing from the present moment until I feel like I have nothing to say.

(Holy duck, someone beside me is unboxing and testing a drone. So coooll!! It's always mesmerizing to see it float in mid-air, defying gravity.)

I asked her some more questions and she happily answered it, repeating the same themes of "working" and "family". Gosh, I can hardly imagine how devoid of happiness and freedom that kind of life is, but of course I didn't judge. She seems happy and proud of it.

After that she made some jokes and laughed at it, even hitting my shoulder many times. I didn't hear the joke properly and had no reaction, so she felt awkward and stuttered, if I'm not wrong she even said sorry for that.

I have no idea what's happening at that moment. Since when did we get so close? Why is she so comfortable? This situation is beyond my comprehension and comfort zone. If I speak any more than this, I'll have to tell more about myself and make the conversation deeper.

So I became so anxious and tried to suppress everything I'm thinking and feeling.

"I disagree. I disagree! You have your own life too, and you don't live just for the sake of your family! You deserve to be happy and have your own life like everyone else!" is what I want to say, but that would be too cringe. I can't afford to get more emotional or deeper than this.

Anyway we both fell into awkward silence and stopped talking haha. We have already and fully revealed all our superficial and inauthentic selves, any more talking and we have no choice but to reveal our imperfect, cringe, and authentic selves.

We can't let that happen, can we?

Analysis

She seems too childish for her age, or maybe she's actually a cold overworking person who just got comfortable enough to show her true self. That was my first meaningful conversation with a woman, I can't believe it. I wonder if she'll come tomorrow again? Nah, there's no need, it's not like I got attached anyway.

Geez. My aura is unstable, my focus is out, and it looks like this would continue for the rest of the day. What the hell is happening to me? I feel an extreme urge to smile and be happy, what an annoying feeling. I'm having an urge to clean myself and shave my beard as well, how weird. I'll just have to calm down and focus on my tasks for today.

Hmm maybe I should have taken a picture with that person, since I plan to take pictures with people who talked to me. That would be a great accomplishment for a hardcore introvert like me.

It makes me feel a little guilty that Ren basically told me about her entire life to me, yet I only revealed so little about mine. I feel like an annoying ENTJ now, with the "give an inch, take a mile" mentality.

But what the hell am I supposed to say about myself? Tell them that I don't have a job and I'm completely broke? Tell them that I'm actually a self-taught psychologist and self-improvement writer? Tell them that I plan to turn this world upside down and become an elected World King?

No matter what I say about myself, everyone would be a little shocked... but then if I were to say nothing, I'll feel unsatisfied and people would do or say things that would make me annoyed. So what do I do?

I guess I don't have any choice but to say it. If it breaks, then there's no point in continuing anyway. If they leave, it's their loss. That's what I should think. I'll use Zetsu or Aura Immersion to deal with my anxiety and live my life.

Overall that was a great conversation, there were a lot of laughs, smiles, and questions. Even when I didn't say a lot of things about myself nor heard everything she said, it's still awesome.

"Oh look at that, another article of cringe. Nothing to see here."

"Listen, and the world will tell everything you need."

"To show true yourself and speak up your mind, is the greatest form of respect one can ever give."
