The MVPs selected by coach Seung-yeop Lee and the coaching staff are fielder Kim Min-hyuk and pitcher Kim Taek-yeon"

Doosan, which began its spring camp in Sydney, Australia on February 1, developed its sense of real-world skills by playing evaluation matches with Japanese teams in Miyazaki and Fukuoka, Japan.

Kim Taek-yeon, a 2024 rookie who was selected as the second overall pick in the first round, appeared in four games during spring training and pitched well with 1 hit, no hits, no walks, and 8 strikeouts in 4⅓ innings.

The highest speed of a fastball has already exceeded 150 km/h.

Kim Taek-yeon said, "I didn't expect it at all.

It was given to me as a sign to do well in the future."

He added, "Spring camp is a process.

We are going as well as we prepared, but we should not be satisfied.

“I will prepare thoroughly to show a better performance in the regular season,” he said.

Kim Min-hyuk posted a batting average of 0.421 (8 hits in 19 at-bats), 2 home runs, and 8 RBIs in 7 games during spring camp.

He said, “Baseball was really fun throughout spring camp.

“I am more satisfied with my mental growth than my batting record,” he said.

“I finished spring camp well in the direction I wanted.”

“I will continue with my current mindset and only think about showing a good performance in front of the fans,” he pledged.

Coach Lee Seung-yeop said, “We successfully completed the first and second camps without a single dropout.

“It was possible thanks to the hard work of the players, coaching staff, and staff,” he said.
