Isle of Capri Casino Unveils Millions of Dollars Slot Improvement Plan

Isle of Capri Casino, Inc. announced a multimillion-dollar slot improvement plan on June 13 to focus on the company's same-store growth.

The $35 million project will upgrade Ireland's slot products for most of its 13 casinos in fiscal 2002. The company expects to continue to buy cutting-edge slot technology in the coming years to boost internal growth.

"The slot industry has moved towards producing a much more interactive product, and our plans will enable us to deliver the latest games," said Bernard Goldstein, chairman and CEO.

Isle of Capri Casino Inc. owns and operates 14 river boats, docks, and land casinos in 13 locations, including Biloxi, Vicksburg, Mississippi, Tunica, Lula, and Nudes. It also operates Boshier City and Lake Charles, Louisiana, Black Hawk, Colorado, Bettendorf, Iowa, Davenport and Marketquet, Kansas City, Missouri, and Las Vegas, Nevada. The Company also operates Pompano Park harness racing tracks in Pompano Beach, Florida.
