"Junpo will be a big boost."

The long-awaited playoffs begin.

The OK Financial Group, a men's professional volleyball team, will face Woori Card in the first round of the Dodram 2023-2024 V-League playoffs (PO, best-of-three series) at Jangchung Gymnasium in Seoul on the 23rd.

OK Financial Group, which entered the spring volleyball tournament for the first time in three years, succeeded in entering the PO after a full-set battle with Hyundai Capital in a semi-playoff (semi-PO) match on the 21st. The performance of the triangular formation was evenly distributed. Leonardo Leyva (registered name Leo), the "foreign ace," scored 43 points, the most points scored by an individual in a semi-PO game. Song Hee-chae also scored 15 points and played like an archer with an attack success rate of 54.17 percent. Shin Ho-jin, who scored 12 points, scored a game point in the 5th set 14-13, becoming the main character of the victory period.

OK Financial Group is leading Woori Card in the opponent team of PO with four wins and two losses overall. Notably, it won all three matches in away matches at Jangchung Gymnasium. In the final sixth round, it also won after five sets, with Leo scoring 36 points, Shin Ho-jin scoring 19 and Vallarsaihan scoring 13 points, respectively. Players who replaced Kim Gun-woo and one-point blocker Park Won-bin, who were deployed as one-point servers, also excelled in the right place.

During the last regular league showdown with Woori Card, many away fans of OK Financial Group visited Jangchung Gymnasium to give strength to the team. Thanks to the support of fans who have cheered enthusiastically at home and away from the last minute of the regular league, they also seek victory in the first round of the playoffs.

This playoff showdown is also a revenge match three years ago. OK Financial Group met Woori Card at the PO three years ago and knelt down with two losses overall.

"Players have been able to come this far thanks to their good work and performance in what they are pursuing," said OK Financial Group manager Ogiino Masahiro. "It is a tiring schedule to take a day off and play, but I think it will be okay because the players have physical stamina. It is important to target the serve that can break down the distribution of Woori Card's offense."

Song Hee-chae, who played in semi-PO, has good memories of playing against Woori Card in the regular league. She scored a total of 67 points and had an attack success rate of 52.73 percent against Woori Card in this season's regular league. Both records are the best records of the opposing team's performances. "A semi-PO victory will give us a big boost to climb higher. I think it will be a fun game, and I will enjoy and play. I will try to bring victory to the team through our own volleyball, not through the opponent's play," she said.
