Even the heat wave can't stop the baseball fever

Hanwha has broken the record of selling out the most home games in a KBO League season.

Hanwha sold out its 37th home game (12,000 seats) this season in a match against KIA held at Hanwha Life Eagles Park in Daejeon on Sunday. The sold-out event took place at 5:19 p.m. ET. This is a new record that exceeds the 36th sold-out event set by Samsung in 1995.

In this season, 37 out of 53 home games were sold out, recording a sales rate of 69.8 percent. A total of 598,943 people visited Hanwha Life Eagles Park in 53 games, and the average attendance was 11,301. The team is also aiming to break the record of the largest number of spectators (734,110 people, average 11,196) recorded in 2018.

Hanwha also set a new record for consecutive home games sold out in the KBO League. It set a new record for 17 consecutive home games sold out from the final game of the season against Lotte on Oct. 16 to the game against SSG on May 1. This is also a new record that exceeds Samsung's 12th consecutive game in 1995.

Hanwha said, "We will hold a fan thank-you event against Kiwoom on the 10th to commemorate the record of the most sold-out in a season in the KBO League."
