Chapter one

Jacob ocean

I woke up at 6 a.m. I was going to school at 7 a.m. so I yelled. “I'm going to school.” My dad said “It's 6 a.m”. “Well I'm going early”. “Okay but I have a present for you!” “okay I'll wait”. My dad Stomps downstairs. My dad was brown haired, and had green eyes. He looked like a hunter crossed with a football coach. “Okay” he says “come outside”. I walk outside and see a red Volvo! I scream! He plugs his ears. I run up to the car, and say to my dad ” you bought me a red Volvo?” “Yes.” he says. “I wanted you to drive in a car that you would love.” I scream again with an even louder voice. I get inside. And say to my dad, “By!” At the school there were the school secretaries, and 40 kids. I asked them where to get my schedule and how to get my locker number. They said “right here, what's your name.” “My name is Eliza Johnson.” The secretary says “your locker is 443.” “Thank you” I say as I walk down the hall. I see lockers but these lockers have the number 67,68,69. Maybe mine was up stairs. I turn and start walking up the stairs but then I trip halfway. Then I fall all the way back down. “Ow.” I say I hear running and I turn and here comes a blonde haired blue eyed boy. “Are you okay? It sounded like you made it pretty hard fall down the stairs” He says. “Yeah I'm okay.” He holds out his hand for me to grab. Once I start to stand up our hands start giving off steam. Both of us let go immediately. He looks at me with a weird glance, then gasps as he looks at me again. He bows. “What are you doing?” I ask. “I am bowing to the princess Emberleigh Burn. I did not recognize you.” “I think you have me confused with someone else.” I say walking away. He looks at me with a weird glance, then he says, “I think I do have you confused with someone else.” He catches up with me. when we get to the top of the stairs He whispers “you can tell me I won't tell anybody.” I look at him with a puzzled face. “your parents haven’t told you who you are? He asks. “Shure they have, I’m Eliza.” “Fine.” he says “If they have not told you yet you can ask your parents about the elements they'll tell you everything you need to know.” I catch up with him as he walks faster. “Ok strange boy two things: one I have no idea what you're talking about and two it's just my dad”. “Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to-I-I mean I did not know. He says”. “Of course you did not know that. You just met me. No it's okay I'm kind of used to it. She died when I was three, so got a lot of years without her. After she died we moved here. To Navada.” I say. “I'm really sorry.” He says again. I look at him and say, “How about this? You come over to my house this afternoon and you can tell me all about what you're raging about''. “Deal,” he says. “Meet me in the parking lot after school by a red Volvo.” “Oh so you're the one who has the red Volvo.” He says. “yeah you got a problem with that?” I say looking at him. “no no, no no. Just that everybody's talking about how that's a really expensive car and you got it.” he says. “See you in the parking lot after school strange boy.” I reply. “Okay.” he replies. The periods went by so fast. The bell rang and I was already out, there except he was out there first waiting by my red Volvo. “Sweet ride!” he says. “Just get in!” I say Annoyed. We drove off towards my house. “oh I don't know your name, what's your name.” I say. He smiles. “I'm Jacob ocean.” I laugh, “what kind of name is Jacob ocean.” “It flows in the family.” he says. I laughed so hard. “What's your name?” he says. “I already have told you I’m Eliza Johnson.” “Right, nice name he says”. “Thanks.” I say. There are two things I now know, One, I am not an ordinary teenager and, Two, my life was about to change.




Chapter two

Meeting my family

We got to my house and I saw my dad sitting on the couch watching tv. We went in and my dad said “who is this?” My dad stood up and greeted Jacob. Jacob says loudly “I'm Jacob Ocean.” My dad replied proudly “I am Charlie Johnson” he smiled and said “so are you Eliza's partner in some class? Because Eliza sucks at almost everything.” I slap my head in frustration. “No dad.” I say “He's just a friend”. “Eliza?” My dad called after me. “Yes dad?” I say annoyingly. “Come here.” I turn to Jacob. “Why don't you go up to my room and wait for me.” I say to Jacob. He walked up to my room and shut the door. “What dad?” I wined. “I like him, he is cool. Keep him around.” my dad said. “You have known him for 3 seconds and you like him? You know-whatever.” I walked up to my room and I opened the door. My room has a king size bed with blue blankets. My walls were Deep Blue. “Nice blue room.” he says sitting on my bed waiting for me. “Do you like the color blue?” he asked. “I love blue.” I say. He says, “I would have thought you loved red more”. “why would you think that?” I say. “No reason.” he says. “Okay what were you rambling on about at school.” Right as Jacob opened his mouth my dad burst through the door “Here guys I brought you some snacks”. “DAD GET OUT!” I yell with an angry face. “Just bring you some snacks Eliza cool it. “You're not Her boyfriend right?” “DAD!!! GET OUT!!!!” I yell. My dad shuts the door. “Sorry about that “I say to Jacob. “My dad's overprotective”. “I heard that!” my dad said through the door. “DAD SHUT IT!!” I yell. “Okay” Jacob continues, “your mother was the queen of Fire.” “HaHa…….very funny” I say to Jacob. “I'm telling the truth,” Jacob says. “Yeah like I would be some princess fire girl.” “You are some princess Firegirl” he says angrily mimicking me. “I don't believe you. I think you've gone nuts.” “Fine if you don't believe me deal with your powers on your own”. “I don't have powers.” I say to Jacob as I laugh. “wrong again,” Jacob says, “At this age you usually get your powers, and you get to deal with them all on your own.” “You're wrong Jacob because my mother was a pilot”. “Your dad lied to you, she's not a pilot, you just don't pay attention. You're 18 right. He's been lying to you for 18 years.” “My dad would never lie. Our first rule is not to lie to each other. Wait, how did you know I was 18?” “well the legend of the missing heir, says “she was sent away at 1 year old.” And also your dad broke that rule, about lying.” “Okay you know what Jacob?......Get out of my house. you've gone crazy.” “Fine then deal with your powers on your own. I'm not helping you.” He walks out the door as I open it. I watched him walk down the hall down the stairs and out the door. Before Jacob exits the house door, my dad says Jacob, “Do you want me to drive you home?” “No thanks mr. Johnson I can walk myself home.” “Call me Charlie” he says to Jacob. “Okay,” Jacob says “Goodbye Charlie, goodbye Eliza he said angrily at me.” “He's nice.” my dad says. “I'm going to bed Dad. See you tomorrow.” When I get in my bed I look at the ceiling and I start thinking about what Jacob said. Could it be true, could my mother really be a queen of Fire? Was Jacob right all along? Has my father been lying to me all this time? Was I rude to someone that was trying to help me? I started thinking as I fell asleep.

When I woke up in the morning I went and got dressed in a red shirt and jeans. I left my hair down, but brushed it. I grabbed my backpack and my keys and left. Since I wasn't early this time everybody was staring at me as I drove up and parked at the school parking lot. “Nice car” a lot of people said, other people whistled. I glared at them. They replied with a “Ohh.” taunting me. I ignored them. When I reached my locker I saw Jacob walking down the hall. He ignored me. I wanted to go up to him and tell him I was sorry for yelling at him. He would walk away. I still thought he was crazy, but I Wanted to apologize for yelling. There was a boy that had brown hair, green eyes, and looked like a Jock that was only good at football. He also had 4 other boys behind him. Probably his buddys. He came up to me and said “Nice car. You're a pretty girl. Want to go for coffee sometime.” “No thanks” I say dully. “She's feisty,” he says. “Go away please.” I say dully. “Come on, one coffee,” one of the boys says. “No I would never go out for coffee with you numbskulls.” “She is feisty,” another boy says. “I would never go anywhere with you guys. You guys are the type of boys that only date girls for their looks. You also happen to be dumb, becuse you think football is the only thing that is important.” I looked at him. The jock looked at me. He looked like he was going to murder me. I smiled and went back to getting my things for class. “Come on Eliza, be smart and go out for coffee with us.” He said trying to hide that I am making him mad. Which did not work. “NO”, I yelled. I look at the boys and my hands suddenly light on fire. They started backing away. My hands stopped being on fire. I suddenly realize what I’ve done. I ran to the bathroom and locked the door. “How did I do that?” I say. I look at my hands and no burn marks. I heard a knock on the door. I did not open it. I heard the knock again. “Go away!” I yell. “Just open it!” Some one says. I open it and Jacob is standing there with a smirk on his face. “Believe me now?” he says. “Yes I believe you.” When school was over Jacob met me by my car. “Can I come to your house and talk to your dad with you?” he asked. “Sure” I say. “Wait what about your car? I ask. “ My sister is going to drive it home.” He replies. We both get in and start driving. “My dad has a lot to explain,” I say. “He sure does Eliza, he sure does.” Jacob says.


Chapter Three

Time to explain.

We got out of the car and he slammed the car door. “Hey.” I say “Be careful with the door.” “Sorry.” he says “I'm nervous for you.” “Why?” I say. He swallows, and slowly says “My family has been fighting for basically all my life because when I was little I couldn't control my powers. I flooded our house, when I was two.” “Yeesh” I say. Then I open the door we walk in. My dad says a quick “Hi.” and looks back at the TV to continue watching the football game. “Dad”….“shhh” my dad interrupts me and says “footballs on shut it.” My hands lit on fire. I wanted him to shut off the TV and attention. I raised my hand to shoot a fireball. Jacob grabs my hand, pulling me back. His hand lets off steam. He winces in pain. Still holding on. I look at him and my hands put themselves out. Instead I take the remote and turn off the TV, take the batteries out and throw them on the ground. “Hey.” He yells. “what was that for?” he says. “Dad what happened to my mother?” I say calmly. “She died in a car accident,” he says. “Shure. What happened to my mom?” I ask again. “She died in a car accident.” he said again. “NO,” I yell “WHAT HAPPENED TO MY REAL MOTHER!!!!!” “she died with all the other queens.” my dad starts. “Go on.” I say. “A man called Jack was jealous of all the queens and kings who had magic. Then he made dark magic. He sought out to kill all the other royals. Your mother was the only one to get her child to safety before the queens including your mom was killed. I have never seen Jack to this day, and I did not think it was a good idea to tell you yet.” He frowns. “What happened to my dad and the other kings?” I ask. My eyes filled with tears. “No one knows.” he answers. “Why? Why didn’t you tell me! Our first rule is no secrets, that's the most important Rule and you broke it.” I can feel Jacob staring. “Eliza I…” he stands up. “NO!” I interrupted him. I didn't want to hear it. “Eliza.......” “No.” I interrupt him again. “I never want to talk to you again.” I ran up to my room. I slam the door so hard the room shakes. There was a knock on the door and I said “Go away.” “It's me Jacob,” Jacob says. I say “come in.” Quickly I said “I'm sorry!” he was shocked. He said, “sorry? Sorry for what? You fought in front of me so what!” “But I thought you hated fighting and I still fought in front of you.” “The important thing is that you now know your past.” I say “yeah but now I feel, I feel,” I start tearing up again “I feel horrible.” I start crying. I wipe my tears away. “Eliza.” He looks at me and says, “I'm here, I'm your friend and you can talk to me about anything.” He gives me a hug. I feel less bad in his arms. Then he looks at me and says “I will always be there for you.” He smiles, I smile, we smile at each other for a little bit. He says “I should probably go. My family will be worried.” “Yeah, hey” I say. He turns. “yes”, he says. “Thanks,” I say. “you're welcome,” Jacob says. “See you tomorrow” I say, “See you tomorrow” he says back. Then I do nothing but think about what I did. I did a terrible thing to Charlie. I realized that there is more to being a Fire prinses than Having powers. There is, Having to control your emotions, having to control your powers, And having to run a kingdom. I can not Imagine me running a kingdom. I don't even know If the kingdom I was born In still stands. I got up and grabbed my Jacket. My phone fell out of my pocket and fell on the ground, With a bang. “Eliza? You ok?” Charlie askes. I grabbed my phone and my coat and jumped into my tree and on the ground. “Eliza?” Charlie asked again. “Eliza I’m Coming up.” Charlie opens the door. “Eliza? Eliza!? ELIZA!!? ELIZA WHERE ARE YOU THIS IS NOT FUNNY!” Charlie sees the window open. “Oh no!” I ran as fast as I could. I wanted to find a place to be alone. I went to the park and sat by the pond. Meanwhile



“ELIZA! WHERE ARE YOU!” “ELIZA!” Charlie calls. “I Know!” He pulls out his phone and looks at the online yearbook. “Jacob found you.” He diles the number. “Helow?” Jacob says over the phone. “Is Eliza at your house?” Charlie says in a panic. “No she is not, I left her at your house.” Jacob answers. “She is not there she left. I have no Idea where she is.” Charlie says. “Well she is not here, But I will help you look for her.” Jacob says. “Thanks.” Charlie says hanging up. “Mom, dad got to go.” Jacob calls. “Go where?” his parents say. “My friend is missing. I am going to look for her. See you later.” He runs out the door and jumps into his car and drives away. I was still at the park watching the ducks swim across the pond. I wanted to disappear forever. I wanted to never show my face again. I was never going to fit in anywhere. I was an Outcast. I had always been an outcast whether I knew it or not. I was a loser. I was a monster. That word would never leave my head. Monster. I was that, a monster. “I Am a monster.” I say. “Where are you Eliza!” Jacob says. He had driven past the school, the lybrary, the main town, almost everywhere. The last place he had to cheek was the park. If he did not find her there she was gone. He started driving past the duck pond. He looked to his left and saw Eliza. “Hey look it’s Eliza.” He said. “Oh Eliza.” He backed up and parked. He slowly started walking up to her, when he heard her say, “I am a monster.” “No your not.” I grabbed the person who said that and threw them in the pond. A very wet Jacob came walking out of that pond. “Oh my goodness I am so sorry. I did not know it was you. Here I will make it fair.” I took out my phone and my wallet and put it on the bench and I walked towards the pond and dived in getting all wet. “See now it is fair.” I went to the bench and sat down. Jacob sat next to me. “You are not a monster.” Jacob tells me. “I am a monster. Throwing you proved that.” “No it just proves that your very strong.” “Ha Ha.” I laughed. His clothes were all stained with mud. Mine was not. Follow me. We walked to the store very close to the park. We left Jacobs' car there. We walked in and I walked all the way to the cloth and bought Jacob a new pair. “Here. Go change. I am going to buy me a new outfit too.” I said to Jacob. “No, since you bought my outfit I will buy yours.” He says. “Is your money dry?” I ask. “Waterproof wallet.” He says. “Cool.” I say. “Hold my stuff.” He walks to the cloth and buys me a new outfit. “Here.” He hands it to me and we both go and change. He bought me a red shirt and some jeans. I bought him a blue shirt and some jeans. We both walk out and laugh. We get back to the park and we get in his car. “I am taking you home. But first, I need to let your dad”….”HE IS NOT MY DAD!” I interrupt him. “Ok, I need to let charlie know that I found you and I am taking you home.” he diles the number. I looked away. “Hey…...yeah I found her…..yes, she is fine…..Yeah, I won't let her out of my sight…..see you soon….ok by. When we get home I went straight up to my room and went to bed. I did not want to see Charlie's face.



Chapter four

Training

When I got up my dad was nowhere to be seen. I thought he went to work so I got dressed and made breakfast and as usual went to boring school. Jacob was there waiting for me. He smiled and waved. I ran up to him. Then he said, “Hey there are flyers all over the school for the Autumn dance. Are you going?” he asks. “I don't know yet.” I say Without thinking. “Are you going?” I asked him. “Maybe” he says. When I was walking to my class everyone was staring at me. Watching me as if I was going to turn into flames. Since the time I could have burnt a jock, All eyes were on me. Nobody came up to me except Jacob. One day me and Jacob were studying math and, The Jock that annoyed me came up to me and said, “ Hey I have a sandwich that needs cooking, could you?” Holding the sandwich in front of me. I lunged at him but Jacob grabbed my hand stopping me. I grabbed my stuff and walked past the Jock. “See you later hot head.” He called after me. “First period Starts and all I can think about is my father, where he might be, what he might be doing, All of it. Then the rest of the day was a blur except for last period. It was science. We were dissecting frogs. It was gross. Halfway throught the class the same Jock came up to me again. “I heard you have to wear gloves because you burn everything you touch.” I stood up and looked at him and said, “Will you just shut up and leave me alone.” “Let me think about that. No.” I punched him in the face. Girls screamed. He fell on his back. He had a bleeding lip. He stood up and swung at me, but I ducked and he missed. I ducked under his arm. He turned around and I ran out of the classroom. With the Jock and Jacob following me. He ran faster than me. He caught up to me and grabbed me. He tried punching me in the side, but I Ducked under his arm. I faced him as he faced me. “Eliza! Stop!” Jacob called behind me. “That's right go to your boyfriend.” The Jock mocked. I lunged at him and he moved at the last second. I hit the wall with a thud. Right as I turned around the Jock punched me. I was out like a light. “Mr. Mccoy!” A voice said. Jacob and the Jock turned. The principle saw the Jock punch Eliza. “John Mcoy to the office now!!” The principle said. “Jacob take her to the office.” she added. I sat up with Jacob by my side, and a black eye. “What happened?” I asked Jacob. “You don't remember what happened?” He asked me. “No.” I replied. “you had a fight and you almost won, then you lost.” I tried standing up but I almost collapsed, he grabs me and gently pulls me back down to sit. “You better stay here to the end of the period.” I got up when the bell rang after the period. I sat up Jacob still next to me. “Can I go home now I ask.” “You can but we still have one more class” he answers me. “Oh.” I say “I'll stay”. We go to our separate classes. After school was over, Jacob came to my car and said “Tomorrow you're coming to my house to practice your powers” “okay? sure” I say. I drove him home and then went home myself. When I get in the door my dad saw me. I told him the story. He was disappointed and proud that I showed him that I did not take bullying. I went to bed. In the morning Jacob came to my house and he was in his car. I get in and say “what if they don't like me.” “Just don't touch them and you'll be fine.” “Okay.” I say Shakly. Then when we get to his house I say “It's beautiful.” I turn to look at it. I hear someone coming down the hall and I see it’s a beautiful woman. “This is my mother, Jennife.” “Then a man comes down the hall. “This is my father Rayan.” Rayan sticks out his hand for me to shake it. I step back. Jacob says “Dad I don't think you want to shake her hand, she's the fire princess.” I smile just a little bit. Then some of his family comes down the hall, then a girl about 20, and a girl about 17. Jacob says their names very quickly, Cordelia, and Aqua. “Hi!” They say. “Where is Bolivar and Beck?” Jacob askes I hear running and I see a basketball fly towards me. I did not have enough time to move. It hit me in the face. I fall to the ground. My nose feels like it is broken. “Eliza you ok?” Jacob askes. “I think that ball broke my nose.” I say. “BECK AND BOLIVAR!” Jacob yells. Two boys come out. Jacob throws the ball to the first boy. “Beck no balls inside.” he complains. “Bolivar I think you would have known better.” Jacob says looking at the other boy. My nose starts to bleed. My nose turns to a pink-ish purple-ly color. I touch my nose. It hurts so bad. “Yup it is broken.” I say. “Come with me.” Jacob's father says. He leads me into a room. He opens a cupboard that has bandages and medical things. “Are you a doctor?” I ask. “Yup.” He says. He says, “This might hurt.” He carefully held my nose straight. And puts something on it. “That should keep your nose straight while it heals.” He says. We walk out. Jenifer sees me. I hear a timer go off, Jacobs mom says “That would be dinner, you hungry?” After we finished our dinner Jacob said, “So do you want to go practice your powers now?” “Sure I say”. He leads me to the backyard. In the background I can hear people saying “I like her. She's nice. me too.” When I reach the backyard Jacob goes over the safety procedures but all I hear is “Don't shoot me, don't shoot me okay? Alright go.”

