Lee Jung-hoo (25, Kiwoom Heroes), who is hoping to make it to the Major League Baseball, has been in the spotlight in the United States. This time, he was named one of the nine free agents to watch in the entire offseason.

MLB.com, the official website of Major League Baseball, introduced Lee in an article titled "9 Most Compelling Free Agents of the Offseason" on Aug. 8 (KST).

"It's not easy to predict whether a KBO star will be able to adapt to the MLB," the publication said, "but with his strong contact ability, Lee should be able to settle in relatively smoothly."

"He broke his ankle in July, which limited him to 86 games, but he should be healthy by the time he makes his major league debut." The nine free agents mentioned alongside Lee include some big names. Matt Chapman (Toronto Blue Jays), Jordan Montgomery (Texas Rangers), Aaron Nola (Philadelphia Phillies), and Lucas Giolito (Cleveland Cavaliers) were also mentioned.

Despite not yet being in the major leagues and having his season cut short by injury, Lee is being mentioned alongside some of the best players in the big leagues. It's a testament to the high expectations and interest in the local scene.
