Baseball player Im Chan-kyu of the LG Twins has been hospitalized.


On the 14th, Im posted on his Instagram story, "First vocal cord nodule in a baseball player. Two weeks of silence. I will come out with good treatment." He posted a photo with the caption, "I will come out.


In the photo, Lim's forearm was covered with a patient bracelet with his date of birth and name.

Im had previously revealed his vocal cord polyps on LG Twins' official YouTube channel, comparing it to a singer's sore shoulder.


Vocal polyps are hard bumps the size of small acorns that form on the vocal cords and are known to occur in people who work with their throats a lot, such as singers, announcers, and teachers.


However, many baseball fans were surprised to learn that Im had vocal nodules on top of his vocal polyps, as he is a pitcher who rarely puts his throat to the test.


Born in 1992, Im is a starting pitcher for the LG Twins, and last year he admitted to being in a relationship with golfer Son Sae-eun, the younger brother of former APINK actress Son Na-eun.


Im is on the free agent market, and many fans are eagerly awaiting news of his signing.