One Hour later

There is fire everywhere on the trees on the ground on the statues I look around and all I see is fire. “I am so sorry I will pay for everything” I say. “No no no no it's okay we have enough money to pay for all this.” “Are you sure?” I say. “Completely sure” Jacob says. “I should at least pay for the statue's.” I say. “No, we will pay for all of this.” He replies. “well on that fireball I really should be getting home.” “Okay bye Eliza” he says. His family says goodbye too. As I'm leaving, Beck says “You are terrible at using your powers.” “You were the one who hit me in the face with a basketball.” I complained. “Serves you right for standing there.” He says. I wanted to punch him in the face. “Jacob?” I called. He came up to me. I whispered in his ear, “Can I punch your brother?” “Yes.” he says. I walked up to Beck. I punched his shoulder and It left a burn mark for a couple seconds. He also fell on the ground. “Oww!” he yells. Behind him I can hear Aqua snickering. Then I say “On that note goodbye Beck”. Aqua Snickers again. And he looks at her and he says “what's so funny.” That night I could not sleep so I got up to take a drink of water and Jacob was in my kitchen. He said “Jack is back and he's looking for you, run! run! run!” Then I woke up to the sound of my alarm clock.


Chapter Five

Jack

I got up and Dad is still not talking. He tried to get me to talk but I said nothing. When dad comes down the stairs he doesn't even look at me or anything. I'm worried. Then I say “bye Dad I love you.” He runs over to me and hugs me then he says “goodbye Eliza, I love you”. I drive away, he waves. Then I saw someone break down about a mile away so I stopped to help them. I got out and it's just a man. “I say do you need help?” “Oh he says I need to get to the high school.” Oh that's where I'm going” I say “want me to drive you there”. “yes please” he says. I asked him “why are you going to high school”. Well I'm a teacher,” he says. “Oh I've never seen you there” I say. “well you know Mr. Smith” he says, “yes” I say. “Well he retired and he said I am the replacement for him.” “Well welcome to the high school” I say “I'm Eliza,” “I'm Jack” he says. I held out my hand for him to shake it then I remembered I will burn him. He says “you should probably keep both hands on the wheel”. “Oh right,” I say, my mind screams, “Be more careful Eliza.” When we get to the school Jacob sees me. He walks up to me, I get out and we hug. He says “who's this.” “This is Jack”. I say “he's a replacement for Mr Smith”. Jack and Jacob shake hands. Then we go in. Me and Jacob go to get food and Jack goes to his class. After we sit down after getting our food Jacob says “I don't trust him.” “Why? Because he’s a teacher?” I say. “no.” he says “because his name is Jack,” Jacob says. “Lots of people are named Jack, Jacob,” I say. “Just be careful,” Jacob says. “Okay” I say. Then we hug and go to separate classes. All day was with a blur because I was thinking about what Jacob said. ‘What if Jacob was right? What if he really was the Jack who killed my mom?’ When school was over Jacob ran up to me, and said “I have a question”. “Shoot,'' I say. Jacob slowly says, “Eliza.. Will.. you…. go..to…. the…. Fall…. Dance…. With…. Me?” Then he ends his sentence. Then I look at him and blush like crazy and say “yes I will go to the Fall Dance with you.” We hug and I drive him home. He gets out of my car and says “see you tomorrow.” Then I say “I need to find a dress.” He smiles. Then I drive home. I walk in the front door and yell “Dad!!!” He came down the stairs. “What!!!” he says. “I need to find a dress for the Fall Dance,” I say. He says “okay let's go”. We go to the Dress store and we see Jenifer. I smile and say “Hi Jenifer” Aqua is there too. We both try on dresses. I try on a long dress that is red and she tries on a long dress that is blue. we both giggle. Jenifer says “I will pay for your dress” Eliza. Charlie says “oh you don't have to do that. Jenifer says “Oh but I want to.” She gives the money to the cashier. I hug her and say “thanks”. She winces. “Oh sorry” I say and we leave. When I got home I took my dress up stairs. Then I change into my PJ's and hop into bed. All night I could not think of anything but going to the dance with Jacob. Then my dad came up and said “Here your mom would have wanted you to have this.” He hands me a red box. I open it and it is a red necklace with a fire symbol. “Thanks.” I say and I hug him. He winces. “Sorry I forgot” I say. “It's fine” he says, “goodnight” my dad adds. “Goodnight” I say and I drift off to sleep. I opened my eyes and there was a woman standing in front of me and then I saw Jack the teacher coming up behind her, and he tried to kill her. I say I think she's my mom. Then something catches my eye. It's the same necklace dad gave me. I scream “MOM RUN!” Then I Watched as Jack stabbed her, and she fell to the ground. “No!” I scream. He walks up to me, I trip and fall then he holds up his sword about to stab me, and then I wake up to the sound of a car honking. I get up and look out the window and Jacob is waiting for me in a black Volvo. He waves, I way back then I get dressed and run down the stairs and outside. I jumped in the car. “Hey, I didn't know you had a black Volvo” I say. “I had this forever but I decided not to ride it to school”. Then he says “sleep well?” “no.” I replied. “Why not?” he says. “I saw my mother and Jack.”




Chapter Six

The Attack

“What do you mean you saw Jack and your mom?” “I saw them in my dream,” I say. “Then he says how do you know it was your mom.” “My dad gave me a necklace and he said it was my mom's. She was wearing it in the dream.” “So you think the teacher Jack is thee Jack?” he says. “I have no idea but I'm pretty sure it's him. Then we drive to school. We see Jack. We don't take our eyes off of him. He sees us and waves. I smile back at him. He comes up to me and says, “you okay? you're not your happy self.” I say “I'm tired from last night. I quickly lie.” “oh.” he says as he walks away. Today was a half day because of this dance. so we got out early. Jacob walks up to me and says “I will pick you up okay?” “okay” I say. I get to my house and put on my dress and then the necklace. the necklace glows. I also put on a pair of gloves so that I don't burn anyone. I go outside and see Jacob. Then he says “Your beautiful Eliza.” I blush. When we get to the dance we can hear the music from outside. we go in and we both say “wow” at the same exact time. We laugh. We go in and see Aqua and Bolivar dancing. “Hi” we say. “Hi.” they say back. We all dance. After the dance is over the slow dance starts. Jacob says “Eliza can I have the pleasure of this dance?” I say “yes.” we go on the floor. Aqua and Bolivar join us. I say “Aren't they related?” “Yes.” he says. “Why are they dancing together?” I say. “Aqua couldn't find a date for the dance so Bolivar said they would go together.” Jacob says. “Aw so kind” I say. “why are you being nice to me are we at War water and fire?” I say. “No” he says. We laugh. We stop dancing. “Why are you wearing gloves?” Jacob says. “I did not want to burn anyone.” I tell him. “Take off your gloves.” He says. I slowly take them off. “Hold your hands out.” He continues. I put them in front of me. He lookes at me and says, “Think of a memory that makes you calm and happy.” I look at him with wide eyes. “Trust me.” I watched him as he slowly touched my hands and It burned him. He just kept his hands there. I looked at him. I could see the pain on his face. I pulled my hands towards me. “What are you doing?” I asked him. “If you think of a memory that makes you happy and calm it will cool down your hands, making me able to touch your hands without burning me. I looked at his hands still out. They had scars for a moment then it faded. I extended my hands again. I closed my eyes. I felt his hands touching mine. I also heard a sizzling sound. I remember when I was little that Charlie and I went to the pier, He told me, “when you are in need call out for a mermaid. They will help you.” I laughed. It was a wonderful memorie. The sizzling started to quiet down. Then It changed. I saw the day Charlie told me that he had been lying for 18 years to me. I saw myself fighting with him. The sadness of that memorie made my hands cold. The sound of sizzling stopped. Jacob was staring at me with wide eyes. His eyes were filled with fear. The memory seemed to go on forever and ever. The sadness filled me up. Jacob pulled his hands away. I felt that he pulled his hands away. The room tempchar changed. I could feel that it was getting colder. I tried to exit the memorie to see what was happening but I could not. I was stuck in this memory forever. “Eliza! Eliza! Eliza!” I could hear Jacob calling. I tried to scream out but I could not. “ELIZA!!” I could hear him call louder. I finally opened my eyes. I was turning to ice. I did not know what I did wrong. Then it reversed. I was back to normal. “What happened?” I asked “When a child that is born with powers gets sad, if they do not push through they turn to ice. He says. He goes to get me a drink. He walks away. I looked at my hands and I never wanted to use them again. Then I hear a cry of help. I feel like I should go to it. I want to, but I don't want to leave Jacob all alone. I decided to follow. It's the farthest class down the school. The door shuts on me. I turn around and Jack is there. He says, “I knew you were like your mother, always nice to complete strangers Like Me.” “You're a killer and a substitute?” I ask. “No, wait, did you kill mr. smith?” He smiles. Then He pulls out a bunch of knives, and starts throwing them at me. I run and Hide. Jack says “come out little fire flame!” my necklace starts to glow and it gives me away. He grunts then I hear a ting and the knife is 3 in from my nose. I move and cover my necklace. “come out now!” he yells. Meanwhile Jacob is saying “where’s Eliza?” He starts walking down the hall, looking for me. when he hears “HELP JACOB!” Jacob runs into the room and sees Jack throwing knives. He attacks Jack. Jack tries to cut Jacob. Then Jack turns around and tries to kill Jacob. “Run Eliza!” Jacob yells. I tried running but then tripped over and fell. Then Jack throws Jacob, and throws a knife at me. I scream. I feel pain as blood drifts on the floor. I pull out the knife with another shrieking scream running through me. Jacob gasps. Then Jacob turns Jack and punches him in the head. He knocks to the ground. I'm in so much pain, I tried not showing it on my face but it came through. Jacob says “Don't worry my dad is a doctor remember, he will take care of you!” He carries me to the car and puts paper towels on my leg. “Stay here!” he says ‘I'll go get Aqua and Bolivar.” “Not like I could go anywhere!” I yell at him. A couple seconds later Bolivar, Jacob and Aqua run out. Aqua sees my leg and gasps. Jacob jumps into the driver seat and Bolivar jumps into the passenger seat. Aqua jumps next to me and sits there the whole entire car ride next to me making sure I was okay. When we get to Jacob's house he grabs me and runs to the door, Jacob screams “Eliza’s hurt and she needs help!” They all gasped at my leg. “Is she going to be okay?” Jacob asks. “If we fix her now she'll be okay!” Rayan says. Rayan ran up stairs with Jacob behind him. Everyone stayed down stairs. When Rayan was fixing me, He told Jacob to put a liquid on my leg, that would clean the cut if infected. Jacob poured a lot on my leg and it burned. “Oww!” I yelled. “WATCH IT!” I said angrily at Jacob. “Sorry.” Jacob said. “No, I am sorry, you were only trying to help.” I said. It wasn't as bad as it was when I pulled out the knife. When it was all done Rayan said “Eliza you cannot go home, you have to stay here to make sure you don't get any worse.” “Okay.” I say submitting. Jacob helps me up another floor down the hall to the third door. Aqua opens the door and it's a ginormous bedroom. “you’ll sleep here.” Jacob says. “It's huge,” I say. Jacob helps me to the bed. “Thank you.” I say to all of them. Everybody's about to leave the room, then Aqua says “what are we going to do about her dad?” “we don't tell him.” Jacob says. “We have to!” Aqua says. “No!” I say. “Jacob's right if my dad finds out about this he’ll be so angry. I'll tell him later by myself. If we tell him now he'll never let me see you guys again.” I say. Everybody started leaving the room and Jacob said “I need to talk to Eliza for a second.” Jacob looks at me with a sad face and says “I'm so sorry Eliza, I never meant for you to get hurt.” “It's okay.” I say. “It's not your fault Jack was back and I should have listened to your advice the first time at school.” I say. I try standing up out of the bed and he catches me before I fall. Then I ask him a very important question, “what did you do with Jack?” “Oh no,” Jacob says. “I left him at the school. He'll wake up and still be powerful. I'm not in the class That you have with him so he can get you after class.” He says. “A more important question is what we are supposed to tell the kids at school about what happened to me.” I say. “I will tell them you fell down our stairs.” He says. I look into his deep blue eyes, “you are the best friend I could ever have Jacob” I say to him. Then I hugged him, and I walked back to the bed. I asked Jacob, “Do you have any books to read? I can’t fall asleep without reading.” He went into the hall and brought back a book that said, History of the lost city. “Thanks.” I say. Later I started yawning and then I fell asleep while I was reading. Jacob took the book from me, and put it next to the bed. Then he went to bed himself.


chapter 7
meeting the others

In the morning Jenifer said “Get up Eliza, get up Jacob we're going to meet the others.” “what others?” I say. “The ones who have powers. we're going to see the wind and the Earth and more ocean people and more fire people.” Jenifer says. “I thought I was the only fire one.” I said. “Nope the city of fire people got out, but you were the only royalty out. Aqua went to my house and got me a clean pair of cloth. I dressed in jeans and a shirt. We went to a power plant. We went downstairs and Jacob helped me down the stairs. We came to a wall that had symbols on it. Jenifer pushes the wall, left left, right, right, right, up, down, sideways, left. The wall moved sideways and opened. It revealed a council of earth, water, Wind, and Fire people. It looked like a big football stadium. Jenifer stands up and says to the people of Xaviea, “Jack is back and he is more powerful than ever. We have to do something as a council.” I heard murmurs go around the entire entire Stadium, people were saying “she's lying, he's not really there.” I started getting mad about it because they wouldn't listen to her. “Please listen to me!” she said. “Sit down!” I heard someone scream. Then I stood up and said “I saw Jack! He stabbed me with a knife! He killed my mother Halaina!” Everyone gasps. I hear murmurs of “Its the daughter” “she is here” “what?” Then I sit down. After it's over I say “who were those people?” I ask. “Jenifer says people of the four elements, the heart of dragon onyx.” “They are jerks.” I say. “Eliza! That's not very nice.” she says. “Well it is true. They shouldn't treat you that way. It is the worst way to treat a person. How do you not get mad, I would get mad.” I reply. “ I know that it is not nice to treat people that way but they have the power to eliminate people. If we were rude to them they would have the power to eliminate you if they think it is the best for the city.” Jennifer says. we get back to the oceans house. Jacob helps me on the couch and pulls something out of his pocket. It is a water pendment. “what?” I say. He looks at me and says “It is a symbol of how I feel like you're part of the family.” I smile. He hugs me. Then he says “Eliza will promise me something?” “yes?” I say. “Will you tell me if something is bothering you?” “Yes.” I say. when school started back up I was on crutches. Once school was done Jacob drove me to his house. My dad was in the driveway. I could hear yelling, “where is my daughter!?” when we get out I yell, “dad!?” “You were gone for two days!” he yells. “Two things, one it was for one day, and I accidentally fell asleep at their house so they let me stay.” I say. “what is with the crutches?” My dad asks. “It was for a play.” I lie. He says “Walk for me without them.” I look up at Rayan behind my dad. His face reads fear. “okay.” I say fiercely. I throw the crutches away from me. Jacob's face turns to fear as well. I start walking and I don't trip. I got all the way to where my father is. “Hahaha.” I say. “For a school play.” I say. my dad frowns as Jacob smiles.


