D75 Digipeater Settings

Last edit - 31JAN2025

Temp Digi

These setting are for using the D75 radio as a temp digi and only responding (digipeating) to a path of TEMP1-1. This is used when wanting to create a temp network good for local events or disasters. More often than not this setup would be used on a frequency other than 144.390. See http://www.aprs.org/APRS-day-out.html Note: This configuration can be left at all times and the radio will only respond (digipeat) if someone is running TEMP1-1 as their path. The vast majority of operators run WIDE1-1 or WIDE1-1,WIDE2-1 on their radios.

- 500 Remove SSID from call*
- 580 Digipeat Mycall = On
- 581 UICHECK = 15
- 582 UIDIGIPEAT =Off
- 583 UIDIGI Aliases = WIDE1-1
- 584 UIFLOOD = Off
- 585 UIFLOOD Alias = TN
- 586 UIFLOODSubstitution = ID
- 587 UITRACE = On
- 588 UITRACE Alias = TEMP

*Removal isn't absolutely necessary but it is vital that the SSID be different from any other radio that uses your call sign. Otherwise, your own call will NOT be digipeated. I prefer to remove the SSID.

Fill In Digi

To setup a temp digipeater for use as a normal fill in digi, use the same settings as above except for menu item 582. This should only be turned on when you want the radio to work as a fill in digi and turn off 582 when the digi is no longer needed. This method is usually ran on 144.390

Same settings as above except:
- 582 UIDIGIPEAT = On
