Vegan bacon
Ingredients
- 220g yuba or scraped, brown banana skins
- 120g soya sauce
- 15g nutritional yeast
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
- ½ tsp liquid smoke
Method
- For yuba, stack 2-3 layers thick, cut into strips 1 inch wide.
- Combine other ingredients in shallow dish, add yuba/banana skin strips, mix well, marinate minimum 30 minutes.
- Fry both sides until crispy.
Stores 3-4 days in fridge, 6 months in freezer.