Chapter 8
The return of Jack

I woke up to the sound of rocks hitting my window. I looked at my clock and it was 11:27. I looked out my window and I saw nothing, so I went back to bed. I heard the noise again so with a groan, I went over to the window and opened it. I said “what?!” Jacob said, “Get dressed, we're going to the New Year's party.” “No way it's 11:30, absolutely not.” I said. “Please.” Jacob said. “Hmm… fine.” I said. “Let me throw a rope down.” “That won't be necessary.” Jacob said. I look out the window and suddenly, he is calling water to him and thrust himself up to my window. I am soaked with water. “Ugh thanks.” I groan as I go to the bathroom to change. “Sorry.” he looks at me, as I walk away to go change. “Eliza?! are you okay?” my dad says. I don't say anything. I look at Jacob and put my finger in front of my lips so show him that we need to be quiet. I could barely hear my dad mumble, “she is sleeping.” “Let's go.” Jacob says. and he jumps out the window and lands on his feet. “wow.” I say. “JUMP!” he says. “Easy for you, no way I'm jumping out of a two-story house window.” “It will be easy.” Jacob Says. “No.” I say scared. “Come on I'll catch you.” He tries again to convince me. “No.” Again I say scared. Then he says “Trust me you will be okay.” He looks up at me. “Okay.” I say scared. Then I close my eyes and jump. I feel the wind blowing against my face, then my legs on the ground. “see?” he says. “Thanks for catching me.” I say. “No problem.” Then Jacob walks up to some truck. I jump in the back. The front has Jennifer and Rayan. The back has bolivar and Aqua sitting by each other and beck and Cordelia sitting by each other. Cordelia says “why'd you bring her?” “Cordelia!” Beck says. “I’m sorry about her.” He says. “No I understand completely.” I say. “You do?” They all say. “Yes.” I say “She doesn't know me so she doesn't trust me.” “Exactly.” Cordelia says. “When we get there, there is everybody from school there.” “Whoa.” I say. “Cool huh?” Jacob says. When it gets to midnight, fireworks Go off in the back of his yard. I see a face. In the tree’s next to his house. It looks like Jack. I blink and it disappears. “Eliza you okay?” Jacob asked. “Yeah I’m ok.” I say with a confused face. “What is wrong?” Jacob ask’s. “I saw Jack and then he disappeared.” “Oh.” he says. “I’m probably imagining it.” I say. “I should probably get going.” I say. “Right.” Jacob says. “I'll drive you.” he adds. “Ok.” I say. When we are in the car, he looks at me and says, “u ok? You look like you're about to faint.” “I'm ok.” I say, “Just tired.” When we get home I have to take the window, I climb the tree next to it. I Jump. I land with a Umpf, on the floor. I look out the window and don't see jacob. “Hi.” Jacob says. Looking at me from my tree. “Ah!” I say. I fall on my back. “Don't scare me like that.” “Sorry.” Jacob says. He jumps in my room and helps me up. “It's ok I…,” I pause. “What were u going to say?” Jacob says. “SHH!” I say to Jacob, as I push him into my closet. Then shut the doors. My dad starts coming up the stairs. I run into my bed, as he opens the door. He peeks through the crack of the door. Seeing that I'm asleep. He walks down the stairs. Then Jacob opens the closet door. “Is he gone?” He says. “Yes he is gone. You can come out now.” I say. “Ok.” he says and walks out. So see you tomorrow at school? He says. “Totaly.” I say. He is about to jump out the window, as he turns to me and pauses. I look at him. As my eyes start to close. He runs over to me. He grabs me before I collapse. “Eliza u ok?” He asks. “Hm?” I say. “U better get to sleep.” he says. “You look awful.” He adds. “Hm?” I ask again. He looks at my eyes. I look at him as my eyes are closing. He sees my eyes closing. He helps me walk over to the bed. And makes me sit. “Eliza you look so tired. Get some sleep.” He makes me lay down and covers me with the blanket. “Good night.” he says to me as I start to close my eyes. When he gets to the window, he looks down seeing his sister Cordelia yell, “hurry up! Jacob” “Jacob?” I say. He walks back over to me, and says, “yes?” “Thanks.” I say. I hug him. Then he walks back over to the window. He looks back at me and says “Good night.” I say, “Good night” back. He jumps. “What took you so long?” Cordelia says. “Sorry.” Jacob says. They jump into the car and drive away. My eyes start to close, then I see Jack's face. My eyes open wide. He was not there anymore. “Just Imagining it.” I tell myself. The pitch black closes in.

Chapter 9
Jack paying a visit.

Eliza!.....Eliza!.....ELIZA!!!!!! Jacob burst through the door. “Oh.” he says. I start panting in my sleep. He walks up to me. Then I wake up screaming. Then I turned to see jacob. Another scream goes through me. “Hi.” he says. “Boy one day, you are going to kill me, by scaring me!” I say. “Oh and you're late.” he says. “Meet me downstairs in 5 minutes,” he adds. “What?, oh no, school!” Then I ran into the closet. Jacob exits my room. And waits. Then I ran down the stairs grabbing my shoes. Then my backpack and run outside. He follows fast. I jump in his car. He gets on the driver's side. I put on my shoes. And get my backpack in front of me. “So……” he says. “What was the screaming about?” he asks. “Nothing!” I say firmly. “Eliza, really, don't play that game with me.” “It’s fine.” I say. “Eliza you promised you would tell me if something was bothering you.” He tells me. “Nothing is bothering me.” I lie. He gives me the look. The look that wants to make you guilty. “Ok.” I say. “Last night after u left, I saw Jack in my room. When I blinked he was gone. Then all night I could not dream of anything except the night, I had the dream I saw my mom get killed by him.” “Oh.” he says. “That's when you were there.” I admitted. “Here we are.” he says. I look up and see School. “Why are there no people outside?” I ask. “Because we're late.” he says. “Oh right.” When we park. I run. Jacob caches up to me. When we get there, the principal says detention for both of you. Shoot I say. Then we wait till the next period. It seemed hours till the next period. Then the bell rang. “Finally! See you later jacob.” He waves to me. When I get to the class. It's jack. I scream. And then I blink and it mr. shawn. “You ok Eliza?” He says. “Yup.” I say. As I sit down. The other kids laugh. When the next period starts I say to myself, “No more screaming.” This class was the class that was Jacks. The kid that wanted to trade changed his mind, so Jacob was not in the class. When I get to the class. I saw jack. I tried not to scream. Then blinked at him. It was still Jack. I blinked millions of times. It really was Jack. I look at him. He smiles. “Oh no.” I think. Then walk and sit. After class I ran out. When I get home Jacob comes to visit me. I told him about Jack. Then said, “Dad has you for my science tutor.” “Ok.” Jacob says. “Well I better go.” Jacob says. “See you tomorrow for science.” I say. “Yup.” he says. When it gets dark I go to sleep. When I come out of the bathroom. Before changing, Jack was standing in my room. “Hi!” He says. I jump out the window and land in my tree. I run down the streets. I get to the cliff behind Jacob's house. Jack is there. I scream. Jacob peaks out his window, he sees people fighting. He grabs his Jacket. He runs out. He runs down to the cliff. He says, “who's there.” “It's me.” I say. “Fighting jack. Help me.” I add. He runs up to Jack right as he knocks me off the edge. I scream. Holding on to the edge. “Help me jacob!” I yell. He tries to throw Jack off the cliff. He does. Jack grabs my foot. “Let go old man.” I yell. Then I fell. I plunge to the water. Trying to get to land. I try swimming with my left hand. I yell in pain. I go under water as the currents Grab me. Then Jacob yells, “grab my hand.” I’m trying to grab his hand. Jacob leans towards me. Jack was close to me. If I grab Jacobs hand, Jack would grab me and get on land. I push Jacobs' hand away. Jacob looks at me confused. Once Jack gets closer to me, I look at Jacob as I grab Jack and we both fall off the cliff. “NO!” Jacob screams. He ran down to the bottom of the waterfall. He was watching the water waiting for someone to appear out of the water. He grabs a stick, because he sees someone swimming towards the surface. I pop my head out of the lake. “Eliza!” Jacob screams. He runs towards me swimming in the water. I stand up, and he gives me a hug. He hugs a little tighter. I cry out in pain. He let go. He looks at my arm. Clenched my chest. “I'm sorry.” he says. “It's ok.” I say. “Is it broken?” He says. “I don't know.” I say. I look at the lake. I don't see jack. “Hoping he is dead?” Jacob says. “Yup!” I say. Jacob says, “Come on, we will let my dad look at it.” “No.” I say. “I don't want to bother them. I’ll walk to the hospital.” “No.” Jacob says. “I’ll drive you.” “NO!” I say to jacob. “I want to walk. You need to go to sleep.” I say to him. “No you can't walk alone. I'm coming with you whether you like it or not.” He says. “But…”I start. “No.” Jacob interrupts. “Fine.” I groan. “Come on.” I say. He catches up with me. Before we get to the hospital we turn off at my house. I go to my backyard. I try climbing the tree. I groan in pain. “Eliza, what are you doing?” Jacob asked. “I need you to go to my room. In the second drawer of my desk there is money. Please bring me the money that is not in the jar.” “Ok.” he says. He jumps in my room. He grabs the money. Then comes down. “Thanks.” I say. He hands it to me. As we walk, my shoes squish with the water in them. The wind blows. I start to shiver. “Here.” Jacob says. He takes off his jacket, and puts around my shoulders. Then I put the money in the pocket. When we get to the hospital, my doctor sees me. “Oh no.” I turn and start to walk away. “Eliza?” What are you doing here? She says. “Hey lorain.” I say. “Just that I busted my arm. And wanted to make sure it's not broken.” “Ok follow me.” She says. “Where's your dad?” she says. “He is sleeping.” When I busted it, he was awake. Almost. He was too tired to come. So I called my friend jacob.” “Ok”. she says. She leads me into a room. “Ok let me see it.” she says. I try unclenching it from my chest. I wince. “I can't.” I say. “Ok” she says. She taps it. She also does other tests. I wince. “Ok it is fractured.” “Thanks.” I say. I start to walk away. “Altho your dad still needs to know it is fractured.” “Please no.” I say. “Why not?” she says. “He already knows your hurt.” “No he doesn't.” I say. “I lied. I was visiting Jacob when I tripped.” “Eliza!” she says mad. “I am now definitely telling him.” she says. I slam the 1,000 bucks on the counter. “Don't tell him and I will give you my money.” “Eliza, no you should save that for college.” Jacob buts in. No, she says. I take out my diamond earrings, and put it on the counter as well. “Please.” I say. “Fine.” she says. “Now go.” She says sternly. We rush out. we walk back. jacob says, “you gave up your college money?” I had to. I say. We go to the front door. I opened it. We tip toe up stairs. Then open the door and shut It silently. Stay here. I grab clothes and go into the bathroom. Once I’m changed. I sit on my bed still staring at the mirror. “Eliza?” Jacob says. I look at him. “How am I supposed to explain this to him?” “Who?” Jacob says. “My dad.” I frown. “Are you ready for tomorrow?” Jacob says. “ Right, Spirit week.” I say. “You will be a fire Queen and I will be a water king.” “Ok.” then I go to sleep as he leaves. When I wake up. I get dressed in my costume. Before we leave my dad comes up to me and says wear the fire necklace it makes you look like your mother. I smile and we drive to school. We walk into school. “I feel stuped.” I say. “You're fine.” Jacob says. “Everybody is wearing costumes they won't even know to notice you.” “You're right.” I say to Jacob when I get to my first. I look around and many of the other kids are wearing costumes. They don't even notice me. When I get to Jack's class, I expect to see a substitute teacher. Instead I see Jack. my mind screams, “NO!!!!! This guy Just won't die!” “Elisa!” Jack says, “Won't you do the first problem on the board.” “No. Thanks.” I say. “May I do the problem on the board?” My friend Amy Says. “you may.” Jack says. “I watched Jack like a Hawk.” When it was over I rushed out before he could grab me. I started running down the hall to my next class when I ran into Jacob. “what's wrong?” Jacob says. “Jack is still teaching here. He went over the cliff and he is still here.” Jacob looked at my face and then immediately looked up with an angry face. I slowly start turning around and Jack is right behind me. “Hello!” Jack says. “What do you want!!!!” I say “I want you dead.” Jack says. “I'm going to get you whether you like it or not.” Jack adds. “I say not.” I say Jack burst out in laughter. “Very funny Eliza.” he says. “when you too are not with each other I will get you both and I will get your powers.” “likely story.” Jacob says “I'm studying with her every day and she's too fast for you to get her, and………………………….she knows how to use her fire powers.” he says. “Really Jack says because they don't get their powers until 19, you're eighteen Eliza.” “Apparently she got her powers one year before you did Jack.” Jacob says Sternly. “Come on Eliza, let's go to lunch.” We walk away. After we eat lunch we go outside. Once we got to a wall I put him on the wall and say “what were you thinking.” “What do you mean?” Jacob says? “I’m not good at my fire powers yet. you lied straight to Jack's face, if he fights me he'll expect me to use fire that I’m not ready for, I’m dead.” “O……”Jacob says “I didn't think of it that way.” “No der, that came up straight obvious. you can't just go around saying things that aren't true Jacob.” “Eliza, did you see the look on his face when I told him you have fire powers he was scared.” “yeah but if he finds out I don't have fire powers he will have nothing to be scared about.” “I'm sorry Eliza I wasn't thinking straight.” “It's okay.” I say. “we're going to the beach tomorrow with me and my family. you can come if your dad allows you.” “I'll ask him for you.” I say. When I get home I enter the door and dad is waiting on the couch for me. “Dad, I have a question for you.” “shoot.” he says. “Jacob's family and him are going to the beach tomorrow, so can I come with them?” “Of course you can. After you finish your math homework.” “Thanks Dad.” I say and I run up to my room to prepare. when I went to bed I was so excited. Halfway through the night I heard something on my window, so I opened it. Jacob was standing at the bottom of the tree. “what do you want.” I whisper. “I want to go for a walk.” Jacob says “I need to talk to you about something.” “I'll be right down.” I say. I get dressed and jump into the tree. Then I jumped down. we start walking down the street. “So what is it you wanted to talk to me.” I say to Jacob. “Well my birthday is coming up and I'm going to have a party at my house you want to come?” Jacob asked. “I'll ask my dad. Also he said yes on the beach tomorrow, I'll meet you there.” “Nope” Jacob says. “I'm coming to pick you up.” “Okay.” I say. when we get back to the house I jump back up to my tree and into my room. I start to Drift Off to Sleep my eyes close to Darkness. When I wake up I remember Jacob is picking me up. I got dressed in my bathing suit and grabbed a towel and a hair brush, shoved it in a bag and grabbed a book. “By Dad.” I say “Jacob's here.” “okay by Eliza be home before dark.” When we get to the beach I run down and Jacob immediately jumps in the water. I sit down on the sand and open the book. Jacob comes out of the water and says “Really you came here to read a book?” “Not really I say but books are always good on the beach.” “come on.” He put the book back in the bag and grabbed me and tossed me into the water. “Fine” I say, submitting. “Stay here.” I said to Jacob. I go to the cliff above the water. That's like 400 feet. I looked down and dived right in. I swim down to the bottom of the beach. There's a sand dollar on the bottom. I grab it and bring it back up. It has like a pinkish color to it. “Here.” I said to Jacob “Have a sand dollar.” Then I swim far far out to where the waves are huge. Jacob follows me but he has no idea what I'm doing. Then I dive under the water and swim back up. “Stay here.” I said to Jacob “I'll be right back.” I dive under the water going deep and deep and deeper. once I reach the bottom. I push off the bottom and I swim and swim with all my might I shoot out of the water and dive right back in. when I turn around Jacob's not there I don't see him. I dive underwater for a second to look for him. I turn around four times to make sure he's somewhere around me. I dive back up to the surface and he is still not there. I go to Jenifer and say “your son's missing. I can't find Jacob.” They all fan out searching for him. Then I dive underwater one more time. I see him and he looks like he's trying to catch something. I swim up to him. Then something shoots past me. I spin in a circle trying to figure out what it was. I turned back to Jacob and he's fighting with something. Not something, someone. I swim up to him and grab him off Jacobs back. I turn his body so I can see who it is. It's Jack and he was fighting with Jacob underwater. I pulled him off Jacobs' back one more time as he reached for him. Then I punch him right in the face. I motion to Jacob to go up to the surface. Jacob swims up really fast. I start fighting with Jack and he starts pulling me under water where I cannot swim up to get more air. Then Jacob Dives underwater and tries to help me. I shake my head no because I don't want him to get hurt. Jack started dragging me down, and I kicked him in the face. He let go. I start swimming up. Then I got caught on something. seaweed is stuck around my leg. I tried getting it off before Jack grabbed me. Too late Jack grabs me and starts tugging me down. Then I get really really mad and I start trying to push him back with my hands. All of a sudden a wave of water grabs me and throws me around underwater. Flailing I swim up to the surface. “Grab my hand.” Jacob says. I was close to grabbing it. Then Jack grabbed me. I scream in surprise. Jacob dives in, he grabs me and helps me swim. When we get to the surface. We swim to the sand, but Jack grabs me and makes my head hit a rock underwater. My eye’s start to close. Breath escaping me. Before my eyes close I see Jacob fighting. He pushed Jack far away with a wave. Then swims up. My eyes shut. “Where's Eliza?” he says. “She hasn't come up yet.” They say. He dives back in and sees me on the ocean floor. He grabs my hand, and pulls me up. “Take her!” he says. Jacob gives me cpr. It doesn't work. He tries again. I cough and start breathing again. I started panting because I didn't get a lot of breath down there. Jenifer comes over to me and says “you oka?” “Well we know Jack is consistent.” I say. “we should probably get you home.” Aqua says. Jacob drove me home. Dad was sitting on the couch watching TV. Jacob helps me up to my room. “stay here I'm going to go get dressed.” I tell him. Once I'm done getting dressed, I sit on the bed and Jacob sits next to me. “When are you going to tell your dad about Jack.” Jacob says. “I don't know.” I said “My dad would be furious if he knew Jack was attacking me now and then.” I say. Just then my dad bursts through the door and says “Jack has been attacking you?”

