Park In-bee among 32 candidates for IOC athletes' commission...will she make final four?

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced its list of 32 candidates for Athlete Commissioner, including Inbee Park and Allison Felix (USA).

The IOC unveiled the list of 32 athletes who will compete for the position of Athlete Commissioner at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games on its website on Tuesday.

The 32 candidates in 15 sports, nominated by 32 countries, consist of 18 women and 14 men, including Park In-bee.

Four Athletes' Commissioners will be elected by more than 10,000 athletes during the Paris 2024 Games. Yoo Seung-min, president of the Korea Table Tennis Association, is the current IOC Athlete Commissioner, but his term ends in Paris.

Park and Felix stand out among the 32 candidates for the IOC seat. ESPN, an American sports publication, highlighted the two as potential candidates in a headline.

Park has 21 career wins, including seven majors, on the U.S. Women's Professional Golf (LPGA) Tour and won a gold medal at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. Felix has won seven Olympic gold medals in track and field.

Other Olympic gold medalists Aaron Szilágyi (Fencing-Hungary), Mariana Pajón (Cycling-Colombia), Valent Sinkovic (Rowing-Croatia), Kahena Kunz (Sailing-Brazil), Sheikh Salah Cisse (Taekwondo-Côte d'Ivoire), Jessica Fox (Canoe-Australia), and Paula Pareto (Judo-Argentina) are also in the running.
