Genji takes first set with 'Rhubarb Doran' performance

Genji took the first set, and 'Doran', who chose Gragas, made a significant contribution to the team's victory by excelling in both lane and solo fights. In particular, his sharp ultimate utilization leading to a 'must+kill' was a highlight.

An exquisite vision ward led to the first kill. Noticing Han "Peanut" Wang-ho Goku's counter jungle, T1 executed a shrewd top-jungle-mid move that resulted in Goku's death. Genji, who had been on the back foot from the start, got a big break with a superplay from Choi "Doran" Hyun-jun. He skillfully picked up his opponent's gank and reversed it to take out Jace on Choi "Zeus" Woo-je.

After swallowing their disappointment, T1 snowballed a little bit with their line initiative. Lee "Faker" Sang-hyuk's Beiga and Jace pushed their opponents to the brink of a solo kill. They took the first Dragon and the Herald of the Gorge, and Jace responded to the one time he was caught by taking Goku.

However, Genji responded with back-to-back wins to keep T1 close, with Jeong "Chobi" Jung-hoon's Arie solo-killing Jace, and Moon "Owner" Hyun-jun's Sejuani, who was removing a vision ward. To make matters worse for T1, they lost two one-sided kills in the Dragon Hanta to a fiery initiation from Doran "Doran" Gragas. Before they knew it, Kim "Phase" Soo-hwan's Jaya was going 3/0/0.

With the kill count at 6:2, Jenji continued the good momentum by picking up the Jays' fourth death from the top lane. T1 landed a hard punch with their signature Baron play, but a good play to cut off Vayga prevented further damage. Genji then won back-to-back dragon and mid kills to take the baron, clearly gaining momentum.

At 36-minutes, the outnumbered T1 tried to play the variables with the Baron once again, but Genji was already growing in size. He pounced on T1 inside the Baron nest, taking the Baron and winning the game by a landslide. There were no casualties. Genji continued to push into enemy territory and destroy the nexus.