Seeing my past.

my mouth drops open “Dad I”….. “Answer the question!” he says “Has Jack been attacking you?” He interrupts. “Yes I say that's why I was in a cast, that's why I'm late and that's why I wanted to punch him in school.” my Dad gives me an angry look, “what about the rule we don't lie to each other. Does that mean nothing to you now.” My dad says. no. “It's just………I don't want to hear another word of it,” he interrupts me. “you're not the boss of me anymore, I'm not a little girl. I am 18, not 2.” “I'm still your father,” he says. “ You are not my father. And if you were You're not acting like family and understanding me. Put yourself in my shoes if someone was attacking you day after day how would you be able to tell your parents, they would say you're crazy, you're crazy. you know what charlie I'm out of here.” I slam the door in his face. I grabbed a bag and stuffed it with A jar with 200 dollars I was saving for a car. 10 pairs of clothes. I shoved my phone in the bag too. Then I rushed downstairs, grabbed a bunch of snacks and shoveled them in my bag. I grabbed the fire necklace that I got from my mom, and a picture of charlie. “you're not serious are you. Eliza?” Jacob says. “Dead serious.” I say. “This is your home.” He says “you've lived here since you were little.” he adds. “I'm done living in the same exact spot.” I say. I grabbed my pocket knife and shoved it into my bag. “I'm coming with you”. Jacob says. “Stop by my house. I'll grab a few things and we can go.” he says. “fine.” I say. “but you're going to get in a lot of trouble for it.” “I don't care.” he says. I run back downstairs, open the fridge, grab 20 bottles of water and stick it in my bag. Then I grabbed tuna packets, bread, some lasagna in some Tupperware, and some pop. Then I walk straight out the door. Jacob follows me, he gets in my car, and we drive to his house. when we get there I leave my stuff in the car except for the keys. They let us in. He explains to his parents that he is coming with me and they let him. well he's packing his stuff upstairs, they pack food for him. I follow him up to his room. His room has blue on the walls with a blue bed. “Nice room.” I say. “Thanks.” he says. He packs his necklace with the pendant on it, his pocket knife, his driver's license, his wallet with money in it, He also packs pictures of his family. Then he goes to the wall. He pushes a certain place in the wall. It opends. He grabs a box. “What's in the box?” I ask. “Something helpful.” He answers me. He takes out a bottle. That is tiny, it has some sort of liquid in it that is red. “what is it?” I ask again. “A liquid that with one drop can heal anything.” he says as he puts it in his coat pocket. “Cool.” I say. “Yeah.” he says. We walk out to the car. When we drive away, someone starts following us. “Don't look now but someone's following us.” Jacob says. I look out the mirror. “It's jack.” I say. “Oh no.” Jacob starts. “Hold on.” I say. Jacob grabs the door. I turn very sharp. “Open the glove compartment.” I say. He does. Then there are buttons. “Push the green one.” I yell. “Which one?” Jacob says. There are 7 different green buttons. I watched Jack through the mirror, as he pulled out a gun. Jack shoots. He hits the back window and it shatters. “PUSH THE GREEN BUTTON! THE GREEN BUTTON ON THE LEFT!” I scream. He does. We disappear from Jack's sight. “UGG” Jack yells. Then I pull off. We wait. Jack keeps driving. He passes us. “Wow.” Jacob says. “How did you figure that one out?” He adds. “I found those buttons and tried them. Cool huh?” I said. “Definitely.” He says. We drove off to a hotel. We park and turn visible. I rent out a room with two beds, for a night. We walk up to the room. It's huge. We talk for hours, before going to bed. Then we get tired. Then we watch a movie before bed. I fall asleep halfway through the movie. Jacob puts me to bed. And says, “Good night Eliza.” Then silence. When I Wake up, Jacob is not in the room. Then Jacob burst through the room with a bunch of food. “Good morning Eliza I brought you breakfast.” He says. He almost trips on the carpet. I grab some food before it spills. “You should have woken me up so I could help you get the food.” I complain. “No, you were really tired last night. I wanted to let you sleep. Going home now? Just a one-day run away?” He says. “Nope I say I'm never going back.” “you're really never going back?” he says. “Never!” I say. “I want to take you someplace.” Jacob says. we get dressed and pack our things and meet out by the car. Once we get in the car we drive really really far. we are like out in the middle of nowhere. “where are we?” I asked Jacob. He parks and gets out of the car. “Follow me.” he says. He keeps walking and walking. Then we get to a cliff. “Put on your necklace.” he says. I put on my necklace. He puts on his necklace and walks forward and disappears. I gasped, “Jacob, where'd you go.” “Walk Forward.” I hear his voice but I don't see him. “Are you sure.” I yell? Then his hand sticks out in the middle of nowhere. “Grab my hand.” He says. “I'm trusting you Jacob,” as I grabbed his hand. He pulls me. Then we appear in some Village. “wow.” I say. My necklace starts to Glow. I take it off and look at it,......”wait no!” Jacob says. In 3 seconds The Shield pushes me out and I go flying. I hit the car with a hard thud. My necalice goes flying. There is a dent in my car. My side hurts as I try to stand up. I fall back down, it hurts a lot. Jacob comes out of the forcefield and walks over to me and says, “Are you okay?” “No, I’m totally ok because I didn't just go flying into my car and dented it!” I yell. He laughs. “Are you ok tho?” He asks. “I think I bruised a rib.” I say. “I should have told you the rules.” Jacob says. “Never take off your necklace is the first rule. The Shield that protects the town only lets the ones who wear their necklaces in.” “No...really?” I say. “You should have told me that before I walked in and took off my necklace.” I say. “Maybe I should have.” Jacob says. “Put your necklace back on.” he says. “I can't find it.” He looks around and finds it. I put it on and we walked back through the forcefield. When we walk back in we start walking through the town everybody stops and stares at me. “Why is everybody staring at me?” I whisper to Jacob. “You have your mother's eyes. The queen had the most pretty emerald eyes and you have her eyes so they recognize that from you and they know you are the Queen's daughter. Let's go up to the mountain where she ruled and where……….she died.” we got to the stairs we looked up and there were about 400 stairs. “That's a lot of stairs.” I say. 14 minutes later. we finally reached the top and I basically collapsed on my knees. I'm panting as I'm out of breath. There was a great ginormous Castle. we walk in the castle and walk down the hall. In front of us was the Throne of my mother. We walk down the hall and turn to the left there are many many rooms. there was a room next to it with fire on the door. I slowly opened the door, and it looks like it was my room when I was a baby. I walked into the room looking around, something caught my eye. It was a fire symbol on a ring. It was a locket ring. I open it, a hologram of my mother and father appears with music. A short little song starts to sing. I start to remember. I sing along. Love is red, your eyes are green, I like family, But not as much as I love you! Oh darling, You're the most loving princess to ever walk Xaviea. Oh my darling. My darling. I close the ring. I stick the ring in my pocket as I want to take it home. We go out to the balcony. and there is a bird on the porch. It runs up to me and grabs me and sticks me on its back, And runs around. Jacob whistles a high note and the bird sits down. I fell off the bird and ran over by Jacob. “what is that.” I say “Phoe phoe. stands for Phoenix Phoenix. She's your royal bird.” Jacob pushes me towards phoe phoe. The bird runs up to me and snuggles around me. “when she lost your mother she decided you were her new owner and was so excited to meet you.” Jacob said. “There is someone else you need to meet.” Jacob adds. “No more.” I say. “You will like this.” Jacob whistles a tune. I hear a noise. Then smoke surrounds me. Phoe phoe backs up.…..then I'm grabbed. I don't see what I was grabbed by. I’m looking around. Then red skin starts showing. Then I see claws clamped around my waist. “It's a dragon.” I Yell. The dragon looks down at me. Then I scream, “WATCH OUT!” to the dragon. The dragon does not have enough time to turn. We crash into the rocks in front of us. “Eliza!” Jacob yells. Starts running down the stairs. Phoe phoe grabs Jacob and takes him down to the place where we crashed. “Eliza!” Jacob yells once more. I groan. Jacob runs over to me. “You ok?” He says. I stand up. “Yeah I'm ok.” “No you're not.” Jacob says. Looking at my forehead. “What?” I say. “There is blood coming from your forehead.” He grabs the bottle, That can heal anything. He raises it about to pour a drop on my head. “No.” I say. “It's just a scratch.” I reach into my pocket. Pull out a band-ade. I Put it on my head. “See.” I say “All better.” This is your fighting dragon. Ash. I step back to look at her. Ash is a blood red dragon, horns that are the size of tall carrots. She has wings that are a shade of a bright orange. She has the coolest tail. Her tail has a spike in the middle. I think she is cool. I go up to her and say, “I am Eliza.” Ash leans down and grabs me with her hand and flies towards the balcony. Phoe phoe grabs Jacob and follows. Then they drop me and Jacob. “Ow.” I say to the dragon. Ash growls. Phoe phoe starts walking away. She walks up to the stairs and up to the second balcony. I follow her. Then she stops. She stepped aside for me to see what she's looking at. I gasp. My eyes filled with tears. It was my mother, the water Queen, the Earth Queen and the wind Queen all dead on the top balcony.


chapter 11
taking over the kingdom
I start walking towards my mother. Jacob walks up to the top balcony and sees what I'm seeing. I kneel next to my mother and start crying. I look at her necklace and it's a locket. I open the locket and have a picture of a little girl, and the name Emberleigh Burn. “Who is Emberleigh Burn?” I asked Jacob. “You are.” Jacob says. “no way I'm Eliza.” I say “That's not your real name.” Jacob says “Your dad named you that.” Jacob walks past me and grabs the crown that is on the ground, and gives it to me. “you are now the queen of Xaviea.” The heart of dragon onyx. “Queen Emberleigh.” He bows. “Phoenix.” I say as the bird walks in front of me. “lead me to the letter room.” She leads me down the stairs to the left and then to the right and then straight and down three more stairs. I take a piece of paper and write on the paper, “Dear people of Xaviea, I invite you all to the castle for a meeting to tell you something very very important. you all must meet me here this afternoon at 12 Sharp. Also any of the Queen's helpers need to report to the castle immediately. Sincerely Emberleigh.” Phoenix take this letter to the town and nails it on the wall everybody needs to see it. Phoenix grab the letter and flies to town. In a couple of minutes about 20 people arrived at the castle. “Are you the Queen's helpers.” I asked. “yes.” they all reply “What did you call us for?” I need you all to make me look like a queen. They lead me into the Queen's bedchamber. They pull out a small red jeweled dress. “Put the dress on, we will get your shoes, do your hair and make sure you look like a queen.” I get dressed and walk out to see jacob. “Tada.” I say to Jacob. “It's time.” The helper says. I go to the balcony and there are thousands of people down there. Everyone gasps. “I am Emberleigh. Daughter of queen Hestia. My mother.” The crowd gasps. “I know my mother died along with the three other leaders. my mother would have wanted me to be Queen so as of now I'm the queen of Fire. The crowd cheers. I'm holding a feast in Celebration. Come inside everyone.” I called out loud for Phoenix to come get me. I sit on phoenix and she takes me down. I walk into the Castle along with everybody. Jacob meets me down there. In the middle of the feast the doors burst open. Jack is standing in the middle of the doorway. “Hello.” Jack says “Nice to see you again.” “It's never nice to see you Jack.” I say. I get out of my seat and walk all the way down, the guards follow me with their hands on their swords. “How did you get in?” I ask. “I'm smart and took my old pendant with me.” I looked at him. Then at his pendent. It was a wind symbol. “Didn't you ever wonder how I ever got in in the first place, to kill your mom? I was born here. I was the royal Sorceress. My real name is miku” he says “Miku? I laughed at him. I am going to keep calling you Jack.” Jack swung at me and he missed. I swing at him and he ducks. I miss him but when he stands up I punch him in the nose. “That was for my mother,” I punched him again, “That was for hurting me,” and I punched him again and he went unconscious. “That was for the other leaders.” I say. Everybody cheers. “Guards I want him in the deepest prison chained up very good with a high watch.” “yes ma'am.” they say and take him. “Jack is chained up and he has nothing to escape with.” The crowd cheers very very loudly. “I am confiscating everything he has in his pockets.” I say, “Gards confiscate his stuff.” I say. “yes ma'am.” They say as they go down to the dungeon.

chapter 12
The Stick of power
Jack groans. Jack has 2 Chainz each on his arm 2 Chainz each on his legs and a chain around his chest. “Good you're awake.” says the guard. “The queen wants to talk to you and she will be down here in a minute so you better be nice.” I walk downstairs and Jack is chained. “like your cell?” I say “It's the biggest.” “It's just the best he says especially with all these chains.” He says “oh good I really wanted to impress you.” I say. “Haha.” he says sarcastic. “what is this?” I asked Jack. I was holding a big staff with a crystal ball at the top. “I won't say a word.” Jack says. “Fine.” I say “Until you tell me what this is you get no food or water.” I walk upstairs with the staff. “Guard.” I say to one of the guards sitting next to my throne. “Go get the wisest person in town.” “Yes ma'am.” he says. a couple minutes later a man with glasses and a blue robe comes up to me. “Your highness.” he says “You ask for me?” “yes I did.” I say “I need you to figure out what this is immediately.” “yes ma'am.” he says and takes it to the library. In a couple of hours he asked me to come to the library. “What did you find?” “This is a stick of power. These are very rare. This is how he took the power away from your mother and the three leaders and then killed them with it. It channels the power of what he takes away. When he took your mother's power away, there's fire power in here. With this you can take the whole entire power of the world. The reason why Jack didn't want you to touch that is because if he sold his soul to it if you crack it it will kill him and bring back the people that the staff killed.” My mother!” I say “we need to crack it right away so my mother can come back to life.” “but…..” he said “If you crack it and his soul is not attached to it he'll stay alive, but your mother will come back to life.” “I want to speak to Jack right away. I'm taking the staff with me.” I marched down to the dungeon and said, “so I figured out this is the staff of power. I'm just going to crack it so no one could ever use it.” “No!” he screams. “why not.” I say “It's just a staff and I'm just going to break it so no one can use it.” “No please, I'm begging you.” Jack pleaded. “I'll think about it.” I say. I walk back up to the throne room and stick it next to my throne and call the wisest man back to me. “He doesn't want me to break it.” I say. “Maybe that's because he is attached to it.” the wise man says. “but let me do a little bit more studying.” He says “I just want to make sure.” “okay.” I say and I give it to him to go study back in the library. As he walks away I whisper to the guard, “watch him I don't want anybody breaking that, and if he's on Jack's team I want to make sure he doesn't use it for his own good.” “yes ma'am.” he says and follows the wise man. “I guess we'll have to wait a little longer to bring my mother back to life.” I say. “Guards.” I say. A gard runs up to me. “Your majesty?” The guard says. “Find the closest relatives to the queens that died.” “yes mam.” he walks away. In 20 minutes Two guards bring in 2 teen agers. Immediately I gasp. “Why is Jacob here?” I say. “He is the prince of water. One guard says.” “No way. The water queen's child was killed.” I say. “No because apparently his sister was killed, not him. He is the prince of water. His real name is Ervastath.” I get off the fire throne and bow to Jacob. “Prince Ervastath.” I say.



Chapter 13
Traders

I walk across to the nexed teen ager. I bow to her. “You are?” I ask. “I'm Ivy. I am the Earth queen's sister’s daughter.” the girl says. “It's nice to meet you.” I say. Then I walk in front of a space that's empty. “Where is the wind relative?” The guards walked him in and held him in front of me. “what is your name?” I ask. He trys shaking off the guards but they hold on. “Skye. My name is skye. I am the cousin of the child of the queen. Now tell your guards to let me go.” “In a second. Would you tell me why they had to drag you in?” I ask. “No.” skye says. “Gards explain.” I said. “He stole food and when we confronted him he punched a soldier.” I step closer to the skye. “I do not like thieves. You all will stay here.” I say to the relatives of the queens. “Why?” says skye. “Because I want you to live in comfort, till we figure out what to do with jack.” Skye tries shaking off the guards again. “Let skye go.” I say. The guards take off his cuffs. “Guards take them to their rooms, and watch this one he looks a little untrusty. I was pointing to skye. I need to talk to the wise man.” I walk in the library. The books are everywhere. It looks like a tornado went through here. “Where is the man who has the staff of power?” Then the wise man comes running. “Your majesty?” “What happened.” I yell. Pointing at the library. “I don't know.” He says. “I went to lunch and then came to you yelling for me.” “Well find that staff or so help me,YOU WILL BE JOINING HIM IN THE DUNGEON! I Yell. Now tell me your name.” I say. “My name is m-max s-slunder.” “Max slunder.” I say. “Clean this up as you look for the staff.” “I walk away.” “Jack time to break you out.” Max says. Max carefully walked with the staff down to the dungeon. He knocks the guards out and BOOM lets Jack out. “Thanks max.” Jack says. “Does she know?” Jack says. “That we have her father for a bargaining chip, no she doesn't know.” “Let's go see how he is doing.” 5 miles out of the kingdome. “Come on max.” 4 stairs down Into the ground. “Hello, Apollo. Take the gag out max.” Jack says. “How are you Apollo?” Jack askes. “Not going to say anything? Pity jack says. Well we will see you after we kill your daughter Emberleigh.” “Wait!” Apollo says. “I thought She died.” “Well she is about to.” Jack says. “See you later we have to go see the 3 other kings. Then off to kill your daughter. By.” Jack says. “No leave her alone!” Apollo says. Knock. Knock. “What is it now.” skye says, as he opens the door. “Oh It's you.” “Has there been others?” “No.” he says quickly. “Ok.” I said suspiciously. “Well I wanted to give you this.” I step aside to let three trays of food come in. “wow. Thanks. “Wait what's the catch.” skye says. “Nothing just if we need to fight Jack, there is now way you will stay alive that skinny.” “Oh thanks.” He says. I start walking out, when he says “wait. I have something to tell you. Your father is alive and I've known you for the year.” He says. “WHAT?!” I say echoing into the hall. I take A breath and walk towards the sky, and say “Good night.” He looks at me confused. Then I punch him in the face. Then I say “My father is alive!!!” When Skye woke up he was tied to his bed post. “Ahh.” he screamed as he turned and saw me looking at him. “Tell me who told you my father was alive.” I say not blinking, not moving at all. “No.” he says. “Tell me!” I yell at skye. “NO.” he says. “Tell me!” I say. “Tell me who told you that he was alive and tell me where my father is.” “Nope” he says. “You have 10 hours to tell me or no food or water for 2 days.” He looks at me and says “I will never tell you.” I come closer to Skye's face and say “You will, eventually.” I walk out of the room slamming the doors. Skye yells behind the doors, “Untie me!” “nope.” I say. I walk to the throne room and I don't sit. I pace, and pace, and pace.

