It's been a while since I tried to write
It was so difficult to sleep last night
Didn't realize I've became so busy
Wasting all my time playing games
Oh this rollercoaster life...

Seeking excitement from animated stories
I've forgotten about my hopes and dreams
Dealing with loneliness every night
By talking to all my friends online
Oh this rollercoaster life...

As the fabric of universe stretches before my eyes
The black hole of mediocrity absorbs my soul
Nothing but a leaf being carried by the wind
Violently tossed by the waves of the ocean
Oh what a rollercoaster life...

Starting a million things without finishing anything
Dreaming of the biggest things without doing anything
Becoming no more than an empty husk, an empty shell
With wonderful designs but nothingness inside
Oh what a rollercoaster life!

It's pretty cool to make impromptu songs out of nowhere. I'll use this technique to help discipline and teach my future children someday haha.

It would be very fun to see them doing the same for their friends when they grow up, then their friends learning it from them, and so on. Thus, the 1000-year tradition begins.

Current Situationalysis

Songs and poems aside, I have observed that I have been kept busy by these things rather than working on myself and my life:

Playing Clash Royale

This is one of the most addicting online games made by Supercell which consists of making the best decks and fighting other players with different decks. It's a great stress reliever and time waster, for it feels good to make progress in the game and crushing your enemies with your own hands.

Upon wasting so many days playing this game, I have come to realize that there's no perfect deck that will allow you to obliterate every person in the world, and even if you do manage to do it, the game would update again and introduce cards to counter your deck.

It seems to me that I'm only playing this game to deal with my sense of inferiority to other people who are better than me by crushing them in the game. It's also easier and less risky to make progress in the game than making progress in my own life.

Whenever I lose, I want to play more to crush more of them, but whenever I win, I want to play more and see if I'm the strongest. There are players who has spent their entire years and life savings playing that game, and I cannot seem to win against them no matter how hard I try.

Basically, I'm playing this game to substitute for the seemingly lack of progress in my life and feel more superior to others for no reason.

However, as a self-improvement writer and a sage, I know full well that trying to become the most superior would only end up in vain, because you'll only become more critical to yourself and lose the people around you.

Furthermore, substituting any game for the lack of progress in your life only makes your life worse and eliminates the tiny progress you already make.

Watching anime

Just as how I substitute that game for my life's progress, it seems I am also trying to substitute watching anime to having my own adventures and living a wonderful life myself.

I'm not saying that watching anime or playing games are bad in itself, but once the person uses them as substitutes for their life, them it becomes destructive to their health and soul.

It's important to minimize pleasure intake and only do them when they are completely deserved, when we have completed our portion of the work and made progress in our life.

Being Devoured by Fear

Another unexpected activity that eats a major portion of my time is being devoured by fear. When this happens, we become completely paralyzed in our thoughts and actions while the guilt slowly breaks down our soul just as how our saliva enzymes breaks down the food.

It seems to me that, there are times that I would rather let myself be devoured by fear than to make the decision myself and face the consequences. When we suddenly face something uncomfortable in our lives, we tend to bury our heads in the sand and pretend not to notice anything.

From what I analyzed, being scared and anxious, then using these feelings as a reason not to do anything, is the greatest, most self-deceptive thing the human mind can ever do.

It's not that the human mind is weak and feeble, it's that the mind is so powerful and strong that it can turn itself into an immovable object or an unstoppable force anytime it wanted, with most people chooses being the former.

It can make itself sick, but it can also heal itself. It can fool itself, but it can also enlighten itself. The person's mind is almost omnipotent within its own domain. To extend this power into our personality and actions would be a rather easy task to achieve, since they're directly connected to each other.

Celestial Dilemma of Free Will

However the problem remains: how do we convince the mind to realize its power and use it to turn a person into an unstoppable force, without forcing the person to do it against their will or using supernatural techniques?

This is a problem that require us to think holistically, emotionally, and psychologically, since we have to assume that we are not talking to a rational person but to their fragile, sensitive, and emotional ego. This is probably what a good counselor does haha.

I like to believe that some celestials who are assigned to look after the development of individual humans have no choice but to face this dilemma. Likewise, this is also something that self-improvement writers, psychologists, and therapists have been trying to solve for decades now.

Celestial Solution

If I were a celestial assigned to guard a person's destiny and look after their personal development using my powers to work behind the scenes and control tiny details about their environment, I will make sure that they experience the consequences of their actions and gently guide them to their goal.

To do that, I will try my best to bring plenty of opportunities for growth disguised as uncomfortable and annoying experiences, ensure that they can find a way to have their physical needs met, and have them enjoy the finer things in life regardless of what they do.

This way, they will feel the unconditional care of the universe for them, plus experience the consequences for doing nothing and allow them to enjoy fruits of their labor.

My power may be severely limited depending on the person's spiritual capacity, but I shall do my best to undertake this task they have assigned for me. All for the glory of the Creator.

In the end, it's still their decisions that would finalize everything, but I have faith that they will choose the one that's best for them.

(The celestial guardians have probably already thought of my solution and came up with something better since they're smarter than humans haha.)

Life Coach's Solution

If I were a private life coach paid to unlock the full potential of my client and make them unstoppable, I'll make them accountable for everything they do, design physical calendar systems for them to become more consistent, help them with setting goals, and make independent enough to do all these things even without me.

To do this, I will have to first know the personality, desires, and values of my client so I would know better how to make them persuade themselves, then listen to all their irrationality to help them listen to themselves.

Once those stuff are done, I can proceed with the techniques and procedures in accordance to my own theories and the standards of Life Coaching Association for the sake of my client.

Conclusion

Ideally, it would be for the best if the person has been assigned their celestial guardians or if they have someone with at least decent listening skills beside them to aid their growth and prevent them from getting stuck.

However, not everyone has those people or celestials around them, making it extremely difficult for them to know what to do or improve their situation.

Fortunately, those people who doesn't have any guardians usually can't think transcendentally, something like "Suppose that I'm the best person in the world when it comes to this, what should I do? For what deeper reason or purpose do I experience this pain?" so they don't experience as much existential anguish and identity crisises as those who can.

People with higher consciousness levels and can think transcendentally experience higher strains on their soul and personality, so even the most normal of suffering can be brutal for them, while those with normal consciousness levels are simple people who doesn't suffer as much.

Still, I think it's worth the risk to have higher consciousness and awareness even if it means taking more suffering for the sake of higher chances of success and happiness.

Going back to the topic, if a person has no one beside themselves to encourage them, then the only thing left to do would be to make best use of what they have and try their best to help themselves.

After all, a person's mind is powerful enough to imagine, believe, plan, and turn everything they planned to reality.

"Would you rather be an animal who cannot think nor choose, or a human being with enough freedom to reach their dreams or make themselves suffer?"

"How many games and anime episodes would it take a person to realize that their life could be far more entertaining than anything they can find on the internet, if only they made the decision for it?"

"Self-deception has always been and always will be the mortal enemy of humanity."
