That same question

What is freedom? I have no doubt that this same question will be asked and answered ten thousand times within my articles.

The freedom that cannot be taken away, internal freedom. It is the reality of I AM, the freedom beyond identity, time, existence, and space. This includes the freedom to be conscious, to perceive, think, imagine, feel, and believe.

The freedom that we desire to have, external freedom. It is the freedom to sense and interact with the world, to connect with nature, to become part of the universe. This includes the freedom to sense, the freedom explore the world and interact with everything on it.

As a silent passive introvert for two decades, I seem to have become a little desperate for external freedom. I don't merely want to see the beauty of nature, I want to touch and feel it with my hands. I don't want to just see the future of this world unfold in front of me, I want to take part in the unfolding too.

But why, why can't I seem to do such simple thing that I was literally born to do? Is it because I don't have any money? Is it because I don't have any friends or followers? No, it is because I fail to recognize, appreciate, and utilize the internal freedom I have.

A Free Being

It is only those who are free can freely to change the world. Internal freedom is necessary to experience external freedom, for it is the container, the stage in which the external freedom can take place and flourish. It is because I fail to see myself as a free person that I cannot act as a free being. I fail to believe that I am free, I fail to realize that being important, perfect, and good has absolutely nothing to do with the supreme truth that I am free.

Am I a free being? Yes, that is the truth. No, deep inside, I do not believe it. The little voice in my mind protests, if I am truly free, then why, why, WHY?! Why am I treated like a slave ever since I was born? Why am I forced to do things against my will? Why do I often get controlled by my own emotions? I really want to believe that I am free but all evidence, everyone says that I am not. What am I supposed to ducking do? No, I cannot cry, I shouldn't cry, people told me that I am not allowed to do so.

An Imperfect Being

Yet despite all that, I still cried and still crying. If I cried uncontrollably, then does that mean I am not free because I was unable to control it? No, it only means I am imperfect. Being imperfect doesn't mean that you are not free. It simply means that we are free to be imperfect as much as we want.

They say that bad people shouldn't be free and they're not allowed to use their freedom. But I am also a bad person, I have done a lot of bad things, I think a lot of bad things. Therefore, I cannot, I must not be free. So I-, I of course, stopped using my freedom. Because I, don't want, to hurt, anyone, I turned myself in, in an imaginary jail, for so many years.

I am so, sorry, because after spending so many years in this jail, I- I'm still a bad person but I desire for freedom. It's so bad for me to desire freedom despite being a bad person. I am so sorry. I am sorry. I am so sorry. I am sorry. I am so sorry. I am sorry. I am so sorry. I am sorry. I am so sorry. I am sorry. I am so sorry. I am sorry. I apologize... I know a bad person like me, simply doesn't deserve freedom. I don't know, how to atone for my sins. My voice can hurt people. My hands are curious that it often breaks things. Why should I be free? It is so selfish of me to desire freedom. I'm sorry.

Born to be Free

There, there, it's alright, my child. There's nothing wrong with desiring freedom. I don't think you're a bad person either. If you think that way, what does that make the rest of the world? If you're a bad person, then everyone else would be worse than demons. It's okay, it's okay, you can get out of that prison. You can explore the world. It doesn't matter if you break ten thousand things or hurt ten thousand other people, you still deserve to be free, you are born to be free.

It's not mere selfishness, it's human nature. No amount of social pressure and influence cannot take away your freedom. Every person is born to be free, they're free to be imperfect, they're free to experience the consequences of their decisions. There's no need to apologize anymore. There's no reason to isolate yourself any longer. Take your freedom and enjoy it, for it is the gift of the heavens.

Everyone is free to say whatever to want and tell you whatever you want. You are also free to follow them or ignore what they say. Remember that your freedom is always above good or bad, right or wrong, perfect or imperfect, important or unimportant. Whenever you want to do something to other free beings, you need their permission. But if you want to do something to the natural world, the only permission you need to get is yourself.

When you're about to die, don't tell yourself "I have lived a perfect life" or "I have lived a good life". What you really want to say is "I have lived a life of freedom."