10 hours later.

Jacob comes to visit me. I was still pacing back and forth. “Eliza?” He says as he sees me pacing. I look at him and say “Hi,” and continue pacing. “What are you pacing for?” He asks. “My father is alive.” I say. “Skye knows who told him and where my father is, but won't tell me.” “Oh.” Jacob says. Ding, Ding. My time goes off. I storm up to Skye's room. Jacob followed me. I slam the doors open. “Ahh!” Skye says. “Won't you knock next time.” He yelled. “NO.” I say. “It has been 10 hours. Now tell me. Where is my father, and who told you!!!” I yell. “Never!” He says. “Tell me!” I yell. “Never!” he yells, “I would rather Die!” That can be arranged. I look at him and smile. I Unlock the side of the cuff that is cuffed to his bed poll. Dragging him with me. When I get to The balcony, Ash is there. I whistle and Ash grabs him and holds him off the balcony. “Ahh!” he screams. “Put me on the ground!” he screams. “Not Until you tell me where he is!!!” I scream. “PUT ME DOWN!” he screams. “NEVER!” I say. Jacob runs in front of me and says “Eliza Calm down! Put him down!” I whistle to Ash and she puts him back on the balcony. Skye pants. I glare at him. “I am so sorry.” Jacob says to skye. “She is crazy, I would rather let her father die.” Skye says. As skye Stands up still cuffed, I charge at him and knock him and me off the balcony. He starts to scream. I whistle to Ash She grabs Skye. She tried to grab me, But I hit the ground. Surprising I did not break anything. Ash lands beside me, with sky in her hands. She puts him down. Skye starts walking up to me as I stand up. “You ok?” He says. I turn around and attack him. I knocked him to the ground, trying to punch him in the face. “Quit it!” He screams. Jacob finally gets down to us. I have Skye pinned to the ground, trying to hit him as he stops me with his hands. Jacob has to pull me off of skye. I fight as hard as I can to punch skye. “Eliza!” Jacob says trying to get my Attention. I pushed Jacob off me, and ran after skye. Jacob runs after me. I grab skye. I push him to the ground. Jacob tries to pull me off him, but I burn his hand, from me being mad. Skye gets away. I Throw a fireball. He falls and cries in pain. His knee is bleeding. I raise my hands as I am Making the biggest fireball. Right when I threw the fire ball at the skye, Jacob jumped in front of skye. He raised a water wall to protect skye. When the fireball dies from hitting the water wall. Jacob makes me soaking wet so I can not use my powers. I am still mad so I lunged at Skye and Jacob pushed me back trying to stop me from hurting skye. “Eliza!” Jacob screams. “He is not worth It. We will find your dad. I promise.” Jacob says. “NO you won't.” skye says. “Jack is going to kill all the fathers of each element. Your dad is there too Jacob.” Skye says. Jacob lunges at skye I grab him. “Jacob!” I yell. “It's not worth it.” Jacob walks over to skye helps him up, and helps him to the castle. I whistle to phoenix, she grabs me and takes me up to the balcony. The next day I felt sorry for skye. Knock Knock. “Come in.” Skye says. I walk in and say “Hi.” “Don't kill me.” skye says. “I wont I actually have something for you.” I walk out into the hallway and push an “I'm sorry” cake into his room. “I’m sorry.” I say. “I was just so mad.” “NO, I'm sorry.” Skye says. “I should have not said that about your father.” Jacob walks by and sees us talking. He walks in and says, “No killing each other?” “Nope.” I say. “I will tell you where your father is. He is in the caves above the hill.” “You little trader!” we Hear someone say. We all turn to see Jack and Max. “Max? You were working with him?” I Say. “Yes, I was and we have the stick of power. We are going to use it to kill your father. And yours pointing at jacob. But first we will kill you, pointing at Me!” As a lighting bolt shoots across the room towards me, Jacob jumps in front of me and does a water wall. It hits the water shield and electrocutes Jacob. It also cracks the shield and Jacob falls on the floor. Another lightning bolt shoots across the room aiming for skye. I jump in front of skye and I Put up a fire shield. It is trying to go through the shield, and I am holding up the shield as much as possible. It pushes harder on the shield. My shield starts to flicker. “Ha Ha she doesn't have enough power to save herself, or her friends.” Jack says. “You are wrong. I can save myself and my friends.” I start walking while I have the shield up. I see Jacob stand up watching me. “I will never give up. I will take you down.” When I said that last word I pushed the shield towards Jack and Max and it exploded. It blew Jacob and Skye to the ground, and me into the wall. Jack stood up and said, “We will save you kids for last so we will have enough power to kill you.” He slams the door and locks it. “NO!” I scream! I try burning the door. But it just won't work. I break the glass. I stick my head out the window and climb out. “Come on.” I say to Jacob and skye. They follow. Then I whistle a high note and coming our way is Ash. We were standing on the edge of the roof. “Ash over here.” I yell. Suddenly the edge that I am standing on falls. “Ahhh” I scream. “Ash hurry.” Jacob yells. I try holding on but I’m sliping. “I’m sliping.” I yell. I slip. And start falling. I scream. Ash dives. She catches me before I hit the ground. We go over to the guys. Skye, Jacob get on. They hop on. Hold on. “Ash take us to Jack, fast!” I yell. “I see them.” I yell. I stand up and jump off Ash. skye and Jacob are watching. Ash lands. They run towards where I'm falling. I landed on jack. “Give me that.” I take the staff. Then I turn to see skye, Jacob running towards me. Jack takes the staff from me when I'm not looking. Jack says “where is charlie? Why is he not here? I’ll tell you the reason he is not her because he doesn't love you!” “No that is not true.” Jacob says. “Yes it is, or he would be here. He is still mad at you for lying. He will never forgive you.” Jack says. I turn and look at Jacob. I start turning to ice. “Eliza it is not true! Don't listen to him. The reason why he is not here is because he doesn't know where it is. He dose forgive you.” I was almost covered in ice. “Jacob.” I whispered. Then I was covered in Ice. Jack says “GONE,” and he vanishes. Also max dose too.” NO.” Jacob says. He walked to the cave. When They get into the caves, They can't find the keys. “Where are the keys?” Jacob says. “Jack hid them.” The earth king said. “I know!” Skye says. He circles his finger in a tornado motion. A tornado rips through the caves and brakes the bars. “Nice one.” Jacob says. They run outside and the statue of Eliza is gone. “Where is Eliza?” Jacob says. “There!” Skye yells as he points to the balcony. And the spot jack, max and Eliza. “we have to get up there fast or Eliza will stay covered in ice forever.” The wind king says. The 4 kings whistle and 4 dragons come. Grabbing the 4 kings. Jacob whistles. Phoe phoe and Ash come. “You ride Ash.” Jacob says to skye. “Ok.” he says. They follow. When they get up there Jack grabs Eliza and holds her on the edge of the castle. “Stop or I will drop her.” They all stop. Jacob and Skye stop in mid air. “Oh who am I kidding!” Jack says as he pushes Eliza off the cliff. “NO.” Jacob yells! “Dive Ash!” Skye tells her. Jacob jumps off phoe phoe and lands on jack. He attacks him. Jack disappears along with max. Hopefully this time for good. “He will be back.” the water king says. As for you he points to Jacob, “I have a son”! He says hugging him. “Eliza!” Jacob says He’s running down the stairs, as he looks at Eliza falling through the air. “Grab her Ash.” Jacob yells. Ash was getting farther and farther as Eliza fell. “Hurry Ash!” Jacob screams, still running towards Eliza. Then, BOOM! Tiny bits of dirt and ground flew everywhere. Jacob stopped running because dust got in his eye. “NO!” Jacob screamed. Running towards where she fell. “No!” he muttered as he ran. When he got to where she fell, Skye looked at him with a sad face. “No!” She must be alive. Jacob says. He looks down. There are shards everywhere. The only peace that was intact was her face. He picked it up and muttered, “No.” By the time the kings arrived at the shattered pieces of Eliza, Jacob was on his knees. They gathered around Eliza. Jacob stayed on the ground. He looked at the shattered remains of eliza with tears. He just lost his best friend. Some wind was circling around Jacob and the Remains of Eliza. Then all the pieces started putting themself back together. Jacob let go of the peace of Eliza he had, And it floated back together. Once they were all fixed he stood up and watched the statue. One the wind stopped, the statue froze and exploded. In the middle of the ground was Eliza. She was laying down, like she passed out. Jacob started to walk up to her when she woke up and sat up and saw everyone staring at her. Jacob was the first one to run up to her and hug her. “Oh.” she said. “You ok?” she looked at him. “I’m ok.” Jacob says. Skye ran up to Eliza, and hugged her too. “Wow Lots of hugs today. Did I miss something?” I say. “You missed a lot.” Jacob says. “Oh.” I say. “By the way, do you know what healed her? Jacob asked looking around at everyone. Then everyone clears the path as my dad starts walking towards me. “Hi dad.” I say as my eyes fill with tears. I hug him. We hug for a couple of minutes. He steps back and looks at me. “You look just like your mother.” He says. My eyes fill with tears again. I want to prepare for war. Bring everyone from every magical kingdom here to fight. Jack is going down.


Chapter 14
The gathering of armies
I stayed up all night watching for danger on the balcony. When Jacob comes up to vits me I am asleep, leaning against the wall. “Eliza.” Jacob says trying to wake me up. “Eliza!” He says a little louder. I wake up and make a fire shield around me and jacob. “What was the danger?” I asked him. “Nothing.” He says. “Oh.” I say and stop the shield. “Sorry.” I said. “It's ok.” Jacob says. “You need sleep.” he adds. “No I don't.” I said. “You were awake all night. You need sleep.” He says. “Fine, I will go to sleep.” Then I exit. And go to my room and sleep. When I was sleeping, Fighters from all across the world with powers arrived. Wind, Fire, Earth and Water. Almost close to a million. When I woke up there were many people in the ballroom. And Each leader of the Army was Ahead of the whole group. I walked up to where I was seen by everyone. “Attention everyone.” I said. Everyone kept talking. “SHUT IT!” Ivy yells. Everyone stops talking. “Thankyou Ivy. Ok you all know jack”………….“BOO!” They shouted Interrupting me. “He killed the queens of each element. I know how to get them back. But we go my plan. If you disobey me you will be sent to the dungeon.” I say. “Why should we listen to you?” Someone says. Everyone clears a path so I can see who said it. “What is your name?” I ask. “I am Thunder.” he says. I start walking to him. “Well thunder, I am the daughter of the fire queen. I also have seen what powers jack holds, so if you do not be carefull you will end up like the four queens, dead!” I say to him. “I am the only one that has survived Jack's power. I was turned into a statue of ice and broken and survived. I know what losing a family means. I lost my mom. That is the risk you are taking. If you want to return home and not face what is ahead I understand.” I turned and watched everyone. Someone walked forward. “I want to go home to my children.” A man said. It was a 40 year old man. “I understand.” I said. “How old are they?” I asked. “One is 12 And the other is 3.” He replied. “Go home to them and live your life.” I bowed to him. He walked away. Everyone watched. “Anyone else?” I say. No one else. Then I walk around. “I know this is scary for some. You don't know what will happen. I know one thing: If you get killed by Jack you will come back to life when I kill him. They cheered. I need some people to stand guard.” 40 hands raised. I told them their positions. When I was sleeping, There was a bang on the door. I rushed to the door. “They are here mam. Jack's army.” He says. “Get everyone ready now!” I tell him. I get changed. I rush to the balcony. “Canon’s ready.” I yell. “Fire.” I yell. They shot and hit the dragon Jack was riding. Then jacks army shot canons. It hit near me. People were hurt. “Jacob!!!” I scream. He runs out. Make a water shield all around us! “Ok.” he says. “Get the hurt inside.” I say to the guards. “But your Highness?...” They say. “NOW!!!” I say. “Ok.” they say dragging the hurt inside. Jack’s dragon shoots fire at Jacob's shield and breaks it. “Good Job spike.” Jack says to his dragon. His dragon shoots again, this time hitting the balcony and burning my arm. I scream in pain. “Fire!” Jacob and Jack say at the same time. Jack's fire ball hits the balcony again, knocking me out. Jacob was stunned. Jacobs fire ball hits jacks dragon, and Jack falls off and spike catches him. They turn back. “They are turning back!” The soldiers cry. Jacob becomes un-stuned. He looks over at me, my eyes hurting and my are bleeding. “Help!” Jacob cries. Soldiers run over to me. “It's the queen.” My eyes were closing. Before my eyes closed, I heard, “Get her help.” Jacob yells. “Get her to the hospital.” one soldier says. “You're going to be ok!” Jacob says to me. Then Darkness closed on me. When I woke up The first person I saw was Jacob. He was asleep in the chair next to me. I quietly got my new pair of cloth’s someone brought, and when to change. Once I changed, I walked out of the hospital. Soldiers followed me. They did not want me to get hurt. I went to see the Injured soldiers. When I entered the room with the soldiers, the room was filled. I walk down the hall. Looking beside me at the injured soldiers. One soldier in particular was crying out on pain. I waked up to him. “What is wrong with him?” I ask the doctor. “He is suffering. He is going to die. We are going to put him down.” The doc says. I look at his burns. Then I look at his crying family next to him. “Don't put him out yet.” I say to the doc. “I know how to fix him.” I run out of the room and run to where Jacob is sleeping. I woke him up, reached into his pocket and took the healing bottle out and ran out towards the building with the soldier in it. “Eliza, where are you going?” He yells. He runs after me. When I get to the soldier, I move the doctors. “You will live.” I tell him. He smiles. “This might sting.” I say. I pour one drop on his burns. He winces. Then all of the blood disappears and so does the burns. Then he gets up and runs to his family and hugs them. I start crying tears of joy. He turns to me. “Thank you.” He says. “There is nothing I want more than to be with my family. How can I repay you.” He says. “There is nothing I want. Seeing you reunite with your family is the greatest gift.” “Pls name it.” he says. “Tell me your name.” I say. “I am Aaron, Meaning high mountain.” He says. “Aaron, I want you to go home.” I say “Um, your majesty, may we stay in your castle?” He asks. “May I ask why?” I say. “We have no home to go home to.” He says. “So…..”he urges. “No, you may not stay at my castle.” “But…”Jacob starts. “No buts….,they will not be staying at my castle,….because I am giving them enough money to build a new life for them. A new home.” “Thank You, your majesty.” He says. “You will live here in this town.” I say. “Until your house is built you will stay at the castle. Now you must go there now to find your rooms. Guard take them pls.” I say. “Yes mam.” he says and leads them away. Once They leave, I give Jacob his bottle back. “Here.” I say to him. He takes It as I walk away. I walk up to the balcony where my mom lays dead. “I miss you mom. I wish you were here.” “I wish she was too.” I turned and dad was behind me. I hug him and cry. “I miss her dad. I will make sure she comes back. If it is the last thing I do.” I said.



