Glassnow is pushed back on its return
Tyler Glasnow, 31, who recently left the team due to an elbow injury, is expected to return later than expected. This is bad news for the Los Angeles Dodgers, which has to maintain its top spot in the district.
The LA Times, a local media outlet in Los Angeles, said on the 22nd (Korean time) that Glasnow's return would be later than expected at the time of the injury.
Initially, it was predicted that Glasnow would return immediately after completing the injured list. He judged that the severity of his injury was not significant.
However, Glasnow's condition has not been as good as expected, and the timing of his return has been pushed back. It has become virtually difficult to return within this month.
Glasnow was previously placed on the injured list in July due to back pain. This is the second time he has been on the injured list this season alone.
In the first half of the season, he seemed to be getting rid of the stigma of being a glass body that represents the Major League. However, after breaking his own season's most innings, he seems to be suffering from injury.
Glasnow pitched 134 innings in 22 games of the season before his injury, going 9-6 with a 3.49 ERA. He had 168 strikeouts.
He seemed to be escaping from free rein by leading the mound of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the first half of the year. However, if this continues, he may have to seek to return to the postseason after shutting him out for the season.
