Spring Basketball Rising Busan KCC is on the verge of advancing to the semifinals

Showing off "Super Team" for 2 consecutive wins in the 1st and 2nd games
Game 3 against Seoul SK in Busan

"Super Team" Busan KCC has been reborn as a team that is close to perfection. KCC, which ranked fifth in the regular season despite its top-notch performance, has shown off its powerful teamwork since the spring season of basketball.

In the third round of the 2023-2024 KBL semi-final playoff against the Seoul SK Wyverns, which will take place at Busan Sajik Gymnasium on the 8th, KCC aims to confirm its advance to the semifinals. KCC had two consecutive wins in the first and second away games, leaving only one win to advance to the semifinals PO. The odds of winning the first and second round of the semi-finals PO are 100 percent (23 out of 23).

This season, KCC formed a lineup of top Korean players consisting of Heo Woong, Choi Jun-yong, Song Kyo-chang, Lee Seung-hyun, and Ra Gun-ah. However, due to weak teamwork during the regular season, the team showed below-expectations performance. Ahead of the upcoming PO match, KCC coach Jeon Chang-jin said, "Playing with a sense of responsibility should be shown rather than batting performance and dissatisfaction."

With the spring basketball starting, KCC became a completely different team. The fast-tempo attack on the team at the end of the regular season is shining even more. With each player's powerful attack and organic play that helps each other, hot scoring is being produced.

Heo Woong, Ra Gun-ah, and Song Kyo-chang jointly scored 53 points twice in the first and second matches, spearheading KCC's offense. KCC had 63 bench points during the two matches, outpacing SK with only 34 points. Epistola, an Asian quarterback player, and Jeong Chang-young, who are strong defense players, also added scores in every crisis.

His defense was also successful. KCC players minimized the opponent team's points by displaying strong determination, spirit, and active assisting defense. Notably, they focused on blocking Jamil Warney, SK's main scorer. Warney lost half of his power as he was tied to 14 points in the first game and 18 points in the second game.

Manager Jeon Chang-jin has set his goal of finishing the series with three consecutive wins. On the other hand, SK, which has to pursue a "zero percent miracle," was faced with a major negative factor. Oh Jae-hyun, who has grown up as a key guard, is unable to play in the third game due to a ruptured ankle ligament.