Chapter 15
Finding Jack’s base

All night I was up watching, even though I was supposed to sleep. I couldn't sleep after what happened yesterday. “I need to find Jack's base.” I says to myself. I walk down to my room. Grabbing a bag and stuffing it with my knife, and my Amulet. I also took some food, water and health supplies. I also took spy glasses. I shove it in my bag and hide them as I write a letter. As I'm writing the letter, Skye burst through the door. “Oh good you're here. I thought you disappeared.” He said. He saw my bag. “No Eliza don't go.” He says. “I have to find his baise. I'm sorry.” He says, “Then I'm coming.” He says. “You can't go alone. You will die.” “Fine.” I say. “Go to your room and pack. Meet me here when you're done.” He rushes off. I finished writing the letter. Then waited. Skye rushed to my room. Come I say. We jump out the window onto the roof. I whistle a high whistle. Ash comes along, with a wind dragon. “This is your dragon.” I say to Skye. “Cool.” he says. “What is his name?” Skye asks. “Name him.” I say to sky. I will call you “Therio. Meaning sky”. He says. “Nice.” I say to skye. Then he hops on. We fly the way Jack retreated. Then I start yawning. “You need sleep.” Skye says. “I don't need sleep.” I say in a yawn. “Ok. I am taking a short nap.” I say. Then I black out. 12 hours later. “Wow. Jack's baise is here.” skye says. “Eliza. Eliza!” Skye calls. “Ash will you wake her up.” Ash Tilts and I fall off. I start screaming. “Ash!” I scream. Then all of a sudden an orange dragon grabs me. “Ash!” I scream. She flys after me. “Help me!” I scream. They fly after me. “Hold on! Skye yells.” Skye makes a tornado and it does not affect the dragon. The dragon looks back and growls at Ash and Therio. He dives. Into a whole in the ground. Ash and Therio follow. “Hurry!” I yell. When the dragon carrying me gets in the whole He stops and flies in mid air. I look around and there are Dragons everywhere. I hear a whistle. The dragon holding me starts flying again. I looked behind me and it wasn't skye. Ash charges at the dragon holding me. He lets go of me. I was falling. I scream. “Fech.” skye said to Therio and he caught me. “Thanks.” I say. Then I look back at Ash she is holding down the dragons wings. I whistle Ash lets go of the dragon. She flies towards me and I jump onto her. “Let's get out of here.” I say to skye. He nodded. We start flying away, when something flew at Ash and hit her. Ash moaned then started falling. “Ash no!” I scream. We fall and hit the ground below. I roll. “Ash!” I ran towards her. I pulled out a dart in the side of her neck. Then people with masks appear around me, as Skye lands. The masks look like ancient totem pole people. They stare at me and Ash. “what did u do to her?” I say. “Sleeping dart.” They say. They hit Therio with one too. “No!” he says. Skye ran up to the person who shot Therio and was about to attack them when I grabbed him and stopped him. “Who are you?” I yell. They don't answer. They step aside for a person with a blue face mask to step forward. I assumed she was the leader. “Who are you!” I yell again. They try to hit me with a sleeping dart, when I raise a fire wall and protect me and Skye. “oooo!” They all say. She holds up a sword and sticks it through the fire wall it melts. She yelled a sentence that made no sense, “power in her forever” Then she said, “pls stop fire talk.” I stopped the fire wall but in a instint I was hit by a sleeping dart. I fell to the ground. Skye screams my name. I try getting up and walking to him, but the leader Puts her foot on me. She holds me down. I see skye trying to run to me, but people hit him with a sleeping dart too. “Skye!” I said in a hushed tone. Then BLACK.
Meanwhile back at the castle Jacob was knocking at my door. “Eliza!” He yells. He opened the door, and there was a letter on my bed. He picked it up and read the note. It said,
“Dear jacob,
I went on a mission to find Jack's baise. I took along with me Skye and Ash. I won't be long. Once we figure out where it is, how big his army is, we will be back to reporet. Take care of the kingdome. I put you incharge, I have the royal stamp on this, so you are legally in charge till I get back. Don't take it for granted. Love your friend Eliza. “I have to tell Charlie!” Jacob says running out of the room. When I woke up I screamed because The girl in the blue mask was staring at my face. I was tied upside down. Then she picked up my amulet. And shook it. “Pls be careful.” I said. “That is special. It's from my mom.” She cut the rope but held on to it and carefully let me down. “Where is my friend!” I demanded. She said, “ He tied up. And sleep.” When I got untied I grabbed my things the people were staring at, Put them back in my bag. And ran over to Skye. I shook him. “Hey wake up!” I said. He opened his eyes. “Oh….”he moaned. I untied him. “We must be going!” I say. They point spears at us. I touch them and they melt. Then I looked at the girl with the mask., and said “where are our dragons?” She pointed to the cages. There were dragons. In each cage. Then ours. We open the cage. The dragon ran out. They hug us. “Hi Ash.” I say. “WAIT!” Says the girl. “What is your name?” She says. “Eliza.” I say. “That is a weird name.” She says. I get off Ash and walk closer to her. “That is not my real name. My real name is prinses Emberleigh, daughter of Halaina.” The girl gasps. She takes off her mask. I see a brown headed girl that has red eyes. She looks About 2 years older than me. “Sister?” she says. I look at her, I faint. She screams. “Did I do that?” she says.

Chapter 16
Past about secret sister.
When I wake up The brown haired girl is staring at me again. I scream and punch her. Immediately I realized what I did. I ran over to her and helped her up. “I am so sorry. I live in a kingdom of war. It’s a reaction.” I say. “I understand.” She says. “So……..you're my sister?” I say confused. “Well I have a sister. With that name. I have a picture of her.” She pulled out a locket. She opened it and showed me. It is a picture of my mom and me and dad and a girl with brown hair. “That’s my mom and dad!” I say. “Mine too!” she says. “Tell me your name please.” I say. “My name is sunfire.” “So tell me how you got here.” I say. “It is a long story.” She says. “I have lots of time.” “I will tell you after lunch.” She says. Meanwhile back at the castle, Jacob told Charlie and Jacob decided to try to find me. He grabbed some things and a coat. He took his father's dragon. And went the way Jack left. Once he got a safe distance from Jack's baise. He stopped and floated in mid air and looked around. Then he got grabbed by the orange dragon. He screamed. He whistled and his father's dragon came after him. The dragon carrying Jacob went through the hole in the ground. Jacob's father’s dragon right behind. As usual the dragon took him down and flew away. His father’s dragon on the ground with him. “There is a person!” A girl told my sister. “Come sis.” she says to me. We pause from lunch. I walk behind her. She puts her mask back on. She walks out and confronts the person. I hear talking but can’t see anything. I walk up onto the rocks. I see a boy. I hear my sister talking. “Who are you!?” he yells. The dragon growls. My sister points at the dragon. They put his dragon to sleep with a sleeping dart. “No!” he says. He charges at my sister, With a sword. I grab a red mask and put it on my face. I jump in front of my sister. “No!” I scream. The sword stabs me instead. I fall. “NO!” My sister screams. She takes off her mask. And runs to my side. “TAKE HIM TO THE CAGES!” She screams. “HE WILL BE EXECUTED!” She adds. I goan, “Turning trying to see the boy. Then I heard her say, “Hit her with a dart. She needs to sleep. I feel a short sharp pain and then black out.” When I wake up I'm fixed. I am also on a bed. My sister is off to the side. I try getting up. I groan. My sister runs over to me. “OH, your awake!” she says. “Yup.” I say as I get up. I stand. “You need to rest.” She gently pushes me down to sit on the bed. “I have to go execute the boy. See you later.” She walked out. I wait till she is far away. I grab a mask. I run out and hide behind a rock. I want to see who the boy is. I start walking towards the place where they are executing him. When I get there I Cant see. Someone is holding a spyglass. “Can I borrow that.” I ask them. “Shure.” they say. I look at the boy that is pinned to the ground. I look closer to his face. It’s jacob. My sister started by saying what he did. Then grabbed a sword. I was running as fast as I could. I was almost there. She raised the sword. “NO!” I screamed. I ran past her and raised a fire wall right as the sword went down. The sword struck across the fire shield. The sword exploded this time. The people that were pining Jacob down. Tried shooting me. I took them and threw them on the outside of my shield, where my sister was. “Who are you!” My sister said. She doesnt recognize me, I thought. I did not answer her. I looked down at jacob. “Why would you save me?” He said. I made a dome around us, so that I did not have to control it anymore. I helped him up and undid his cuffs. “I am a friend,” I say. Jacob looks at me confused. My sister is watching intently. I slowly lift off my mask. Jacob sees that it is me and he hugs me. I Hug him back. I look at my sister and she is watching. I bring down the dome. “If you kill him, you will have to kill me.” I say. My sister looks at me. She growls. She charges at Jacob. I put up the fire wall, but not early enough. My sister runs into the wall. She screams in pain. She is badly burned. So bad she might not live. I take down the shield. “NO!” I scream. “I am so sorry.” I ran to her side. Jacob joins me by her side. “Give me the bottle!” I yell to jacob. He pulls the bottle out of his pocket. I pour a drop of it on my sister. She stops screaming. I touch her. She grabs a dagger. We back up. She stands up and looks at me. “YOU COULD HAVE KILLED ME!” She screamed. “WHY DID YOU DO THAT!” She points the dagger at jacob. “He Is my friend!” I yell. “Like I said You will have to kill me too, if you kill him.” She stares at me in surprise. “He stabbed you with his sword last time.” She said. “WAIT!” Jacob said. “That girl in the mask was u.” He pointed at me. “YES!” My sister says. “YOU ALMOST KILLED HER!” She added. “I’m so sorry.” Jacob says. “It’s ok you did not know it was me. I was just protecting my sister. I say. “NO IT’S NOT! I WANT TO KILL HIM!” My sister says. “Then you kill your sister too.” I say standing in front of Jacob, my hands out protecting him. “FINE!” She says. She starts walking away. “HEY!” I yell. She turns around. What now? She says. You have to tell me how you ended up here! I say. “FINE! Now come!” She yells. We follow her. When we walk I put a fire shield up so they don't knock us unconscious. When we get in a hut, I grab my sister and push her against the wall of the hut. “DON'T YOU EVER RUN AT JACOB TRYING TO KILL HIM, EVER AGAIN! THAT'S HOW YOU GOT HURT! IT WAS YOUR FAULT! NOT OURS!” I yell. Jacob pulls me off her. “Now tell me how you ended up here.” I say. “Well when we lived in the castle, Jack was there always entertaining us with his magic. I saw jack one time talking about his plan to kill mom. So he captured me and took me here, expecting I would get eaten by dragons. There were people here. I became the leader. I never did get to say goodbye to you sis.” She says. “Well I have to go.” I grab my bag and leave the hut. Jacob followed me. “Where is skye?” I say. “He is over there.” Jacob points. “SKYE!” I yell. “WE ARE LEAVING!” I add. I get our dragons. When we get out of the hole. I turned to look at the baise of Jack. when we started flying away, I saw something fly past me. It looked like an arrow. “GO!” I yell. I look back at the whole, there was no one shooting. Somewhere else someone was shooting. Something hit me on the neck. I pulled it out. It was a sleeping dart. I fell off Ash. Jacob looks over to Ash. I was not there. He looks down watching me. “NO!” he yells. He dives and catches me, close to the ground. I try opening my eyes. Something flew by. It was a net. “GO!” Jacob yells. They start flying faster. Then the net caught Ash. Ash fell to the ground. Jacob landed and cut the ropes with his pocket knife. When we started flying away, A net caught Jacob's dragon. Ash too. They fell. I hit the ground with a thud and rolled. “GO GET HELP!” Jacob yelled to Skye as he flew away. “I WILL!” He yells back. Jacob cuts the net off him. He rushed to my side. Then people appeared around us. Jacob grabs his sword. He points It at the people. I try getting up. I fail. I see Jacob swinging the sword at people. I also see a person grab Jacob. I get up even though my vision is blurry. I look at ash, she is being changed up. I see Jacob fighting. I Grab the person off jacob. I try pushing him to the ground. Instead he punches me and knocks me to the ground. My lip is bleeding. My vision gets more blurry. My eyes start to close, Before they do, I see Jacob trying to run to me, but the people are pushing him back. “Eliza!” he yells. I hear the wines of our dragons. Then my eyes close.

Chapter 17
captured
When I wake up I am cold. I sit up and see Jacob chained to the wall. I ran over to him. I lift his head. His face has a black eye and a bleeding lip. He opens his eyes. I smile. “You ok?” I ask. “Just a couple bruises.” he says. I pull the bottle of healing out of my pocket. I drop a drop on his nose. His bruises go away. His lip stops bleeding. “There!” I say. I hold on to his chains. I make the chains melt. I hit the chains with a rock and it breaks. “Now you're free.” I put the bottle in Jacobs coat pocket. “Where are we?” I ask. “Jack's baise.” Jacob says. There was a bang, on the cell. I turn around. There were two guards. “Jack wants to see you.” Pointing at me. “I will go if Jacob comes with me.” “No! You are coming without that boy.” They walk towards me. I put up a fire shield. I hold the shield up as long as I can, but I am low on energy. The shield starts flickering. It cracks and dies. I fall on the ground. They grab me. I try to get back to Jacob. Jacob runs up to the guards and tries to free me. They punch him back and shut the cell. “I will be ok!” I promised to Jacob. He smiles. He has a bloody lip from being punched back. It doesn't take long to get to the room with Jack in it. When we get to it, He is sitting on a throne. “What do you think of my throne room.” He says. “You are not a king, you don't deserve a throne. The only king there will ever be is my father.” He frowns Then I see Ash is chained up next to Jack’s throne. “Ash!” I say. “Let her go! She is mine!” I yell. I look on the other side of him and Jacob's father's dragon is chained too. Jack gets up and walks down to me. “BOW!” He says. A spell hit me, making me bow to him. “Torture!” He says. I fell to the ground. I scream. I can feel pain going through me, but nothing is happening though. “Prisoner!” he says. I scream even louder. “LEAVE HER ALONE!” You could hear Jacob screaming from the cell. I looked at my arm. The word prisoner was burned into my arm. “Take her back to the cell.” He says. “No killing me?” I ask “What happened to the scary Jack.” I add. He stares at me. “Of mine!” Jack says. I feel the burning pain again. I try not to scream, but the pain is too much. I scream again. “ELIZA! ELIZA YOU OK!?” Jacob screamed from his cell. “Now, watch what you say.” He says while I'm screaming. “Take her to her cell.” They drag me back up to the cell. Jacob is still by the door. They open the door, and through me in. I was still clutching my arm that now had the words, “ Prisoner of mine.” burned into my arm. I was yelling in pain. Jacob rushed to my side. He carefully grabbed my arm that had the sentence in it, and looked at it. He gasped when he saw the words “prisoner of mine” burned into it. I was still yelling in pain. He grabbed the bottle of healing and tried pouring a drop on my arm, it did not work. The drop fell on the ground. Jacob grabbed a bucket of water and splashed it on my arm. There was a sizzling sound, and I stopped yelling in pain. I was looking up at the ceiling. I pushed on my arm, trying to get up. I groaned. Jacob helped me up. “Thanks.” I say. He smiles at me. “We have to get out of here.” I say. “Ash and your dad's dragon are in the throne room. We can get them at night.” “Ok.” Jacob said. Night came pretty fast. I burned the cell bars. We walked out. When we got to the throne room, No one was there. I walked up to Ash and melted her chains. Along with the dragon Jacob brought. “Ash, camo.” I said. Ash and I disappeared because I was on her. Ash touches Jacob's dragon he was riding and he disappears too. We walk out of the throne room and right outside. We started flying and we were free. Jack's writing on my hand started to burn. Ash kept flying. I started yelling in pain. Jack must know I'm out. I say to Jacob. Jacob looks at me with a worried look. I continued to yell in pain. The pain was so bad. “JACOB SPLASH ME!” I yell. He splashes me with water. “Thank you.” I say to Jacob. “We are free.” I say. “Yes, We are.” He says.

Chapter 18
Happy birthday
When we got home, I was asleep. “Eliza!” Wake up Jacob says. “Ash will you wake her.” Ash tills and makes me fall off. I scream. “Ash!” I yell. She catches me. “Ash do not do that!” I say. Ash makes a sound that sounds like she’s laughing. I sigh. She puts me down on the balcony. My burn from Jack starts hurting again. I clutch my arm. Jacob looks at me. The pain gets worse. “AHH!” I yell in pain. Almost falling down. Jack splashes me. “Thanks.” I say. “No problem. We need to get this fixed.” He says. “We know that splashing water on it makes it calm down for a few hours. How about trying to swim in the ocean and letting it soak.” He says. “Ok.” I say. I ran inside. Jacob is following me. I run to my room and open the windows. I jump out of the window and dive into the water. I look back up at the window and don't see Jacob. “SPLASH!” There he is. I sigh and sink into the water. He went under to watch me. I swim back up. “How’s your arm?” He asks. “Well it doesn't hurt.” I say. Then all of a sudden, My arm felt like it was just cut off. I scream in pain and clutch my arm. “You ok?!” Jacob askes. “I need a second.” I say. I swim under water. A couple seconds went by. Jacob started getting worried. He dived underwater. What he saw made him open his mouth, which was not good. He went back up for breath, then back down. My arm was making steam underwater. I was trying to make it stop by having the water surround my arm. Jacob swam up to me. I told him to stop. He stopped. I did not want him to see how much pain I was in. I started running out of breath. I swam back up. So did Jacob. I started yelling in pain. I went back under once I had breathed. so did Jacob. My arm was still burning. Then all of a sudden, my arm made me in more pain. I screamed underwater. I lost all of my air. I tried swimming up but my arm hurt so much. I tried swimming with one arm. I needed to get to the surface. Jacob grabbed me and helped me up to the surface. I started yelling in pain. I swam to the sand. I was in so much pain. I cried out in pain. Jacob ran to my side. He was looking at me. He was too afraid to try to take me to the castle, he thought it might hurt me. I was screaming so loud, I thought that my lungs would break. I thought I might die. The pain was getting worse by the minute. Then It stopped. I was panting at the end. I sat up. “What just happened?” I said. “I don't know.” Jacob said, still looking at me. I looked at my arm. The sentence, “prisoner of mine” was gone. “Jacob, look!” I said. He looked at my arm. “It’s gone!” He said. I hugged him. We walk back to the castle. When we get to the castle, I walk into the war room and skye, charlie, and Ivy,and the kings are leaning over the map. “What is going on!?” I say. “MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS!” The earth king said. “Excuse me you are in my war room.” “No this is the queen's war room.” He turns. “Oh, your highness. I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to disrespect you.” He said quickly. “Whether they are a royal or not, you will speak to anyone like that. Do you understand?” I said. “Yes mam.” he says. Skye runs up to me. I hug him. “Why are you wet?” Charlie askes. “It’s a long story.” I said. “We got captured by Jack, and then he burned The sentence, “prisoner of mine” into Eliza’s arm, and then every once in a while the sentence would burn making her go into so much pain. We jumped into the lake, and She was screaming so much then the sentence disappeared. And here we are.” Jacob said. “What he said!” I said. “I’m going to go get changed.” Jacob says. Once he leaves, I say, “Today is Jacob's birthday. I want to plan a surprise party.” “Ok!” They all say. “I am going to go get his big surprise, you guys decorate the ballroom for his party.” I walk out of the room. I run to my room and get dressed. Then I run to my car that is safely hidden and drive away. It took me a couple hours to get the present. When I got back Jacob was laughing and enjoying his party. I walk in the room. “Eliza where have you been?” Jacob askes. “Getting you this.” I opened the other side of the Door, behind it was Jacob's family. He runs up to them and gives them a hug. “Thankyou Eliza, this is the best gift.” He says. I hug him. “Your welcome.” I say. The party lasted for hours. I went to bed before it died down. When I opened my eyes. I saw The whole village destroyed. Everyone is dead. Jacob dead, my dad dead, skye dead, Ivy dead, Ash dead, theiro dead, the 3 other kings dead, everyone was dead. Then Jack Appeared in front of me. He looked at me and said, I will take everything you love” I charged at him. He vanished and I fell off the cliff that suddenly appeared. I screamed waking up. I sat up in my bed. Jacob burst through the door. “U ok?” He asked. “I’m ok. Just a dream.” I say. “Oh.” he says. “Would you like me to stay with you?” “Thanks, but no you need your sleep. I’ll be ok.” I said. “You sure?” He says. “I’m positive.” I say. “Ok, then goodnight.” He says walking out.
2 hours later.
I get up and look out the window. I decide To get dressed. Before I leave my room, I go to the army room, and grab a bow and some arrows. I go to the balcony. I watched the sunrise. I closed my eyes and made a wish. “I wish I had my mom here.” I took an arrow and lit it on fire and shot it in the air. Watching it fly in the sky like a shooting star. “You come up here often.” A voice said. I grab an arrow and shoot it at the person who said that. When I really figured out who it was, I screamed in shock. It was Jacob. I watched him fall. I ran to his side. “I’m so sorry.” I said to Jacob. He groaned. “Brace yourself!” I said to Jacob. I ripped the arrow out. He yelled in pain. I grabbed his bottle of healing potion. I poured a drop on him. He looked at me. When he was fixed, he stood up and looked at me. “I am so sorry,” I said. He looked at me and smiled, “you should really consider using a bow for the war. It suits you.” “I don't think so.” “I think you totally should'' Jacob says. “Your majesty?” I Took an arrow and shot it at the person behind me, but Jacob made me miss, by pushing the bow up. “Thankyou jacob.” “Yes?” I say. “You have a visitor,” he says. “Oh?” I say. “A man that Says he needs to see you Immediately.” He says. “Ok.” I say as I rush to see him. When I get Down there, a spear hits the wall, 3 inches from my head. I turn , and see Jack. I jump down the stairs and shoot an arrow at Jack. He jumps out of the way. “I have a proposition.” He says. “Tell me then!” I yell holding the bow and arrow ready to shoot. “You stop the war, or I will destroy everything you love.” “I will NEVER stop the war.” I yell pulling the arrow back farther. “THEN I WILL DESTROY EVERYTHING YOU LOVE!” Jack yells as he walks closer to me. I let go of the arrow, he disappears, the arrow hits the wall behind him. “DARN!” I yell. “PREPARE FOR WAR!” I add. “Jack is going down.”

