No. 2 Soto – No. 3 Judge’ New York Y has finished planning the strongest batting order
The New York Yankees, who recently succeeded in reinforcing their batting lineup by recruiting Juan Soto (26) through a trade, appear to have completed reorganizing their batting lineup.
On the 22nd (Korean time), NJ.com, a local media outlet in New York, reported New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone's opinion on the batting order for the 2024 season.
According to this, Manager Boone confirmed Soto as the number 2 hitter. The top batting order consists of DJ LeMahieu (36), Soto, and Aaron Judge (32).
LeMahieu's leadoff sortie is relatively easy to predict. The only remaining question was which batter between Soto and Judge would be placed at number two.
In response to this, Manager Boone designed a batting order of 1-2-3: right-handed batter, left-handed batter, and right-handed batter. In addition, Gleyber Torres and Alex Verdugo are available for leadoff roles.
Previously, Soto played 39 games in No. 2 and 112 games in No. 3 with the San Diego Padres last year. Judge No. 2, 102 games, No. 3, 2 games.
Accordingly, the New York Yankees' top batting order, which was expected to consist of No. 2 Judge and No. 3 Soto, was virtually confirmed to be No. 2 Soto and No. 3 Judge.
Meanwhile, the New York Yankees recently offered Blake Snell a 5-year, $150 million contract, but after being rejected, they succeeded in reinforcing their pitching staff by signing Marcus Stroman.