Chapter 19

War pt.1
I set a lot of guards on the balcony. The rest of the guards watched the perimeter. Once Jack came with his army I made half of the guards go on the ground, for fighting. Jack released the people on the ground fighting First. Then flew towards the castle. “General you're in charge of cannons!” I yell. “Jacob, You're in charge of Dragons, and shields!” I yell. “Charge!” I yell. We ran at the people across the dirt. I was shooting arrows at the people running towards us. I kept Hitting them in the heart, which killed them Immediately. I was out of arrows. I unsheath my sword, and slice the sides of the soldier attacking us. “AHH!” I hear a cry of pain. I ran over to the man hurt. It was thunder. “Oh it’s you.” Thunder says. “I can defend myself.” His side was sliced open. People were coming at him. “Shure you can. You think I want to be helping you, after how rude you were to me? No I don’t.” I say. I defended him. I ducked as a sword swung over my head. “The only reason I stood you up was because……...I felt that you were too young to rule.” He says. There is a king that was 10 when he started ruling. Now that is young.” I said. When there was a little time to get him to safety I took that chance. I whistle and phoe phoe comes to get him. THANKYOU! He yells. I ran after the crowd. I was watching The cannons hit jacks dragons and taking them down. We were outnumbered. Jack had more people than us! We were going to die! I knelt on the ground and held my hand above the ground. I waited till Jack's army was close. They still were far away. I waited. Then one of his soldiers grabbed me. I took my hand and pressed it to the ground. A Fire sonic explosion speeds across ground. It burns all the soldiers on Jack's side, within a 1,000 foot raides. The guards that grabbed me were not anymore. Jack starts flying faster towards my castle. About 4,000 Men drop out of Jack's many floating helicopters. Then the Helicopter flies towards the castle wall, and drops men there and returns back to the base. People on the wall and the ground are fighting. I whistle to Ash and Therio, and the 4 kings' dragons and they come help. Ash starts stabbing people with her spike on her tail. Once she stabs them they disintegrate within 10 seconds. Jacob comes and helps me fight. We were trying to eliminate the people as fast as we could. We were still out numbers. “SKYE!” I yell “Yeah?!” He yells back. “I NEED YOU TO GO TO MY SISTER AND ASK FOR HER HELP! TELL HER WE NEED ALL HER DRAGONS!” I yell as I am fighting. “OK!” He yells as he flies off on phoe phoe, because theiro is fighting. When he gets to the cave! He runs past the people to the hut she is almost always in. “SUNFIRE!” Skye screams. She rushes out of the hut. “Skye, what are you doing here?” She says. “We need your help!” Skye says urgently. “With what?” She says. “With the war!” Skye says. “NO WAY! I am not letting my people die for your people.” “YOUR SISTER COULD DIE!” Skye screams. “That is her fault for-” “For what trying to save the kingdom and bring back your mom?” Skye interrupts. “You can replace the kingdom but not your sister.” Skye adds. Skye gets on phoe-phoe and leaves. She was thinking about what he had said. He was right. “PREPARE FOR WAR!” She screams. They load up all the dragons which is about 6,000 dragons. “I’m coming sis!” Sunfire says. “I won't let you die like mom died.” She says.

Chapter 20
War pt.2
I hit the soldier with my sword. He falls. “How many more?” I say. “Thousands!” Jacob says. “We will never win!” I say. “Incoming! Shields up!” I say. A bomb drops and shakes the ground. “CHARGE!” I hear my sister's voice yell. I look up. ALL The dragons Drop down to help. “We will win now!” I say to my sister as she drops down next to me. I start killing the soldiers. Jack drops down and makes the ground shake. My army drops to the ground, because it shakes so bad. Then Jack makes a gust of wind come through. It takes half of my army, and makes them go off the cliff into the water. The dragons have no problem with it and move on. I get caught in the wind, and it makes me go to the cliff. I grab onto the cliff with dear life. I hold on as hard as I can. When a gust of wind dies, I get up and charge at jack. Our swords clash. I try stabbing him. He turns and I miss him. He makes me backup as I am fighting him. He tries stabbing me I turn, but instead of getting out of the way, my arm gets cut. “Ahh!” I yell as blood leaks my arm. I lunged at him. Jacob watches me fight Jack. Jack tries stabbing me again. I turned the other way and he missed me. I do a fire shield. Jack splashes me with water and the shield dies. I cut Jack on his arm. He looks at me. I stab my sword into Jack's chest. He winces. He pulls my sword out and he heals himself with his staff. “As for u,(Jack pointing at me.) I will now kill you.” I try to do a side leg kick. And knock him unconscious, It doesn't work. I get a cut on my leg as he swings his sword at the same time. He takes his staff and points it at me. “STEAL!” He yells. Jacob hears it and runs towards me. He is far away so he is running towards me as fast as he can. The staff makes a stream of a red glow. The red glow reaches me and lifts me in the air. I start groaning. It feels like my heart is getting ripped out. I Immediately know it is taking my powers. The red stream gets brighter as it takes my powers. When the staff turns red It drops me. I fall to the ground. I tried getting up but I lost all of my energy. I look at Jack, his eyes turn red for a minute and then fade back to it’s grey color. He kicks me and I roll over. I start backing up, trying to get away from him. I finally got enough strength to stand up. I punch him in the face. He looks at me. He took his sword and stabbed it right through my middle. I scream. Jack pushes the sword farther through my middle. I scream again. I fall to the ground. Jack disappears. Jacob reached me. I look up to his face. My face turns pale. My sister ran over to me, So did my dad. I groan in pain. Jacob looks at me when I groan in pain. I groan again and my eyes shut. “NO!” Jacob yells. He rips the sword out of me. He grabs the healing potion and pours a drop on me. The blood stops. My shirt is still soaked with blood. I flutter my eyes. Then open them. I smile at Jacob. I hug him. I try to stand. I fall back down. “She is out of energy!” Jacob says. I Whistle for Ash. She comes, I jump on her, and fly towards Jack. Jack says, “I will rule!” Lifting the staff in one of his hands. I lean down and grab the staff. “I will take that!” I say. Jack jumped on spike and spike hit Ash making me fall off. I hit the ground. The crystal ball on the staff cracked. A flame of red came out of the crack. It swirled around me then went in me. I had my powers back. I whistled to Ash. she came down. I pointed at Jack, Ash grabbed him. She stabbed him with her tail, he screamed as he turned into ashes. I pointed to the war, and Ash went back to it. Jack’s dragon Spike charges at me. I wait till the last second then step aside so He goes running past me. I Look at him. Spike was an orange dragon. He looked at me and growled. His entire body lit on fire! Spike charged at me. I ran towards him too. I slide under his body. He turns and looks at me. “Is that all you got?” Spike stops being on fire and flies away. “Oh, that was easy.” I say. I watch spike as he flies away. He was heading straight for jacob. “JACOB WATCH OUT!” I scream as I am running towards him. Jacob turns around And sees Spike coming for him. I throw my sword at Spike. It misses. Spike lands in front of Jacob. I was still running. Spike raised his hand ready to claw Jacob. Jacob raised a water wall right as spikes claw went down. Spike’s hand went right through the water wall and clawed Jacob’s chest. Jacob fell and groaned. “NO!” I screamed. His chest was bleeding. I ran up to spike. I threw a fireball at him, As spike looked down at me. I watched as the fire ball hit his face. It was burning him. I look at Jacob watching his chest bleed. I turn back to Spike. Anger burns inside me. “WHY COULDN'T YOU CUT ME INSTEAD!” I yell. The anger grows stronger. I lit on fire. I ran at Spike and burned his arm. He growled in pain. I ran to Jacob, grabbed his sword. I sliced Spikes arm off. He growled in pain. I jumped on spike and Sliced off his head. I stopped being on fire and ran over to jacob. “Jacob you're going to be ok.” I said. He looked at me and said, “I will not make it.” “Oh Yes you will!” I said. “Where is the healing bottle?” He pulled shards of glass out of his pocket. “No!” I said, falling on my knees need him. “I’m sorry I fell on it when I collapsed.” Jacob said. “It's ok.” I say. I look at him. My eyes filling with tears. Jacob groans. “Let's get you to the castle. They can fix you.” I say. “They can’t fix me in time.” Jacob “Yes they can. Because it is just a cut or cuts. says. “No they can’t because spikes claws were covered in Poison.” he says. He moves the slices in his shirt. I could see the slices in his chest. The color of the cuts were turning green. I could hear a slight sound of sizzling from the poison. A tear falls off of my face. Jacob groans. “You have to promise me you're going to be ok.” I say to Jacob. “Eliza...Promise me!” I interrupt him. “I promise.” He says looking at me. He groans. Blood soaked his shirt. “Is there something I can do! Anything.” I say. “I’m fine.” Jacob says. Jacob sighs, and shuts his eyes. “NO!” I yell. “You promised me you would be ok. You can’t die. NO!” I yell. I shook Jacob. Tears fell off my face. I grabbed his hand and felt for a pulse. He was gone. My friend was truly gone. I looked at his face. It was pale and empty. I was never going to be able to tell his parents. Or mine for that matter. I felt like everything that mattered was destroyed. Why did I feel this way? I think I loved him. For right now I did not care. For at this moment, My friend was dead. I didn't even get a chance to say goodby. I was never going to let this happen to anyone else. What if Jack was right, what If he was going to destroy, everything I loved. Should I surrender? Should I give up? Jacob would not want me to give up. I was going to make sure that Jacob did not die for nothing. I was going to make sure that his death was not for nothing. I got up and walked to Jacob. “Goodby Jacob.” I said. I kissed his head as a tear fell off my face. I walked away. I went to the balcony and was going to bring back my mom. Followed by My sister and my dad and skye, and some of the soldiers. I thrust the staff on the ground. The glass ball on the top, shatters. A wind of rainbow explodes across the land. “Eliza!” I turned around and Jacob was back alive. Jacob looked at me. I looked at his face. I ran up to him and hugged him. I looked at him. Tears fell off my face. I hugged him again. I stepped back to look at him. I wiped away my tears. “I’m ok.” Jacob says. My mom starts to get up. Once my mom fully stands up I hug her. “Who are you?” she says. I look at her and my eyes are filled with tears. “Sunfire!” she yelled as she ran up to my sister. “Apollo!” She said as she hugged my father. “Where is Emberleigh?” she asked. My eyes were filled with tears. How did my mother remember them and not me? I am Emberleigh. “Ervastath!” Jacob's mother cried as she ran up to him. I looked at Jacob. He looked at me. I was mad all the Queens remembered their child's except me. I picked up the broken staff and pushed past Jacob, I walked down the stairs. When I get to the dirt, I set the staff on the ground. I hit it with a fireball. It burned for a half a second and then the staff turned red and put itself out. I picked it up and threw it. It bounces off the ground and then settles. I ran up to it, and tried killing it fire, it put itself out again. I yelled in anger. I picked it up and then tried breaking it. It did not work. I again yell in anger. Jacob meets me down on the ground. “You ok?” He says. “WHAT DO YOU THINK!” I yell at him as I turn around to look at him. “I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT FOR FOREVER, AND SHE DOESN'T REMEMBER WHO I AM!” “Eliza I know what you're going through.” Jacob says. “NO YOU DON'T!!” I yell. “YOUR MOM REMEMBERS YOU! YOU HAVE A FAMILY! I DON’T! I yell. “You do have a family. Me. I am part of your family.” Jacob says. “YOU ARE NOT MY FAMILY! YOU WILL NEVER BE MY FAMILY! I NEVER WANTED YOU AS A FRIEND OR FAMILY! YOU DRAGGED ME INTO THIS! IT IS YOUR FAULT I DON'T HAVE A MOM, IT IS YOUR FLIGHT I STARTED THIS WAR, IT IS YOUR FAULT THAT I GOT HURT FROM JACK SEVERAL TIMES, AND IT IS YOUR FLIGHT I AM IN THIS POSITION IN THE FIRST PLACE! I NEVER NEEDED YOU! I yell at him. He looks at me surprised. Once I saw his face I Immediately knew what I said. I gasped. “Jacob…………..I did not mean it.” “You said it.” Jacob says. He starts walking back up to the Balcony. “Jacob………… Wait.” I walked up to him. He looked at me and said, “I have to go, like you said you never needed me.” He runs away. My eyes fill with tears. I watch him go back to Esme's home. I kick the dirt. “UG!” I yell.



Chapter 21


Leaving and Apologizing

When I get back to the castle, The queen is arguing with my butler. “What are you doing wearing my crown?” My mom asks. “I was queen while you were dead. Now that your back I am leaving.” she adds. I go in the queen sweet and pack my stuff. I walk out the door. “Wait!” I turn and see my mom. “What now?!” I yell. “I am leaving, Leave me Alone.” “That is no way to talk to your queen!” She yells back. “You are not my queen, and you will never be!” I yell. “Take off my necklace!” She yells. I walk up to her and I take off the necklace, and put it in her hand, before it makes me out of the shield. I get into my car, and I drive off. I look in the rearview mirror and I see my real dad looking at me Beyond the shield. Tears fell down my face. When I get back home, I go straight back up to my room. I plop onto the bed and then I un-pack. I look at the picture of me and Jacob dressing up for spirit week. I feel terible. I grab my jacket. I walk out of my room, down the stairs and out the door. I walk all the way to Jacobs house. I knock on the door. Aqua comes to the door. “Oh, want to be rude to Jacob even more?!” “No, I want to apologize.” I say “Oh.” she says and waves me in. “He is in his room.” she tells me. “Can I go up there?” I ask. “Shure!” she says. I walk up to his room. I knock on his door. He opens it. “I don't want to see you, and he attempts to shut the door.” I stick my foot in the way. “Pls just hear me out! Pls Jacob.” I say. “20 seconds.” He says. “I’m sorry. I did not mean what I said, And I know I still said it. I was not thinking. I was mad at Myself to think that It would fully fix my mom, and I took it out on you. I was not a good person, not even a good friend. Pls forgive me.” Tears falling down my face in the middle. I continued. “I know what I said was harsh, and hurtful, and the worst thing to say to you. I know you're mad, I would be too, if I was you. I just wanted you to know why I said that. I don't expect you to forgive me yet.” I stopped to take a breath. I looked at him with tear streaks down my face. He shut the door on me. My eyes were filled with more tears. I walked down the stairs. I opened the door and walked out. I walked back to my house and sat on the ground leaning against the trunk of the tree in our yard. I started crying. I looked up to the moon. I was never going to forgive myself for saying that to him. I was the worst person ever. I wish I never met Jacob. Then I wouldn't have hurt him. I knew He would never forgive me. I saw a car drive up to the driveway, and parked. The door opened and it was Jacob. He walked over to me and sat down. I looked away from him. “What are you doing here?” I asked him. “The reason I got mad at you was because I consider you family.” He said. “You shouldn't. I am the worst person in the world. I would never talk to myself if I was you.” I say. “Well I do consider you family. Whether you like it or not. Also friends, or family forgive.” He replies. I turn and I look at him. “You really consider me family?” I ask. “Totally, why not?” He says. I hug him. “Want to go to the fair with me?” Jacob says. “Shure.” I say. “We will take my car.” Jacob says. We go to the peire, by the beach. It is so cool with the fair there. We go in and I stop to look at the lights. The ferris wheel is lit up, the roller coaster too, and lights are strung everywhere. It is so magical. Jacob leads me towards the roller coaster. We get in line. We finally get up there, and I have never seen Jacob so excited. He smiled at me. I smile back. We go up a 1,400 foot hill and then we slowly go over the hill. We zoom down the hill and hit a really sharp turn. At the end we had cotton candy and hot dogs. We got in the car. I fell asleep on the way home. When Jacob slowed down I knew we were at my house. I stepped out of the car and said goodby. I walked inside and up to my room. I opened my bedroom door and shut it. I turned around and screamed. In front of me was my mother, the fire queen.

Chapter 22
Her memories

20 second before I screamed.
Jacob was backing away. He looked at the Passenger seat and saw I left my Jacket. He stopped and opened the car door. He walked to the door, and then he heard me scream. “Eliza?” He waited to hear my voice. I did not answer. “Eliza!?” He called again. He rushed up to my room. He burst open the door. He stopped and stared at my mom. He looked at me. “Eliza?” He waved in front of my face. I turned to look at him. I look back at my mom. I glare at her. “What are you doing in my house!” I yell. She Looks at me and says, “Shut your mouth and let me talk.” I grab her arm and pull her to the door and then push her out of my room. Then I slam the door. She buns the door down. And walks back in the room. “YOU WILL BUY ME A NEW DOOR!” I yell. “If you listen to me.” she says. I glare at her. “I want to thank you for returning my crown and necklace. Some people would just run off and steal those items. So for your reward I give you this. She pulled out of her pocket a tiny glass rose.” “Thanks mom.” I said. I looked up at her and she looked mad. “What is with you?” She asked me. “You first hugged me and then you call me mom, I AM NOT YOUR MOM!” She yelled. “You are my mom. I took the locket I took from the castle, and opened it to show her the picture of me.” She looked at me. I smiled and said “It's true.” She turned the locket so I could see it, and she said, “This is my daughter. You are not my daughter.” She turned to walk out the door. “Mom.....” I grabbed her arm. “STOP CALLING ME MOM!” She yelled. “You are my mom.” I yelled. I AM NOT YOUR MOM! She yelled. She opened my window and grabbed me and held me outside the window about to drop me. “PUT HER DOWN!” Jacob yelled. “Only if she tells me she is not my daughter.” She says. “Are u my daughter?” She asked. “Yes I am.” I said. She moved me farther out the window. “Please mom. Please dont drop me.” I said. Her eyes opened so wide, they were so wide, all you saw was the blackness of her eyes. Her eyes flickered from black to red. Then she looked at me with tears in her eyes, and said Emberleigh?, and let go of me. I fell and hit a tree branch and then the ground. I yelled in pain. Jacob ran outside to my side, along with my mother behind him. My head was cut and blood was bleeding out. My lip was bleeding too. I was clutching my arm. I yelled in pain. My arm was definitely broken. My eyes were shuting but I was in too much pain to try to stay awake. I was watching the stars close in, then the night swallowed me. When I woke up I was in a hospital. My mom was staring at me. I opened my eyes. I tried extending my left hand to grab something to defend myself, but I yelled in pain. My mother walked towards me and said, “you ok?” “shure, I’M TOTALLY FINE BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T JUST DROP ME OUT MY WINDOW!” I yelled. Jacob walked into the room. “You Ok Eliza?” Jacob asked. “I’M FINE!” I say. “I’m going home.” I say. I get up and go get dressed. When I’m done, I get my bag and I leave. I walk right out the door. I walk All the way home, along with my mom following me. “GO AWAY! I'M NOT YOUR DAUGHTER! I GET IT, YOU CLEARED THAT UP PRETTY WELL WHEN YOU DROPPED ME OUT MY WINDOW!” I yelled. “Emberleigh wait!” My mom said. I stopped and turned and said, “you remember me?” “Of course.” she says. “You're my daughter.” She adds. I ran up to her and hugged her. She hugs me back. She Squeezes me. “OW!” I cry in pain. She lets go. “I’m so sorry!” She says. “It's ok.” I say. “MOM I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!” Jacob catches up with us. “HI!” I Say to him. He asks, “so how long does it take for your arm to heal?” “About a year.” I said. “How about we all come in and mom you tell us how you lost your memory.” “Ok.” we walk in the house. We sat on the couch. She started the story. Jack said, “you will forget everything. There will be no memories of anything before this.” He pointed his staff at us, then a lightning bolt hit aimed our heads. I put up A shield to protect all of us. The lightning hit my shield and exploded. It still erased my memory. He Then asked us, “Who am I? We did not know then he killed us. Every now and then I forget who I am. Because I put up the shield, yes it still erased our memories, but it did not do the full effect. That is why now I remember you. My mother stood up and walked over to the window by the door. Then out of the middle of nowhere, a red lightning bolt wrapped around her stomach. I ran up to her. I watched. Then it disappeared. “What was that!” I said My mother did not turn around. “Mom?” I said this time she moved. She started turning slowly. Once she got to the right angle, so I could see her face I gasped. I started backing up. Her entire eyes were black. “She-she is bad. The spell.” I told Jacob. She started walking towards me. She picked me up and threw me. I hit the piano, and fell to the ground. “Ow.” I said. “Eliza!” Jacob yelled. My mom wasn't going for me, she was going for Jacob. I got up and ran in front of jacob. “LEAVE HIM ALONE! YOU ARE NOT A BAD PERSON! DON'T DO THIS! I KNOW YOU WOULD NEVER HURT SOMEONE! YOU ARE NOT THE BAD GUY!” Her eyes flicked back to normal. She looked at me and said, “It’s ok.” I hugged her. “I love you mom.” The same red bolt wrapped around her waist again. I stood back, and put up a fire wall. Then the bolt disintegrated. “Mom? You ok?” I ask. She looks at me and smiles. “I’m ok. I’M OK! You killed the spell.” “I have to go home.” Jacob says. “OK see you tomorrow.” We wave goodbye at each other. He walks away. “You like him!” My mom says. “No I don't.” I quickly lied. “You risked your life for him. You definitely like him.” My mom says. “Stop it!” I say as I walk away.



Chapter 23
THE END (or is it?)

When I wake up, I smell something burning. I run down to the kitchen and the stove is on fire. “AHH! WHAT DID YOU DO! THE STOVE IS ON FIRE!” I scream. I rush to the fire extinguisher. And put out the fire. She holds a plate in front of me. It has a perfectly cooked omelet on it. I was so confused. I open my eyes. It was a dream. I get dressed and go down stairs. “There is a ball at the castle. For the victory of the war and you are coming.” My mom says. “Ok.” I say. I walk out the door. I walk to Jacob House. I knock on Jacobs' house. I feel so nervous. Aqua answers the door. “Hi. I have a very Important question for Jacob!” I say. Aqua lets me in. He is in his room. I walk up to his room and knock on his door. Jacob smiles at me. “Hi, Jacob.” I say. “Come in.” He says. “What are you doing here?” He adds. “Hello Prince Ervastath.” I bow. “Ok, what is going on?” He says. “There is a victory ball tomorrow. Will You Come To The Ball With Me?” I mumble. “Say that again.” He says. “Will...you…Go...to...the...victory….ball….with...me?” I ask again. He looks at me. “I..I…shure.” he says. “Ok. so pack we leave at 8:00.” I walk out of his room and the whole family is staring at me. “Ok not creepy at all.” I say. I walk out the door and shut it. The moment I walk out, I hear, “Jacob is going to the ball with Eliza” (In a song tune.) I walk away laughing. When I get home. I pack. I feel like passing out. So I go to sleep. When I woke up, I was moving, Or it felt like it. I sat up, and I was in a car. I looked at who was in the passenger seat, It was Jack. I screamed. I banged on the window, for help. The car shook. I kept screaming. Jack grabbed me and shook me. I opened my eyes and Jacob looked at me. I smiled. “Hi.” I said. “You ok? You were screaming.” He said. “I am fine.” I said. We arrived at the kingdome in 2 hours. I was relieved. I stepped outside the car and ran into the kingdom and ran into my room. I locked the doors. I sat on the couch that they had put in there from remodeling. I sighed and unpacked. There was a knock on the door, I opened it and Jacob stood at the door. He looked at me and said, “I never got to thank you for letting me be your guest. So thankyou.” Jacob said. “No problem.” I said. He walked away. I shut the door. Later that day before the ball, the maids came and gave me my dress. It was a red dress that had jewels along the top. I put it on, and I heard a knock on the door, It was Jacob. I quickly put on high heals the maids gave me. “Ready?” He says. I almost fall over trying to stand up, I haven't worn heals in a while. “You ok?” He asked. “Yup, I am ready as I'll ever be.” I say. We got to the stairs and all eyes, Were on us. I felt sick and I ran out of the room. Jacob stood at the stair balcony. “Typical princesses always running out of the room, because they see some people that they did not want to be at the party.” One guest said. Jacob walked down the steps. To the person who said it. “You need to shut your mouth. Prinses Emberleigh Burn is nothing like that. She is twice the person you will ever be.” Jacob said. He walked away leaving the person speechless. I ran back to my room. I went onto the balcony. Jacob found me. I looked at him. He said, “you ok?” “I’m ok. I just needed a minute.” We walked back into the ballroom and we danced. We danced every other dance. When we got done with the 6th dance, I went to the stairs, and I watched from above. I felt like dying. The lady who was reprimanded by Jacob, came up to the stairs to join me. “So you are the girl that is accompanied by that terrible teen.” Pointing to Jacob. “Excuse me?” I said looking at her. “oh yeah that boy down there is a terrible teen.” “Well if you are calling Jacob a terrible teen you are calling me one too! Next time you say something like that you will be talking to my mother the queen.” I said. “Yeah right.” she said. Walking away. My mom walked up to me. “Having fun?” She asked. “Yup. Hey I have to tell you something.” I said.“Yes?” she said. “That woman there is bad mouthing Jacob.” I said. I point at her. I watched my mom go down to the lady and take her into the office. The woman glared at me. I stuck my tongue at her. My legs were killing me in these shoes. Jacob came up to me. I turned and looked at him as he made a funny face behind me to make me laugh. I did laugh. “Eliza you ok?” Jacob said. I looked at him. “Yeah it’s just these shoes are killing me.” “Want to dance?” He asked. “Shure.” We danced. I had never done the Traditional dance before. I Accidentally ran into someone. “Watch it.” The person said. “Oh I am so sorry.” I said “Well well a princess that can't dance but can do a war. How interesting.” People stopped dancing and watched. I watched her. “I...I..That's not true.” “she can’t even say a full sentence.” they all laughed. I ran back to my room. Later Jacob visited me. I hear the music of the party. I walked to the door of my room, everyone was still in the ballroom. “Oh, I thought the ball was done when I ran.” I said. “Nope, someone asked if we should stop, because you were a big part of the victory, but they ignored him.” He said. “Who was the person?” I asked. “A man named Thunder.” Jacob said. I smiled. I walked down to the ballroom. Everyone was surprised that I was back. Jacob watches from the stairs. I walked right up to Thunder. “Thunder I need to talk to you.” I said. I grabbed his hand and pulled him into the castle office. I shut the doors. I grabbed a bag and gave it to Thunder. “Here is your reward for saying they should stop the ball for me.” He opened the bag and inside was 1,000 dollars. “I can’t accept this.” Thunder said. “Too bad. You deserve it.” I said. “I want you to have it.” “I was rude to you. Why do you want me to take the money?” Thunder says. “When you stood me up at the castle when we first met, I saw bravery in you because you weren't afraid to stand me up. You deserve that $1,000.” I said. He looked at me and said, “thank you your majesty”, as he bowed. He opened the doors and walked back out to the ballroom. I went to my room to change out of the dress and the annoying shoes. I then went on to my balcony. Jacob joined me on the balcony. It was so peaceful I felt like it was the end of it all. I saw someone walking Far Below on the ground. I looked closer at the face and I immediately recognized it. It was Jack.

Chapter 24
The real end.
( And yes, it is the real end.)

I punched Jacob in the shoulder to get his attention. “Owww.” He said. “Look down there it's Jack.” I yelled. “You're just seeing things we killed him remember.” Jacob says. “That's what I thought but look down there and you'll see him. I'm not kidding Jacob, and I'm not going crazy either.” Jacob looked down and indeed he did see the face of Jack. “Is Jack!” Jacob yells. “NO, Really. Wow I wished I would have seen that.” I said sarcastically. “Ha Ha very funny” Eliza. Jacob says. Jacob and I whistled to our dragons and they came and took us down. When we got down there Jack Had some soldiers ready to fight. “Hello fish brain, and fire head.” Jack said looking at Jacob and me. “Hello Ugly.” I said to Jack. Jacob snickered. I smiled. He stepped back and said, “Attack.” To his soldiers. I looked at the castle and whistled the highest whistle ever. Nothing came. I whistled again. And 40 soldiers came out. “Before we fight I have one question.” Jacob says. “What is it!?” I say. “How is Jack alive.” Jacob says. Jack smiles. “I had a protection spell on me. I would not die unless you killed me, when The moon is in the air.” He states. “So At NIGHT!!!!!!” I yelled. “Yup!” He says. “Why I oughta….” “Oughta what, kill me?” He interrupts me. “Ooo So scared.” Jack says. I punch Jack in the face and he goes tumbling back. I whistled and mt soldiers shot 3 of his guards in 10 seconds. Jack stood up and took his sword out of his sheath. Our sword clashed. I yelled in anger as he dodged my sword, as I lunged it at him. I watched as he dodged it again. I wanted him dead. The night was coming. Tonight was the full moon. I was going to have to kill Jack when the moon was up, or there was no way to kill him. I saw him stop for a breath. I cut his side. He yelled in pain. He lunged at me. I hear the riping sound of my shirt, He cut it but I did not stop. I wanted the war to end. As long as he was alive, the war kept going. I swung my sword and cut the side of his arm. There was blood bleeding out. I knew that if I was going to win, I needed to hurry. The moon was still up, but I wanted to stop to take a breath, but I would be killed. I knew I needed to keep going. I swung my sword again, he dogged it. He swung at me, not with his sword, but his hand. He punched me in the face and I hit the ground. He started walking towards me, but then Jacob attacked him. Jack swung his sword at Jacob's sword and made it fly far away. He raised his sword to hit Jacob. I stood up, grabbed my sword and stabbed it right through Jack’s middle. Jack dropped his sword and fell to the ground. Jack looked at me, then Jack's Body stopped breathing. Instead of just staying on the ground, It started to turn to silver dust. It flew up to the moon and disappeared. The war was over at last. It was the end. I felt relieved, No more hurt people. Then I fell on my knees in pain. For when Jack lunged at me and cut the side of my shirt he also cut my side. I felt blood soak my shirt. I tried getting up but fell back down. Jacob ran to my side. I wanted to go tell everyone Jack was now truly dead, but I could not stand up. “I can walk.” I said to Jacob. I stood up and tried walking, only to get 4 feet before falling on my back. Jacob ran to my side again. “HELP!” Jacob screamed. I saw people surrounding me. “It’s ok Eliza. They are here to help.” Jacob said calmly watching me. I felt the cold ground on my backside. I looked at the sky watching it close in on me. I felt like an angel. Floating to the night sky. Then the darkness pulled me in.

12 hours later

She is stable. She will be ok, but she needs rest, and NO FIGHTING! Make sure she does not stay up too late. She also needs to take 1 of these pills if in pain. Don't let her do anything involving bending or twisting her stomach. Call me if there is something Unusual. “Thanks doctor.” I hear a voice say. I try opening my eyes, but they wont open. “Will she be ok?” Another voice says. “The doctor said she would be ok.” A boy's voice says. I recognize this voice. It’s Jacob's voice. “Once she wakes up we will have to tell her that she can’t”..the voices are fading away. They left the bed room and went in the living room. My eyes open. I try moving, but a sharp pain goes through me. I groan in pain. I try getting up and groan in pain again. I grab the bed head bord and stand up with a groan. I start walking then I fall on my knees. My legs were not ready to walk. The bang of me falling echoes through the hall. Jacob burst through the door. He runs over to me and helps me up. “I’m sorry.” I was listening to your conversation, then you left the room and I wanted to follow. So what were you guys going to tell me I can’t?” “Oh we were going to tell you what you can’t or can do, because of your cut in your side.” “Oh.” I said. He helped me out into the living room. Instead I made him let go of me and I walked to the balcony. I looked at the rising sun. I felt like since Jack was dead, there was going to be no more action. I felt like this was the end. I think it was.

3 year later.

My sister and I rejoined our family. So did Jacob. Jacob is now my boyfriend. Skye is my sister’s boyfriend. Don’t know how that happened. Jacob now is the king (ofishally), and I am Queen (Ofishally). I love the feeling that my family is back together. Charlie is still my family. Even though he lied to me for a long time. “I can hear you.” Charlie says. “DAD! TRYING TO TELL OUR HISTORY!” “Sorry Continue.” charlie says. ‘Where was I? “Oh yes, and now we are at the end of history class.” “Aww!” The kids say. “Queen Emberleigh?” A little boy says. “Yes?” I say back. “Why was Jack Bad?” He asked. “Jack was bad because he wanted all magic. Magic is dangerous in the hands of evil. When you feel like you could be turning evil, Think of the things you love. Now, time for self defence class.” I say. “Yes Queen Emberleigh!” They all say. Later that day There was a bang that ecoed through the kingdom. It sounded Just like a cannon. I walked to the main balcony where I could see everything. Behind me was, My mom, Jacob, my dad, and skye. I saw nothing wrong. Then I saw light shapes. I looked like dragons. The fog from the weather made it hard for me to see the shapes. Then I saw it was 3 teens on dragons. “Who are they.” I asked. “That is, Hestai, the Earth queens girl, Tlaloc, The boy of wind, and River, Jacobs lost sister.” My mom said. “If they weren’t dead, where were they for 18 years?” I asked.

I love horses. I love expressing my feelings through writing. When I need to jot something down I have to do it right then or I will forget. I made this book when I was 14. I wrote this book when I was bored and had nothing to do. I was so proud of myself. It is a good book. I wanted to show everyone I was a good writer.
